If you're into this sort of thing I highly recommend the book The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes It won the pulitzer when it came out and is the most fascinating history of any subject you'll ever read. It details the story of the a-bomb from the discovery of the atom up to the bombing of japan. It build such intensity and excitement as it goes that it's almost like experiencing a long, slow frisson trigger. Definitely worth the read.

In the concert version of Roger Waters "The Wall" tour he went on a few years ago he actually duets this video with himself. It's a pretty intense moment. It really is a fantastic movie, if you love Pink Floyd and want to know more about Water's movtivations behind his music I strongly suggest checking it out.

Finland they pay their teachers like rockstars, pulling the very best from the top of the classes at graduation: http://www.amazon.com/The-Smartest-Kids-World-They-ebook/dp/B0061NT61Y

We need to shift the attitude from the martyr teacher; and "those who can't: teach" to "Teacher, the best job in the world"

I read this in The Mind & the Brain. Great frisson accompanying a good book is always sexy.

I've only read the Alan Moore stuff. I would say start with this, and then pick up the other volumes if you enjoyed it. There are some fantastic story arcs in these comics.

Sorry I had to slightly crop the original title so it would fit in the character limit.

Christine actually won the whole competition. Her cookbook, Recipes from My Home Kitchen: Asian and American Comfort Food was published two days ago.

Dave Cullen's book Columbine is a fascinating read/analysis and goes into a litte more detail on this.

Basically Harris was the psychopath/leader and Klebold was the manic depressive/follower, not that that excuses his actions.

It takes guts to speak up as she has. Harris' parents have never spoken publicly about Columbine.

It was a very good game. But it over-promised, under-delivered, and didn't end satisfactorily.

If this trailer is the only thing you've seen? You won't be disappointed in the game, except perhaps for a lack of emotional impetus.

It's on sale for 22 bucks on Prime right now.

wow, two people in this whole comment thread who realize that comics don't just fall out of the sky.

It's from Common Grounds #4, published in May 2004. Written by Troy Hickman and drawn by Carlos Pacheco & Jesus Merino.

You can't buy it on Comixology (although they do have some of Troy Hickman's other work), but the collected book is still in print, ISBN 978-1582408415, available from Amazon and elsewhere.

It appears to be in a book of poetry and essays called [High Wire Darlings] (http://www.amazon.com/High-Darlings-Kalyn-RoseAnne-Livernois/dp/1495395057) by a woman named Kalyn RoseAnne Livernois.

And this is her tumblr with what may be the original post.
