I had to delete the registry for my daughter to make one for the new one, sorry. But don't rely on your kid fitting the listed sizes. My daughter was a monster and is always measuring a size ahead. I stocked up on newborn and 0-3 and got some 3-6, but since then I've just been buying as I need them. Some other kids are tiny, too, so it's really hard to call for seasonal clothes more than 3-6 months ahead.

Also (and I'm only mentioning because it's a slight safety hazard) they suggest not putting accessories that aren't sold with the car seat on one. So the foxes are really cute, but you might not want to go for them. Same with the infant insert, if it's not made by the manufacturer.

The baby nail scissors are fucking amazing. I can't use anything else. She's so wiggly.

I used these guys to try out newborn diapers and it worked great. Not the cheapest on a per diaper basis, but it'll probably see you through the newborn diaper phase.

The cloth diapers for burp clothes are amazing. Get, like, 3000 of them. I'm barely joking.

This bib and these teethers worked great for me.

Harney and Sons is my all-time favorite. SO good, not bitter unless you let it steep too long. And it is strong.

Vanilla Almond from Republic of Tea is delicious too, and easy to find in grocery stores (I'm 99% sure whole foods carries it). Also strong with a nice flavor.

If you get loose leaf tea, I highly highly recommend getting a tea steeper. We have this one, it's easy to clean and keeps your tea free of leaves.

I got one called Bump For Joy. It's super cute and it has little pockets for storing extra papers and photos and stuff. I also love the way it uses the super trendy hand-lettered style with the floral wreath illustrations (sorry I have no idea what the correct terms are), bc all that stuff is going to look SUPER dated by the time my kid is old enough to look through it, and I'm hoping he'll be like pffft mom this looks so 2017. My baby book looks pretty dated too and I love it.

I just got a Kindred Bravely sleep/nursing bra from Amazon and it is SO NICE. Comfy comfy and so soft. I've had to get new bras a few times since a) underwire stopped being OK at like, week 6, and b) I have gone up a band size, and this is the nicest maternity bra I've bought yet. https://www.amazon.com/Kindred-Bravely-Racerback-Maternity-Breastfeeding/dp/B01MSWFMXZ/ref=sr_1_1?

I've also started stocking up on maternity gear, so far I've gotten jeans and t-shirts from Old Navy (the shirts are nice and long which is great as I am tall and have a long torso), some nicer shirts from Gap and Pink Blush. I also got some leggings from Motherhood this weekend and I might not take them off like, ever.

I'm right on the verge of standard and plus sizes so I appreciate that all of these shops carry a decent size range! Some maternity lines stop at surprisingly small sizes.

For the kids - things that will occupy them and aren’t messy or super noisy. Artsy things maybe? Chalk or dry erase (washable kind) coloring books. Pretend play or dress up. We just got my daughter this it’s nice bc the pieces are easy for kids to put on and off and aren’t super tiny. We put Minnie in a pencil box and call it her dressing room.

For Mom some things just for her. Tea? Sheet Masks? Nail polish? A subscription box to something she enjoys or will brighten her day (there’s one that sends fresh flowers). A game she can play with the kids. This one is cooperative and has different ways to play as they get older.

Duraflame DFI-5010-01 Infrared Quartz Fireplace Stove with 3D Flame Effect and Remote Control, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0AGJIQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_uOx.Ab4WC6FRS

We bought this and it was incredibly helpful during the winter months. Consistent and cool to the touch (which was important to me) and I felt safe with it. We had that running and then a fan in the room for better air circulation. Make sure you’re using a humidifier, although this heater isn’t supposed to make it as dry as others.

Edit: I feel like that heater kept it a consistent temperature that I wasn’t frozen at certain parts of the night, which wasn’t the case with my oil heaters

I haven't used these since being pregnant, but I did use them when I had shin splints from running and they were awesome. I also tried the full sock version, which was good too, but pretty hard to get on when NOT pregnant. I found the sleeves worked well for me and were easier to get on, plus I didn't feel so bad for not washing them after every wear, lol.

I've been using the Boppy side sleeper pillow since mid-September and love it. I add a firm pillow between my knees and ankles which keeps them comfortably separated, and have a softer pillow under my hips.

It's not perfect, but since I added the pillow under the hips, I've been sleeping significantly better AND I get to keep my normal pillow which I love dearly.

Mine prefers the Halo sleepsack, but we got a Love to Dream swaddle too which works pretty well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0081GJ038/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Ft5TAb05BYX40

We went to buy buy baby to check out the huge variety and test out the weight and ease of folding and unfolding the stroller. I initially thought I wanted the city mini GT but ended up really liking the Britax Elite travel system. It was easier to fold and lighter!

Haha, to be honest we just used the Avent bottle that came with our Amazon free registry box. I don't even know what sized nipple it was (but it's a small bottle). She is a big fan of eating generally, so I think she would have taken whatever was offered haha.

ETA: It appears to be this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYSKQYE/ref=s9_dcacsd_dcoop_bw_c_x_1_w?th=1 with the newborn nipple https://www.amazon.com/Philips-AVENT-Anti-Colic-Nipple-Medium/dp/B01JJB87VY/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=baby-products&srs=2598474011&ie=UTF8&qid=1521841531&sr=1-4&th=1

  • The Brest Friend pillow I adored last time was useless to me after my c-section this time. Instead I use a Gia which is also great because it puts them at an angle which helps with reflux.

  • The bassinet for the stroller... we live in the hills so half the time she'd be tipped down toward her head and wasn't happy about it. Plus it's black and gets very warm. If I'd been able to start going for walks right away (as opposed to waiting six weeks) I probably would have gotten more use out of it. Now she just rides in the regular stroller seat and is happy as a clam.

  • The Hakaa pump... I just don't seem to be able to get it to do anything.

We do actually already have a bed for when baby is ready - we were luckily gifted a full-size bed and beautiful headboard when we bought out house (a friend who was moving gave it to us free), so we're not really worried about the conversion aspect. Even if we were, the mini-crib I'm thinking about converts to both a toddler bed and a twin bed frame, so we could go from crib to toddler, then transition to the big girl fullsize bed.

He loves any of the Lamaze stuffed animals since they have bright colors and different textures. We have the monkey, cat, turtle and firefly (favorite is the firefly). He also loves this thing because he can grab it easily and stick it in his mouth.

u/rosesol · 2 pointsr/February2018Bumpers

I’m using this pump strap thing. I can easily do massages and compressions because it doesn’t cover the tops of my breasts and I can reach in. It’s neoprene though and smelled weird at first. I don’t know about adequate supply, but i did notice that my yield went up when I got a better sized flange (I’d say correctly sized, but they don’t make them that small, ha). I used this to find the exact size. Pumping is way more comfortable and takes less time for me now.

Yes! I do the same setup for naps as nighttime. I also love these sleep sacks. Stops him from startling but allows more movement and he can still use his hand to keep his paci in his mouth to self soothe.

u/puppersandmeow · 3 pointsr/February2018Bumpers

Our little one will wiggle herself awake if we don't swaddle her. We have a halo and swaddle me up Velcro swaddle. But the one we end up using almost every night is the love to dream zip up swaddle. Bonus it has hands up and she can still self soothe by numbing on her hands without escaping.

You've probably already tried something like this, but it helps my frequent sinus headaches: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E57CWA/
