When installing the driver via Zadig, did you receive any errors? With the latest version of Zadig (version 2.4), I kept receiving error message "The driver installation failed." After rebooting, I found the driver was actually installed, but possibly corrupted; Device Manager listed it as a libusbK USB device. I was then able to successfully replace the driver (without any error messages) via Zadig, but like you, I found that I could not pair my Wii Remote (with built-in Motion Plus) with Dolphin. However, installing the driver with Zadig version 2.3 was able to remedy this issue. Perhaps using version 2.3 will solve your issue.

You may also have success with forcing the adapter to be recognized via the "Dolphin.ini" file (located at Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config). There is a section to insert the VID and PID of your device. The default values are as follows:

[BluetoothPassthrough]
Enabled = True
VID = -1
PID = -1

The dongle's PID and VID values can be found in Device Manager > Properties > Details > Property (dropdown menu): Hardware Ids. They need to be converted from hexadecimal to decimal values (RapidTables is one of many online converters). So, VID "0A12" and PID "0001" as decimal values would be "2578" and "1", respectively.

If the above-mentioned methods do not work, then perhaps your Bluetooth dongle is incompatible. If that is the case, then I would suggest using another dongle. The Dolphin Emulator Wiki contains a list of compatible devices. I have had recent success (just a few hours ago) using a CSR Bluetooth 4.0 device, the FeasyAdapter Bluetooth USB dongle. It comes with an an attachable antenna and remains stable at longe ranges. It also supports multiple Wii Remotes (well, at least two as far as I know at the moment) and remembers pairings. Though, the speaker audio is just ever so slightly garbled at times (I'm not sure if this can be attributed to the dongle).

Stay away from 3rd party gamecubecontrollers.
They are horrible and won't last long. Atleast every single one i had yet.

Spend the extra money and buy original gamecube controllers from Nintendo. Trust me it's worth it. If there is any aspect of Nintendo's hardware to praise that it'd be it's resilliance.

The "Mayflash GamecubeController adapter for PC and Wii U" and "Nintendo GamecubeController adapter for Wii U" have native support and function perfectly in dolphin so you don't have to worry about input lag or button configuration or anything else.

Seriously, there is no better way to play gamecube (&Wii) games on pc than with orginial controllers and one of those two adapters.

For Dolphin, CPU (processor) matters more than the GPU (graphics card). Ideally, you could get a desktop with a high end CPU and a low-mid end GPU for the best results for the price.

This should be ideal for your price range: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXiVR8060A2-Desktop-i5-7400-7200RPM/dp/B01MT0781S/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1503301433&sr=1-8&keywords=gaming+desktop

This one is a little cheaper, can't vouch for AMD GPUs on Dolphin though: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXiVR8020A3-Desktop-Graphics-802-11AC/dp/B071NG75BW/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1503301433&sr=1-5&keywords=gaming+desktop

Hopefully I'm not too late.

They have USB powered Wii Sensor bars on Amazon. I have this one plugged into the usb port on my TV and it works as good or better than my original bar.

Any on Amazon/ eBay or other sites work well for a relativity cheap price. I got this one for my Wiimotes and works perfectly with my PC. Just make sure to either get Bluetooth 4.0 or 5.0

Yes, buy a DolphinBar

http://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74

It's, in my experience, an absolutely flawless implementation of Wiimote (+) connection for the PC. Built in recognition from Dolphin and it's basically plug and play, it even auto configures the wiimote in the settings. It's more than worth the $20 because it basically makes Dolphin into a full fledged Wii. It also supports any accessory for the Wii that Dolphin does. I also might be wrong but I think that most non DolphinBar interfaces don't handle Wiimote Pluses, which are, in my opinion, one of the more fun parts of the Wii.

u/theme57 · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

Okay, would something like this work? Seems like I could convert it to USB power a lot easier too.

u/Ploddit · 3 pointsr/DolphinEmulator

Opinions vary, but I had nothing but trouble with the Mayflash bar.

What works best for me is Bluetooth passthrough and a cheapo sensor bar.

u/menschi9 · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

you can definitely use just any bluetooth adapter to connect wiimotes to dolphin (I did that in the past with some logitech dongle) but then you might be in need to manually tell your pc to connect to the wiimote every time you try to turn the wiimote on. Apart from that if you use the dolphin bar https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00HZWEB74/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=dolphin+bar+wii&qid=1572746488&sr=8-1 (I am using this now) wiimotes will automatically connect to them and get recognized by dolphin. works like a charm.

So as described i think the 8bitdodo (as any other bluetooth dongle) is definetely gonna work with wiimotes but im not sure if there is a similar seamless auto connection funtionality

u/The_Duke_Leto · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

2 candles would do the trick, but yeah, you more or less need a sensor bar, and for that; allow me to recommend the DolphinBar https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483134932&sr=8-1&keywords=dolphinbar

I just got one and it's the coolest thing ever.

Mine also had dead zones that made playing anything impossible. This controller was superior, but still cheap junk https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ADD49XM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A phone clip, with a short otg cable wired ps4/xbox one controller is the best way to go. https://i.imgur.com/CbejxeI.jpg

I would recommend this one instead, designed exclusively for Dolphin and much easier remote pairing, worth every penny.

It's been working fine with other games like DKC Returns but it does not like Skyward Sword. Constantly disconnects when using the sword.

Have you used the Dolphin bar for Skyward Sword and had good results?

u/UNSC_John-117 · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

Honestly, I tried a USB controller and I never could get it to work. I’ve been using Mayflash’s USB GC hub for years and it’s worked perfectly even with my Wavebird.

