Me: I would like to preorder FIFA 18 Icon Edition PS4 digital with my prime discount, but FIFA 18 has never been available with the 20% off discount. I will cancel my Best Buy preorder if I can order through Amazon with my prime discount.

Me: https://www.amazon.com/FIFA-18-Icon-Digital-Code/dp/B071JMNNM1/ref=sr_1_1_twi_sof_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1505830328&sr=8-1&keywords=fifa%2B18%2Bicon&th=1

Qaqamba: I'm only seeing $ 99 99

Me: FIFA 18 has never been available for preorder prime discount for some reason. I would like to preorder through Amazon, but none of the versions have ever been available with the usual prime discount.
If I can't get the discount I'll just keep my Best Buy preorder. I was just wondering if there was a way since I have Prime and part of the reason to have prime was the 20% discount on preorder games.

Qaqamba: I will add a $20 promotional credit to your account. To make up for the discount.

Me: Ok that sounds fine. I appreciate your help.
I will preorder as soon as I see the credit.
Thank you!

Qaqamba: You're most welcome I've added a $20 promotional certificate to your account. This amount will automatically apply the next time you order an item shipped and sold by Amazon.com. You will receive a confirmation e-mail right after our chat :)

Me: awesome thanks

If you're going for a 24 inch monitor the Acer Nitro is a pretty good one at a reasonable price. As you're looking for a gaming monitor it's probably best to go for one that has a 75mhz refresh rate, but that's up to you. If you wanna go a bit cheaper the Iiyama G-master is up there as well, but I'm not really familiar with that one. If you're looking to get a curved monitor, the Samsung C24F390FHU could be the one for you. Not the most expensive out there but also not quite hitting that 75mhz which is great for gaming. I wish you good luck! It took me a while to find my perfect monitor but at last I found this one at a very low price so I decided to go with it and haven't regretted it since.

FIFA is a great way to get into soccer. You can start out in career mode to find a team/players that you enjoy using. Once you identify those players and tactics that you're comfortable give FUT a try. It's really enjoyable for me to build a team and compete online against people, even though I'm not very good. Also, I would recommend reading this article: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/060719 for a humorous look at picking a Premier League team.

This book is also amazing and offers a good look at what an American moving to England and learning to love the sport goes through: http://www.amazon.com/Bloody-Confused-Clueless-American-Sportswriter/dp/0767928083/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450281120&sr=8-1&keywords=bloody+confused

Absolutely. In fact, you really don't need to spend that much if you don't want to, but that card will be great for other games too. I use a slightly less powerful version of that card and I get 150+ FPS in FIFA 15, which is awesome because I picked up a gaming monitor that can do 144hz.

An XBOX controller should work fine. If you want another option, I use this one and it works great:

If you REALLY wanna like dive deep into soccer and understand everything about formations and the history of the game, get this book:

Inverting The Pyramid: The History of Soccer Tactics https://www.amazon.com/dp/1568587384/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tDgzyb5QTEA1H

But really if you go on YouTube and with videos that explain the basic rules, subscribe to some great YouTube soccer channels (uMaxit is one, Kick TV another), and start following a team and watching matches you'll be well on your way.

I've always been a Real Madrid fan, but catching games can be tricky if you don't have beIN sports. Download the go90 app and you can stream La Liga and Serie A matches for free, and cast to a chromecast or apple tv. If you wanna get into the premiere league it's pretty easy with NBC Sports, carried by most cable networks. Cheers!

The sticks aren't too bad to get used to but I think the controller overall is a bit too short height-wise (ie. where I rest the palms of my hands to where my fingers lay over the triggers). On Xbox 360 my fingertips fit perfectly on the triggers so that my fingertips were on top of the buttons, but on PS4 my fingertips are almost completely off the trigger buttons (ie. having off them past the first knuckle) and I either have to move my fingers back so I can press the L1 or R1 buttons or I have to keep my fingers completely off the side of the controller so my fingertips lay on L2/R2.

It's not awful for stuff like Shadow of Mordor (where time slows down when I need to use L2/R2) but I think I'll have to buy this controller in order to play FIFA comfortably.

I personally prefer playing on my monitor compared to my 50" living room tv. It doesn't magically fix the fifa input delay/lag tho, but it might help a very slight bit. I just think it looks better and is easier to play on a nice 24" monitor

Edit: this isn't the exact one I got but it's similar and looks like it's on a flash sale today https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005BZNDS0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_k8mhAbSQJZC70

> Thanks for all the help guys! This was great!

> I have it narrowed down to 2 monitors - please help me select from among these two:

> The Benq - http://amzn.to/2pWn8jW This is the more expensive one, and also smaller by 3 inches. It's a shade under $200, and is the preferred brand by gamers it appears. However, I'm a nerd and like big screens (I'm moving from a 55" 4K TV) so the next one caught my eye.

> The ASUS - http://amzn.to/2qvJ1sj This is the monitor I use at work - its 27" vs 24", and still offers 2 ms response time. I feel like this one would allow me to see more of the pitch, while not sacrificing ms's.

> So, that's what I got - what do you guys think?!?! Leave me thoughts or just comment 1 or 2 so I can get this sorted. Thanks again Fifa Reddit, I don't care what the rest of the internet says about us, we are alright man.

yes amazon sells good ones. You only dont need anything over 60 hz because its on console. Just make sure you find one with good speakers unless you like playing fifa with a headset one...

the one i have is linked below. its $190 though https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JGYM5H6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Gerrard Final

Hopefully his prime drops to under 1mil so I can finally afford it. Though I might wait another couple of weeks and buy the new Special Stevie 🥰

Yea you do... I play on my tv as well. You should get a USB extender on amazon they are super cheap. I have one and it has came in handy many times. Especially if your controller dies and you want to keep playing.

It depends. Usually [this](Tealyra - Deep Breath - Eucalyptus - Ginger - Tulsi - Fennel - Wellness Herbal Loose Leaf Tea - Calming and Relaxing - Caffeine Free - 112g (4-ounce) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079KJMDT8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wJRODb06JVZVK) and if it’s classical, it’s Chopin

u/JoshPCMR · 1 pointr/FIFA

It'd be better to get say a 27" monitor with 1ms response times than a tv. TV's in general are shit for gaming.

Edit: This seems like a great monitor if your budget allows it - https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-C32G1-VA-HDMI-Monitor/dp/B07DT7YVSC/ref=sr_1_9?crid=23G9QLOGIIE0R&keywords=27+inch+monitor+1ms+response+time&qid=1568652190&sprefix=27+inch+monitor+1ms+%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-9

It's 32 inches, curved, has a 144hz refresh rate and a 1ms pixel response time. AOC panels are good for the price in my experience.

u/Fozzy62 · 1 pointr/FIFA

I bought this 24" BenQ a few months ago. I don't know if I would want the 28 inch that you linked, especially if your gonna keep it within like 5 feet of your face. Anyway, mines been great!

There isn't a preorder bonus that I am aware of for the Ultimate Edition which comes with the 40 Gold FUT packs and a few other bonuses. It's $69.99.

The Standard Edition which is $59.99 has a preorder bonus according to Amazon that includes:

"Pre-order the Standard Edition of FIFA 15 and receive up to $15 of FIFA Ultimate Team content. **Code available in product packaging."

This is for the USA, I'm not sure about other locations.

Just posted this to some one, this is a good one but if you can afford more go for an upgrade, i have a better version of this one and it is worth it.
