A GTX 1050 is a graphics card. I have found some laptops on Amazon that I would recommend:
This Acer Nitro has good specs for the money and isn't too thick but it does look quite gamer which can be a turn off. - https://www.amazon.ca/Acer-Gaming-Laptop-i5-7300HQ-Windows/dp/B071JLXGCW/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1521221922&sr=1-1&keywords=Acer+Nitro+5
This Asus looks like it might be slimmer and looks more normal but it has a slightly worse graphics card but has more storage. A 1tb SSHD instead of a faster but smaller 256gb SSD. https://www.amazon.ca/Asus-Powerful-i5-7300HQ-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B076H6X5SS/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1521221963&sr=1-1&keywords=ASUS+FX503VD
The MSI one is very pretty imo but only has the 2gb 1050 instead of the 2gb 1050 ti.
https://www.amazon.ca/MSI-GL62M-7RD-1407-Performance-SteelSeries/dp/B072QT88DG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1521221994&sr=1-1&keywords=MSI+GL62M+7RD-1407
This Asus one is very thin and looks sorta like a macbook. It has a 2gb GTX 1050 but it sure is beautiful.
https://www.amazon.ca/Asus-M580VD-EB54-VivoBook-Multimedia-i5-7300HQ/dp/B072C7TNBZ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1521222018&sr=1-1&keywords=ASUS+M580VD-EB54
This MSI one has the i7 instead of the i5 in most of them but doesn't look as good imo and only has the 2gb. It is also $100 more but the i7 is quite a lot better.
https://www.amazon.ca/MSI-GL62M-7RDX-1408-Performance-SteelSeries/dp/B071K1Q8TK/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1521222038&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=MSI+GL62M+7RDX-140
If you find a laptop that you think you like just reply to me with it and i'll check it out for you too see if it's worth the money. The main thing is too look at the specs and look at the build to see what you would prefer. These laptops will run almost anything that you would run on your Mac and if the software isn't avaliable which is very rare it would have alternatives. Windows usually is a lot better than MacOS.
You said about editing videos which the i7 would be better for but it wouldn't be a massive difference since they have the same GPU. The GTX 1050 would get over 100fps on Fortnite. They would all run Microsoft office and stuff like that. Hope this helps
Edit: Changed the links to the same laptops for Canada. They are more expensive due to the Canadian dollar not being as good but still a good deal.
I already covered the Windows license, the USB wifi dongles tend to drop connection intermitently, ethernet cable? yeah that's nice and all but not everyone is next to their router and consoles do not need to attach a dongle to be able to connect wirelessly, USB wifi dongles cost $20 anyway, if for 10 you can have a free USB port, I would take it, ethernet cables aren't free either, a 60 feet one goes for like $20 still, so again, the PCI wifi card sounds like a solid investment in that area.
The licenses do get deactivated, just because you have lucked out doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
So all things considered, if we took all your recommended savings it would be about $155 (-90 Win, -15 PCI card, -50 PSU), which would make it $385, that's $182 more than a New Xbox One S
Yes, a PC is better but a console to play esport games (like Fortnite or Overwatch or whatever) is cheaper than any PC capable of running those games in acceptable settings.
Lookup some videos on what you should look for in gaming pcs man. Honestly at such a low budget buying a console might be best. Idk if I can find a good prebuilt in that range but something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071ZZF7FY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1517812388&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=dell+gaming+tower&dpPl=1&dpID=41PlVF-rpiL&ref=plSrch is a bit overbudget but a good sweetspot for price to performance but I'm not an expert so I'm sure someone else could probably find better deals in terms of price to performance I can pretty much guarantee that an inspiron with onboard graphics won't do it though.
You could put a GTX 1650 in there. I want to warn you that you should monitor (if you can) to make sure you aren't getting close to your PSU power limit, but with the GPU drawing a Max of about 70ish watts and the CPU drawing about the same, you SHOULD be fine. Another thing is that your motherboard may not be able to give the card the power it needs (since it doesn't require any extra pcie power cables), but that shouldn't cause any problems. A 1650 draws the same or less power than a 1050ti, so it is the best choice because it is a faster card.
MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QR2YFTX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gjoMDbHKFQCM9
A single fan card will work best because of your limited space and limited power budget. Do research with no matter which card you get and make sure it doesn't have a pcie power cable required. The one I linked looks like it shouldn't have one. Let me know if you have any questions
I've got a HyperX Cloud 2 and I love it. Contextual sound can be a bit wonky in game, but most of the time it gives me enough information to know where enemies are.
Its normally $100, but its on sale now: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-HSCP-GM/dp/B00SAYCVTQ
Thats a great deal for a great headset. You can plug it right into the PS4's 3.5 mm jack.