Really easy to setup for Dolphin too.
This tutorial says you can use the official adapter but the same method works for this too

u/IArgueWithAtheists · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

I wouldn't call those DVD drives expensive. Here's one I bought for $24 and it worked great. You might need an IDE <-> SATA adapter though.

Amazon.de ships to the Netherlands. It even has a Dutch site. I ordered my dolphin bar there about a month ago. Shipping took about 3 days.

https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B00HZWEB74/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85Z%C3%95%C3%91&qid=1499288744&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=dolphin+bar&dpPl=1&dpID=31MCbBl5O9L&ref=plSrch

Edit: Amazon.de does not support Ideal, so you could use this site to buy gift cards for amazon.de through Ideal:

I agree completely. I find most nintendo games impossible (or at least frustrating) to play without the matching console controller. SNES/NES being obvious exceptions. I've got one of these to deal with all the adapters for real controllers on my emu/htpc station.

u/marcfletcher · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74

Think you have to download some drivers for it to work but this would be good for all of the motion sensor stuff

u/calscoo · 2 pointsr/DolphinEmulator

I was poking around for quite sometime on dolphins compatibility page trying to find a dongle that was all green and in stock. A lot of what's on their listed seems to be out of stock, or just not a viable option. (Didn't wanna screw with the PCIe bluetooth card and there is little info online for the original Wii bluetooth adapter). I eventually settled on the UGREEN dongle and the USB Sensor Bar, both of which are known compatible devices with dolphin.

After setting up the devices I can say that I am very satisfied with both products. All I need to do to pair my wiimotes is simply press the red sync button on the bottom of the controller when dolphin is open and it's paired in a few seconds.

There are a few things to note with this setup though.

  1. Keep in mind that with USB sensor bars you will need to unplug them when you aren't using them. The Wii sensor bar is designed to turn off when the Wii is off to avoid burning out the infrared leds. (I tried setting my computer up to turn off the USBs when the PC is off but I couldn't get it figured out for the life of me)
  2. The included instructions for the USB dongle that I linked are garbage. It comes with a CD for drivers (but it's 2019, and my SFF build doesn't know what CD is), but the website in the manual is NOT the correct place to find the drivers. After a bit of research, I finally found the correct driver for the adapter. Once it's plugged in, just follow dolphins passthrough instructions and you're off! And for under $20, prime eligible too!
u/SleepyFangs · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

Would this be good? Id prefer to get one prebuilt because I don’t know anyone who could help me build one so it’s more of a last resort currently.

u/ultimate_anonymous · 2 pointsr/DolphinEmulator

It's neither. It's a nintendo switch gamecube-style controller. Like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GXKCPJT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

It's wired with a usb cable.

u/Senzu · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

It was this model https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RSXRLUE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1

And yes, I am using the native wiiu mode for the dolphin 5.0 version.

u/chrisl23 · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

I picked up one of these

http://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74

It works great on my Windows 10 machine. It was basically plug and play and dolphin recognises the wiimote no problem.

u/Rubular · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

It's entirely possible. You just use a Wii sensor bar, like you would on a Wii. You can buy USB ones like this online for $10-20.

You can't connect a Wiimote to just a Bluetooth adapter. You'll need to buy a Dolphin Bar as well. Otherwise it won't know where you're pointing or aiming it.

u/E_R_E_R_I · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

>also, does a method of playing oot or mm on dolphin exist

Yes

EDIT: Uh, why was this downvoted?

Yeah this is the one you want.

Mayflash W010 Wireless Sensor DolphinBar for Wii https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HZWEB74/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iNAYDbWQ5WDEV

There are specific bt stacks that can work with thw controllers, but my recollection when I looked I to it way back in the day is that they can be quite temperamental and wonky

u/CoffeetipM8 · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

For PC? The Mayflash W010 Dolphin Bar.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mayflash-W010-Dolphin-Bar-Wireless/dp/B00HZWEB74/

(It's available on the US Amazon store too. Search for it there if needed.)

u/Daveed84 · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

This guy? https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74/

Just a few minutes ago I discovered my issue, it turns out that it was actually a problem with the bluetooth range on my motherboard's bluetooth adapter... If I had the Wiimote resting on my case, it would work, but as soon as I picked it up to use it, it disconnected. So I found an old bluetooth adapter that was kicking around in a drawer and it seems to be working fine now

u/iNfANTcOMA · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

i picked up this one

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBC8BHI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

but i still havent used it since i cannot keep wiimote connected to my pc.

u/dukentre · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

It doesn't. You'll need either to have it connected to a running Wii or a USB or battery powered sensor bar. The DolphinBar acts as both a USB sensor bar and a bluetooth adapter.

u/TheRealLT · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

Dolphin 7840

Mayflash 4 port as seen here

When I say it did not work, it simply produced the same results as when I have the PC mode enabled.

u/JacobTheButtonMasher · 2 pointsr/DolphinEmulator

Generic Bluetooth dongles are kinda terrible compared to the dolphin bar. You should consider it even if your setup works. The Bluetooth seems to be the most stable

u/Cspiby · 1 pointr/DolphinEmulator

Recieved the Bluetooth adapter today, works with passthrough fine at least with one controller, I get sound via the wiimote too.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01LX6HISL?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

The sensor bar has 3 LEDs at each end, not sure how that compares to the standard one but seems to do the trick, I have it plugged into the TV so it's not on the whole time.
