I go this one from amazon last year and it is great. Leather is real and quality is pretty good (but i don't use it a lot so idk about long-term durability. it also seems like another company manufactures the exact same bag for a bit cheaper as well

The issue is that the plain toe is inherently less formal than the cap toe. Which means that not only would the cap toe work better with a tux (IMO), but that the other J&M offerings with plain toes tend to have open lacing, rather than closed. I was trying to look for a model on their site with closed lacing and a plain toe, but I couldn't find one.

Also, there's nothing wrong with having the Melton in both Bordeaux and Black. As far as I'm concerned, that is a perfect dress shoe duo. Black for more formal, and bordeaux/merlot or a brown for slightly less formal. And then maybe a brown wingtip like the J&M Conard or Tyndall or the AE Strand or McIntosh for business casual.

EDIT: E.g here is the tabor with a plain toe, but it is blucher/derby instead of formal oxford because it has open lacing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NWFXNNG/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_6?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-9&pf_rd_r=E6WSMKXDV7P0ZAW65GET&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1865577462&pf_rd_i=2594444011

I have the Wahl Peanut. Really great beard trimmer. I can't see myself switching to anything else.

I got mine as a gift from my aunt who is a hair dresser, and she got it from a beauty supply store. Which one, I don't know, and they probably don't have a website. But check out any local beauty supply shops around you. Even ask a barber or hairdresser where you might find one.

All else fails, Amazon sells it. But it's a little overpriced through there.

Short answer: yes.

Ruthless as it is, I've tried stuff on in stores and then bought it on Amazon for cheaper—I've got some boots on the way now. I've also gotten a couple of staple watches for pretty good prices, but all of this is related to the fact that I have prime. Sometimes it's a weird system, as in the case of those boots, but if you're willing to learn how to work with it you can find pretty good stuff.

I got it on amazon for $599 two years ago, the price is a little higher now

The movement is a little loud but it’s a great piece and I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on its style.

Honestly I have found amazon to be perfect. I have picked up some nice watches for a good price.

Out of the price range you stated but a personal favorite of mine - https://www.amazon.ca/Junkers-Bauhaus-6070-5-Vintage-style/dp/B006DDHQOQ/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_241_lp_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=793TDRWT8JPC943BSF0S

If you want a great "bang for your buck" watch, take a look at a Seiko 5. More specifically the SNK80 series. They are sub-$100. Automatic / Kinetic, so don't have to worry about batteries.

Plenty of colours as well, black, green, blue and beige. I would recommend swapping the fabric band for a NATO strap. Pick up a few different ones, dressy and casual.

I bought a black one a few months ago, and I wear it the most. Over some of more expensive ones including Citizen Eco-Drive, Michael Kors, Orient, and Hamilton.

Still a little puffy but I love Woolrich

If you don't care about money, the John Rich & Bros version

there's no slim gloves that will keep you truly warm. There's no air to heat up and keep you warm, and your fingers don't generate enough heat by themselves, so a slim glove won't really be able to insulate very well.

when I was a bike messenger, I'd switch between mits and neoprene gloves (ie for fishing or for underwater work). Those worked pretty good but actually made my fingers sweaty. I got mine from mec but these ones on amazon look good: https://www.amazon.ca/West-Chester-96650-Synthetic-Waterproof/dp/B002ZPGW32/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1537046691&sr=8-2&keywords=neoprene+gloves+winter

As I said earlier, I am currently wearing Kirkland brand merino wool socks. But if you don't want to buy kirkland, stick with merino wool. I have bought everything from natural materials to synthetic multi part sock systems, and merino wool socks have been the best for days of ruck marching in all sorts of weather. A pair like this is under 9 bucks a pair on amazon.

For actual warmth best to go with glove liners, or fine gloves, with Mittens over top. Fingers don't have enough circulation to keep you actually warm in gloves. Combining two like the below should be close to as good as you could get for your price range

https://www.amazon.com/Terramar-S491-Thermasilk-Glove-Liner/dp/B002NPBTWS

https://www.thelasthunt.com/products/armada-carmel-windstopper-mitt-mens-llll-arm-r00119

For good quality gloves you go for Hestra, but you will be dissapointed if you are looking for real heat, you need to do the above.

Assuming this is for those Churchs you bought - I'd straight up recommend Saphir Medaille D'or Renovateur. The cheapest vendor I could find was in QC

The alternative is the non medaille d'or line Amazon.

Here's another basic conditioner from Loding

Pure mink oil is complete overkill on dress shoes or thin leather. Good for thicker leather boots/jackets b/c it can make the products more weather resistant + matches the colour tones of the generally darker products.

However, in the end they are just white sneakers so the only things you really need are a cleaning brush (old toothbrush will work), conditioners and maybe some shoe trees. I recommend the J&M's

[Jiffy Steamer](ESTEAM Personal Hand Held Steamer, 120 Volt https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0018ZHHS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_3pe5Bb11TY5A6)

I’ve used it for clothes and for some tapestries and it’s worked great!

I picked up a super amazing bag from YoungLA. It is vegan leather if that changes anything, but it looks and feels just like any regular leather. Check it out https://www.amazon.com/YoungLA-Leather-Backpack-Canvas-School/dp/B078RT47LH

Hey man I have 2 pairs of leggings. One of them is a columbia brand which I paid 80$~ish for, and another one that I bought from amazon for 20ish. I would definitely recommend the amazon one as I barely notice any difference.

https://www.amazon.ca/Baleaf-Running-Fitness-Workout-Compression/dp/B01AZ3KIGM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1491879530&sr=8-3&keywords=men+baleaf

I bought the "Cognac" version of these from little Burgundy a few weeks back for the same price. The actual colour was the Tan Renegade that you can see on the Amazon page: https://www.amazon.ca/Original-Chippewa-Collection-Service-Utility/dp/B00FLO6KUE

I believe this Bordeaux colour is the same as the Cordovan colour. Little Burgundy seems to like changing the name and colour names of shoes on their website. Free shipping.

There's the amazon brand boots.

Can't say how the boots are but the boat shoes are fantastic!

u/tPRoC · 2 pointsr/FrugalMaleFashionCDN

sizing note: The insole for their shoes with a wedge sole is for some reason different. They fit tighter. I can't wear thick wool socks with them. Despite this I find them more comfortable.

Merkur safety razor and these blades (Feather is another good brand of blades, more expensive though).

Bought the combo about 3 years ago, haven't even used half the blades yet. Massive savings.
