  1. We are in communion with Rome.
  2. A rite is a unique liturgical patrimony. Just as there is the Roman Rite (with its various expressions including Ordinary Form, Extraordinary Form, Ambrosian, etc.), so there are many Eastern Rites including Byzantine, Armenian, Coptic, Syro-Malabar, Syro-Malankar, Maronite, etc). They’re all different liturgical families.
  3. Our theology is similar to Orthodoxy. One way to look at it is that we believe everything Roman Catholics do, but we express our faith as the Orthodox do. The major difference between us and the Orthodox is that we are in communion with Rome.
  4. Some of us have a different date for Easter based on the Julian Calendar, and some of us follow the Gregorian Calendar.
  5. This book does a decent job of explaining much of this.
