they basically all use a samsung va panel, yeah, but the binning is extremely important and shouldn’t be overlooked. unless you can somehow confirm that the monitor doesn’t have any dead pixels or whatever before shipping, it’ll always be a risk. also, I’d honestly just go for something like a Dell S2716DG and catch it on sale. it’s a TN panel, but arguably the best TN panel on the market rn. comes with gsync as well, which is a premium commodity to say the least. got mine for $350 refurbished at best buy when it was on sale, no dead pixels or anything.

obligatory Seiko 5 comment. if you cant find a seiko 5 model you like there are near infinite modding options and parts to choose from, so if you see something with a case shape you like you can replace the dial, hands, bezel insert, crystal etc. I've done one Seiko 5 mod for my dad myself and am working on my own SKX007 mod right now. great watches for the money, you can find some on amazon for ~60ish USD.

I'd buy an inexpensive seam ripper like this and then clean up with scissors if needed.
I usually dont wash my rep stuff too often by trying my best to not do labor intensive activities in them and not sweat. Light Febreze or the dry cleaners if it must be done. If you just have to wash your reps, I suggest these.

As for any old pair, you'd want it flat laced and thinner. The chunkiness of the stock rep laces are what clutter up the silhouette imo.
