it looks cool but its not very fun, it only holds 2. Here is so better nerf shotguns:

Rough cut

Rival Atlas

Sledge Fire

EDIT: also, the atlas is probably the best if you want practicality, because it uses magazines allowing for easy reloading, it only shoots 2 balls at once though.

If you want spread and amount of firepower the sledge fire is the best, its a break action that shoots 3 darts at once.

The rough cut wins in rate of fire as you can just hold down the trigger and pump over and over again, letting out a hellstorm of darts

Satan being God's #1 angel is actually based on later tradition, rather than from the Bible. A lot of "facts" about Satan that we pretty much take for granted nowadays are actually tacked on over time from various other sources. It's actually a pretty interesting topic, and you can read up a little about it here, and there's a pretty good book about the subject here.

> Consoles are NOT just as vulnerable as PCs when it comes to hacking, because you can't run third party programs on them in order to cheat at games.

Putting windows on an Xbox

Linux on the PS4

Homebrew software on the 3DS

Yes you can. Someone always figures it out.

> run DOOM, yes. Can every gaming PC run DOOM? Not equivocally. Because different cards on the top end PCs (Vulcan for instance) are having trouble. Refute that.

Let's look at the hardware specs minimum. It's recommended that you need a GeForce GTX 670 at minimum to play. Okay, let's look at that price on amazon. $213 for a 670. Let's compare that the the PS4's GPU in terms of power. Higher numbers are better if you don't understand them.

GTX 670;

  • Base Clock: 915MHz
  • Boost Clock: 960MHz
  • Memory Clock: 6008MHz
  • Cuda Cores: 1344
  • Memory: 2048MB GDDR5 256bit

    PS4:

  • Base clock: 800 MHz
  • Cores: 1
  • Memory: 8GB GDDR5

And really for the PS4, that's all I could find that could be compared. Now you may have noticed "Oh we have more memory though so clearly your card is inferior".

Valid observation, but still not a strong point, because A) That's shared memory for the PS4. That's not just for graphics, that's for everything the PS4 does, OS, math, networking, sound, etc.. The 670 doesn't need that space, since all it does is run graphics, not an entire operating system. This means that the PS4 is constantly being weighted down by everything it has to do, when the 670's job is to do one thing. Graphics.

The 670 is more powerful than the PS4. That means that if the PS4 can run it, the 670 can run it. And guess what the kicker is? Already own a PC? Just plug that bad boy in and you're done. So it's even cheaper. I am more than happy to answer all your concerns.

And FYI, Vulcan is an API. Entirely a software thing. Nothing to do with hardware other than older cards will have to chug a bit harder.

    EDIT: Words

That's your problem. GTX 750 isn't powerful enough and doesn't meet the requirements. Here's a comparison

>DOOM System Requirements

>MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM

>Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better

>Storage: 55 GB available space
Additional Notes: Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap

You have a 1GB VRAM graphics card. DOOM requires 2GB VRAM at a minimum. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your card just can't run the game. You will have to look into getting an upgrade. Fortunately the new AMD RX 480 will be coming out soon and that will only cost $199 for the 4GB version which will be great. And it has low power requirements.

Alternatively if you want to get a card right now, I say the minimum should be a GTX 950. $140 on Amazon right now is a pretty good deal.

I have the Audio Technica LP-120, and it is amazing. Highly recommended as an entry level turntable.

Super envious of your collection already!

You can still purchase through amazon app store. D-touch was pulled from the Play Store with little to no explanation from Google. Belokos ports are amazing!! Definitely grab this if your looking for a portable Doom experience!!

u/Gollgagh · 1 pointr/Doom

D-Touch is currently your best bet, it supports chocolate doom, some version of prboom, and an old version of GZDoom.

Someone was working on a port to support newer versions, but I don't think he's made much progress (at least publicly).

u/softchassis · 1 pointr/Doom

Sorry in advance that this isn't really answering your question but, I tried a handful of them and all of the controls were too poor to use. Could barely get through E1M1 on UV.

It's $2.85 on Amazon, but D-Touch is seriously the best option and not in a "It's sucks less than the others" kinda way either. The controls are configured specifically for touch screens and they're highly configurable, and there's also support for gamepads. Not only that but it comes with PrBoom, Chocolate and GZDoom, and the GZDoom part is good enough to run most mods you throw at it provided your device is powerful enough--even Brutal Doom if you're into that.

The controls work like there's invisible joysticks on each lower corner of the screen, with the left side being for movement and the right being for aiming. There's a fire and use button on the right side, on the top edge of the aiming zone. Tapping the fire button and sliding your thumb around will continue firing.

I seriously recommend just forking over the 3 bucks for it like I did because it's seriously worth it, but I'm sure we'll all look the other way if you want to obtain it via other means.

u/Famixofpower · 8 pointsr/Doom

It's very clear that's what it was during E3, and they appear to have left a few UAC logos on the suit if you look at it in a model viewer. In fact, some official merchandise, like this, still have some of the UAC marine logos

Oh yeah, put too much time into it to just erase. Made an 11" x 17" stencil that I printed, cut out, and taped to the lectern. Traced that with some chalk I bought a few years ago; outlined in white, removed the stencils and then filled in with red, then orange, then yellow. I'm really happy with how it came out.

Deciding if I want to put anything at the bottom.

I can't speak specifically for OP's friend, but Something Like This is likely the answer.

Also hell on earth inferno and end game

The first two are slightly canon the last two are.....just pure amazing even though they quickly beam off into non canon.

The reason I love them so much though is if I want canon doom I have the video games. If I want a badass narrative that can make me feel ways I don’t know how to feel in my normal life I have the books.

There are also doom 3 books but I hear they aren’t as good.

u/Archive_06 · 1 pointr/Doom

There are two editions that I know of.

The cheaper one has two red LPs with the main tracks.

The more expensive one has four red LPs and a Doom slipmat (and the cover has a pretty kickass gatefold) as well as the soundtrack on CD. I’d check which edition is for sale because $50 for the two LP version seems like a stretch.

Edit: You can get the double LP version off Amazon for $40 here and as far as I know, the 4 LP version is no longer in production.

u/CisSiberianOrchestra · 1 pointr/Doom

Here you go.

With this, you can rip the vinyl to MP3 format and listen to them on pretty much any device you want.

u/badsectoracula · 4 pointsr/Doom

You mean QED (aka qED / Quot Erat Demonstrandum) the shareware editor written by Matt Tagliaferri (who also wrote the Quake Level Design Handbook that also came with the editor) or QuakeEd which became QE4 and later QERadiant and from that it evolved a ton of *Radiant derivatives (including GtkRadiant, Doom 3 Radiant, DarkRadiant, COD4 Radiant and lately Black Radiant and idStudio)?

I ask because i find it surprising that someone actually knows about qED, it seems to be like a tiny footnote among the tons of editors that were written for Quake (and still being written, like the new Trenchbroom editor). AFAIK it was considered a simple editor for a little while but was quickly surpassed by Worldcraft (which was bought by Valve, bundled with HL1 and eventually renamed to Hammer).

That thing needs a wash to darken it up and increase the grit.
