I've found a decent smartphone, the app "audio evolution mobile studio" and a 20-dollar condenser microphone
are enough for the hobbyist recorder. Focus on content, rather than production value.

Also, on iOS, the app "Spire" is probably better.

You're all welcome

If you want to trip stoned

Taking advantage of the brief attention to say check out this book (I'm never gonna forgive myself for using my art insta to message Kevin instead of the book one, it would have fit right in with the species war)

If the Amazon reviews are to be believed, sounds like you'd be getting a deal at twice the price.

(Certainly I'm not suggesting that the curiously California-based reviewers, many of whom never reviewed another product, are friends or plants or anything, but I'm not not suggesting it either. I mean, "Steven D. Agee"? Sounds made up.)

Today marks the 34th birthday of Harris "Hair of the dog" Wittels. He left this cosmos 3 years ago and will be forever missed. Here are some of my favourite Harris stories from the past few years:

Sarah Silverman

Joe Mande, Mike Mitchell and Nick Wiger (time stamp: 16:00)

(there was another story Mitch told about Harris and a valet that crashed his car, can't recall which episode, Anyone know?)

Mitch and Wiger again (timestamp: 10:55)

Dan Harmon and Rob Shraub

Edit:
Also, a reminder that there are 2 events being held today to commemorate Harris:

Harris Phest@ the 8th Wonder Brewery in Houston, Tx (credit to /u/eatsieboys )

Harris Wittels' 34th Birthday Bash! Live @ UCBT Franklin in L.A. (credit to /u/theuprightcitizenian )

Edit to the Edit:

For those who want to know more about Harris, I suggest you read/listen to Sephanie Wittels Wach's book 'Everything Is Horrible and Wonderful: A Tragicomic Memoir of Genius, Heroin, Love and Loss'

I'm seriously considering buying his book, to be honest.

$10 on Amazon, get some, take a photo of you eating them while giving the finger, and send a pic to Ani

I bought the bluray on Amazon because I didn't see it streaming anywhere: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011ID14F2/

The pens they got (last product photo is identical to the one on Twitter, so the design has updated since the first 5 were taken): https://www.amazon.com/Pentel-EnerGel-X-Retractable-Liquid-Black/dp/B005EE4UG2/

I've been waiting a long time to send a copy of Rockabye Baby to the Earwolf offices.

An acquaintance of mine who now writes for Colbert just put out his book Santa's Husband. It is so so very good, and I think he may have snuck Frank Ocean into the wedding scene.
