I like these things called banana squares or banana brownies for traveling. They’re super small but all the nutrition of a full banana.

It is so sweet of you to try do this for her!

With the coconut and nut allergy you’re going to have to make the ice cream. You’ll need a small ice cream maker. I have this one and it works well for small batches.

Cuisinart ICE-21 1.5 Quart Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream Maker (White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003KYSLMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GDs4DbG40WRR3

You can make it out of any safe milk. Ripple milk is good, it’s made out of peas and it’s the closest to dairy milk. Just find instructions and substitute the safe milk for dairy milk.

It will probably take a few batches until you figure out one that tastes good.

After that, the candy shell. The recipes I have seen are all chocolate + coconut oil. You could try to substitute crisco, the organic vegan products like crisco, or even lard. Enjoy life makes allergy friendly dark chocolate chips you could use. I don’t know if any of these would work but you can try! If they don’t work you can always just have ice cream with chocolate sauce or chunks.

If you want a great book on allergy cooking check out this one.

Let us know how the ice cream (and hopefully Klondike bars) turns out!

You're a great friend.

Campfire marshmallows are safe. Fresh Market carries the regular and mini size. Walmart carries the giant version.

Whole Foods has a hot chocolate that is safe. It's their 365 house brand.

Would something like that work for you? Or an insulated running belt that you can hide under your clothes? Or you could look into auvi-q which is compact enough to fit in your pocket.

I don't know much about Japanese cooking, but this is a soy free soy sauce, but does contain coconut which isn't technically a nut. https://www.amazon.com/Coconut-Secret-Organic-Soy-Free-Seasoning/dp/B003XB5LMU

Also, I really like this site for desserts and snacks. http://petiteallergytreats.com/

I'm thinking of trying this:

https://smile.amazon.com/Cleure-Glycerin-Face-Body-Fragrance-Free/dp/B006H5YZC6/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1541977402&sr=8-3&keywords=cleure+soap

It contains some palm ingredients, but claims to be free from salicylates. It may help with some other sensitivities.

In addition to the safe candies already mentioned (skittles, sour patch kids, life saver gummies, starbursts), I gave out these mini gliders last year and the kids loved them.

This holds 2x benadryl and 2x zyrtec (my allergist's recommended dosage for stopping a reaction before i need the epipen) and fits on my keys just fine. It comes in larger sizes, too. 10/10 recommend this particular key chain pillbox.

10/10 would recommend a key chain pillbox if you're able to keep your keys on you all the time, and/or if you've got a slow-moving reaction like mine. My reaction usually takes 1h+ to get to the point where i need the epi tho, so ymmv. I goofed last week and took my rental car keys and not my regular keys, which were 20min away in my hotel room when i needed them.

The epi, i just stick in my pocket with my phone... Haven't needed an inhaler for years tho, sorry i can't help with that.

Start with an actual allergy friendly cookbook and learn this together. Try a list of things you CAN eat and focus on the abundance of choices you have instead of what is lacking. The change in mindset is liberating. Here is one to start with. It is by a cook that married into a food allergy family. There are a lot of online recipes available now too. I start all my food searches with "allergy friendly recipe" then the item.

There are several varieties of keychain pill fobs on Amazon, too. I prefer the rounded style ones like these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P91E4C but https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012DLILE are good, too.

Are you allergic to mustard seed or vinegar? If it's the vinegar then you can probably make your own. As a replacement, have you tried horseradish?

There's a book called the Allergy-Free Pantry by Colette Marten that covers a lot of "making your own basics." My wife loves the book and if I could find our copy I'd check to see if mustard is included.

http://www.amazon.com/Allergy-Free-Pantry-Staples-Snacks-Without/dp/1615192085/

From the Amazon description:

... The Allergy-Free Pantry—with over 100 recipes free of gluten and the top eight allergens (milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, and shellfish), for:

  • Condiments and salad dressings (Flaxseed Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Ranch Dressing, Barbeque Sauce)

  • Breakfast (Pancakes, Honey Blueberry Granola, Apple Oatmeal Scones)

  • Crackers and cookies (Flax Crackers, Pita Chips, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Snickerdoodles)

I 100% recommend checking out Birch Benders Paleo Pancake mix. They definitely have a different taste and texture from wheat pancakes, but they aren't terrible. Hopefully they're something that works for you.
