I would suggest following the linked guide with a few changes / notes below : https://www.fiat500owners.com/threads/how-to-2012-fiat-500-double-din-radio-install.7412/

  1. The double din dash adapter seems a bit iffy from the Amazon reviews, YMMV: https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-FT4276B-Double-Select-Vehicles/dp/B00RL9L9F8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=FT4276B&qid=1573525758&sr=8-1
  2. Antenna Adapter on Amazon for ~10 bucks: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DWLTP6R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. For the headunit I'm assuming you'd want bluetooth and Android Auto / Apple Carplay? I would highly suggest the Kenwood DMX706S : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SMBMQ5Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  4. To use the head unit after install without actually splicing your parking brake and other cables, get the Kenwood bypass cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FY8P9QC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  5. To tie all this together, you'll need the wiring harness. I suggest idatamaestro:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E4W1644/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012F8RC1Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You will make an account and flash the firmware to the appropriate car make/year and head unit model.

I've only installed a basic 1 DIN stereo on my old 2013 500. I suggested the above head unit and wiring harness because I've installed that on my 2017 500 and had great results. Best of luck.

  1. One of these will let you stream bluetooth audio and whatnot. It basically receives your phone's bluetooth signal and then outputs it into your car's aux jack. Only issue is it populates both your usb and aux at the same time.
Proper folder structure and tagging of your mp3's should fix playing out of order... also make sure shuffle is off. I've always had my music start playing right where I left it

  2. If you don't use the back seats, consider a rear seat delete... gives you a ton more space and saves a bit on curbweight

  3. There are some weird aftermarket armrests scattered around the internet...

  4. .

  5. Everyone has the thin-ass-paint issue, a lot of people including myself have purchased a kit from Dr Color Chip with pretty good results (moreso than mopar's touchup paint). As far as the bumpers not matching the body, I've never heard of or seen that.

I've been using this one for a couple of years in my 2015 500e. It's a little annoying in that you have to turn it on every time (I have it stuck next to my gear selector to make it easy) but it works perfectly. It also does Bluetooth phone calls but since the radio handles that just fine I just set my phone to only pair to it for media streaming. What's nice is it'll also let you pause/resume and skip forward and back via the buttons on it so you don't even need to touch your phone once you've started streaming.

Not sure where you're located but you can easily find them at most big box retailers. (Walmart, Lowes, etc) but you can definitely find them on Amazon as well. Nor sure if links are allowed but if they are here is a link for you!

I got this guy

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GX71GNO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

Once in a while, it doesn't sync automatically and I have to manually sync it but works great most of the time.

Ending up having this one

Recommended on the fiat forums. Loving it.

I just use a cd-player-slot phone holder, since I don't use my CD player at all. You can still listen to CDs, but then you'll have to remove the phone holder anytime you need to remove/insert a CD.
This is one one them, but there are many others. Also, it keeps your phone at good eye level without looking towards the cup holder or without blocking your views out the windshield.

The 500s of that year can connect to bluetooth to make phone calls only. But there's a USB and aux port right next to each other in the glove box, so with something like this you can play music through the car stereo over bluetooth.

Ok, for LEDs you should go with double sided LEDs that matches the same location where the halogen bulb emits light not triple, quadruple, or other aftermarket LEDs with more than two light sources. You can check by counting the number of yellow squares on the LED bulb which contains the actual LED light source.

The best LEDs in my opinion is Hikari Megatron but they have a cheaper option here.

Keep in mind that these LEDs will have a fan that stick out further than the stock halogen bulb harness. If you want to go with another brand then just make sure it is the 9012 bulb size and has only two LEDs. Even for brake lights and turn signals you want the LEDs to match the same light source location as the stock halogen. If you get an LED with ridiculous amounts of LED light sources on it then it might not illuminate the area around you or blind other drivers.

There's some anti-fog products that you can get that should solve windows fogging up on the inside. I had that issue with my old car and it actually worked really well. This is what I used: https://www.amazon.com/RainX-BCAF21112-Anti-Fog-3-5-oz/dp/B0009H5W66/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1542216636&sr=8-7&keywords=anti+fog

I've also seen recently in stores that make it in a kinda wet-wipe version that looks easier to apply. I think there's also some homemade DIY versions that work too, but I've personally never tried any of those.

I don't think they offer the free maintenance plan anymore. The Abarth's changes are higher due to the basic oil used is Euro Spec Pennzoil Synthetic ( http://www.amazon.com/Pennzoil-550016718-6PK-Platinum-European-Formula/dp/B00B2IO8L6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377959823&sr=8-2&keywords=european+pennzoil+5w40 ).

These are the bulbs I bought. I don't have a picture of it on my car right now. I'll try to take one tonight and I'll post the link so anybody else interested can see too.

Would something like a bluetooth FM transmitter work? I use this model in my 2013 Abarth because I can't stream audio via bluetooth. Still can't use steering wheel controls with it though, but the 12v outlet isn't in too bad of a position, right next to my knee so I can manipulate it by feel.

I use one that sticks to the dashboard - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B019DCFE6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_FRSvDbCHPM0H1

I have had too many problems with vent mounted ones and the suction ones cover too much of the screen.
