I got some for my CSL regular pedals and its been wonderful. I was having to push down on the front of the pedals even without the loadcell. Now i can push on it as much as i want and it doesnt move, and i dont roll away.
The instructions are pretty sparse, but look through them and take your time to put the bars together and its cake.
I use these, have about 100-150hrs ,and absolutely no sign of wear so far. I think what helps is that the material on the palm side of these gloves are very similar to the Alcantara, so really good grip with no rubbing. If you happen to naturally slide around or put abnormal forces on a certain part of the rim, I could see this happening.

You could try using another cable like this if you don't have similar ones laying around. Might be a waste of $6 but will be a fast fix if it's just the cable.