The One S is the 'normal' Xbox One. Your only options are the 1S and the 1X. The 1S is the cheapest one, it's just the updated version of the launch day Xbox Ones.
I'm pretty sure you can get a new One S for like $200 USD.
Edit: $208 on Amazon for the All Digital edition
$230 for the normal one
Xim Apex is what you need to play kB/m https://www.amazon.com/XIM-Apex-Keyboard-Mouse-Adapter/dp/B079SS1CCR
And a good mouse like the g502
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spectrum-Shifting-Personalized-Programmable/dp/B019OB663A
You can map all your buttons and it’s not cheating . Fortnite supports keyboard Ken Xbox and ps4 just plug in a normal
Keyboard and see for your self . But you need the adapter to do it properly .
Not sure if this helps but this was posted in the description on Amazon:

It’s night and day trust me. As long as your PC can get above 120fps it’s amazing. The one I use is 1440p 144hz, I wouldn’t get this unless you have atleast a gtx 1070. Also what size do you want I use 24” just because my old monitor was a 24 so they’re the same size. One draw back is the colour quality is not as good with the TN panels that high refresh rate monitors use you can get IPS ones with better colours but they run you double the price
1440p one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01LT04C30/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523993597&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=1440p+144hz&dpPl=1&dpID=51Quhtt0Y9L&ref=plSrch
1080p one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00IG0Z0HY/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1523993692&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=1440p+144hz&dpPl=1&dpID=51H5FsSwM1L&ref=plSrch
BenQ ZOWIE RL2455 24 Inch Console e-Sports Gaming Monitor (Officially Licensed for PS4/PS4 Pro), 1 ms, Dark Grey https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01H07FVOK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9HCSCb9TTT36F - that is your best bet for a console monitor. Very cheap too.
To answer your question - 4K for singleplayer games, 1080p for FPS Games.
Don’t have it myself, but I heard that this one is really good.
It comes with a gtx 730, but if you want a little bit better you can get this
https://www.amazon.com/iBUYPOWER-Desktop-Geforce-7200RPM-N27W8260EX2/dp/B07BDQPWML/ref=sr_1_29?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1536563542&sr=1-29&keywords=gaming+pc. You can always upgrade later on, or you can build one. Considering you probably don't know much about computer these are decent choices for now
I have a E-Blue Mazer II 2500 DPI Wireless Gaming Mouse, it only has two things on the side to use for keybinds though. But it's 100% the best mouse I've ever had, I would buy it again.
https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Mazer-Wireless-Gaming-EMS601BKAA-NF/dp/B00DPC015E
(Heres link on amazon)
The top 1% of 2080 TIs, they can handle overclocking easily. It's only $2k bro
https://www.evga.com/articles/01319/kingpin-2080-ti/
https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Technology-Backplate-11G-P4-2589-KR/dp/B07RZ95J1B/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=kingpin+rtx+2080+ti&qid=1568281271&sr=8-3
Thank you. I'm going to buy a new graphics card this week because i'm noticing that Intel gpus are ment for gaming. Would this gpu run Fortnite?? https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Windforce-128-bit-Graphic-GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD/dp/B01M6Y671T/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=GTX+1050+Ti&qid=1569370908&sr=8-1
benq really good for gaming
Then this is also good. I used this one before my new monitor before I had the x.
Link: ASUS VG248QE 24" Full HD 1920x1080 144Hz 1ms HDMI Gaming Monitor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_J8x6Bb53XW8F8
> Edit: to clarify on the term "Gaming Monitor"
Yeah, I know. I'm using this one : https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00IG0Z0HY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But that's not where the problem should be at, I haven't changed anything in the settings.
Here is there official site I recommend buying from here or amazon
https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us
https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-Mobile/dp/B00SAYCVTQ
This thing . It allows you to use a keyboard and mouse on a console. It doesn’t allow you to use all of the keys because you essentially have keybinds for controller buttons. E could be your x, 3 could be y, 4 could be a bumper, etc.
Don’t know if automod will remove this if I put STW.
Also here’s the link to it on Amazon, you can preorder it and check the Features & details tab for the image.
this is the mouse I use on PC, and from what I've read works with fortnite on PS4. It's one of my favorite's on the market and I've used a few different ones. Amazon has it for $45
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Proteus-Spectrum-Tunable-Shifting/dp/B019OB663A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1519133822&sr=8-3&keywords=logitech+g502
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B07HFTGBZL/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=all JMS holdings is legit. Highly reccomend them. You're also protected by Amazon if anything goes wrong (lost package or invalid code)
