Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector Glass (Full Screen Coverage), amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - Dot Matrix, Case Friendly, 3D Curved with Easy Installation Tray - 2018 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXLSTJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_x.FXBbH65FNRZ

I have this one. It was crazy easy to install and not bad for 12 bucks. It's definitely as low and as I would personally go, but good enough that I'm not looking for a new one anytime soon.

Attracts fingerprint smudges like crazy, but they wipe off instantly just on my t-shirt, so no big deal. I'm definitely not a fan of the dot Matrix, but this is the first time I've had a screen protector on in 2 years, so I don't know how common that is, might just be the way things are. It covers the entirety of the screen but not the entirety of the front of the phone. That's actually good for me because I've had three different cases and they've all been fine. I did turn up the touch sensitivity after putting it on and it's been flawless as far as that goes. If you're looking for something a little cheaper, even if it is just while you take your time and investigate other protectors or wait to see if something else comes out, this one is pretty good bang for your buck.

GF and I both got Note 9's around September; both using WS Dome glass

She likes more protection and is using the Pelican Adventurer

https://www.amazon.com/Pelican-Adventurer-Samsung-Galaxy-Note9/dp/B07GM4BGYQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1541602365&sr=8-4&keywords=pelican+note+9+case

I am actually about to post a video reviewing cases for the Note 9. I basically buy every single case on Amazon and test them. For the Note 8, I like the Supcase Beetle with the hard plastic sides. It was awesome. I dropped my phone a bunch last year and it is fine.

The reason I liked it was that it had raised corners so that if you set the phone down flat the screen is raised a good bit above the ground. It also had sides that came up even with the screen. You could still use the edge, but it was tall enough that nothing was sneaking in to hit the edge on most drops.

This year, SUPCASE made a great case in the Beetle, but it was not my favorite becuase they only made the version with rubber and the rubber is super slippery.

I hated the Ringke Fusion last year, but this year it crushed it. And it's $9.99. It feels great in the hand and raises the edges as high as any case but the SUPCASE. GhostTek was decent too.

https://smile.amazon.com/Ringke-Compatible-Anti-Cling-Lightweight-Transparent/dp/B07FS6P66V/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1536785714&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=ringke+fusion+note+9&psc=1

Basically though, Verizon is a ripoff. 25% off of a case at Verizon is probably still 35-45% too high. Every accessory at Verizon is priced ridiculously and Verizon makes their money there like movie theaters make money on suckers buying concessions. Further Otterbox kind of became the Apple of smartphone cases. They were great in 2012, but have steadily raised prices, lowered quality and lost their cache, but can still charge a premium to people who are used to buying them from that 2012 cache.

In my opinion if you are paying over $20 for a case you are doing it wrong. Only one MAYBE might be the RhinoShield, but I didn't get to test that one because it's not out yet.

Hell, this was my third favorite case: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FYDX6RT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I swear by this installed correctly it's a firm fit that's not going to peel on edges. Has adhesive but doesn't set up completely until overnight.
I didn't align the camera holes so I had to gently peel up and adjust. No problems. I ended up dropping my phone and they replaced it quickly. Lifetime warranty is the bonus. Nice smooth touch and I haven't seen any screen rainbow or anything at all.
Not trying to sound overly excited but this honestly has impressed me especially for the price. Even comes with an installation frame for someone who needs a little help aligning.

I prefer the svelte feel of a naked phone. I came from a Moto Z Droid, which had no cases that would allow for the use of Moto Mods and am decently competent with treating expensive electronics with care.

That said, I went for about two weeks with a naked Note9. I caved and bought the [Insignia case](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-soft-shell-case-for-samsung-galaxy-note9-black-matte/6267401.p?skuId=6267401) in black at Best Buy. I work on a drilling rig and this phone is just too slick and a tad large in the hand for me to feel completely comfortable without something on it. I doubt that this case offers much drop protection, but it is certainly grippier than the phone was naked. Most importantly, it isn't bulky.

I think I will be buying the [MNML case](https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-MNML-Case-Frosted/dp/B07G6N5FVJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1536509101&sr=8-1&keywords=mnml+note+9) to compare against. It looks like a good compromise between case and no case.

u/Permabad · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

If you have seen my comments in other threads, I have had a nightmare of a time trying to find tempered glass that has proper adhesive. The ones I have found are prone to splintering upon first blemish. Which, I'm glad they protected my screen, but 6 in two months is excessive. I have done my best to follow the recommendations posted here, so I'm not buying randomly. Here is what I think I'm going to try next:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07DNPK8V9/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A1KED7QPKDBUQ7&psc=1

And then this is the best adhesive I've found on a less expensive protector, but as I said, a nick turned into the protector cracking in half within an hour:

You can get them from Amazon, but beware ! The originals come with a nice leather pouch. I went for the red ones, because obviously these aren't faked (sound as good as the original ones). https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Earphones-Corded-replacement-Burgundy/dp/B072BZ4GSD

Don't buy the black ones. Obviously faked.

I can understand you. They are very good.

u/mrniel007 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I'm using this, may be a little too expensive when compared with a single screen protector but Spigen is a very high quality brand and I love their cases for Galaxy devices.

My old S7 used to have a Spigen case combined with a shatterproof (actually plastic) screen protector and it did actually protect the phone pretty well but it starts to look nasty over time, so this solution from Spigen may be your answer, it definitely was for me with my Note9.

u/fbloise · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I'm a strong advocate for DeX sort of setups. I honestly the future will be like this. Microsoft started with Continuum, which I enjoyed with Lumias 950 back then. But DeX is another level.

You can do so much with it really. I even tried playing games with a small bluetooth controller, all works superb.

My setup is a Dex station at work, connected to a HP 24" monitor.

I am using a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and this adapter:
This is the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Samsung-Station-Experience-Nintendo/dp/B078W4RXGR/

Note: Ensure you have the fast charging ac adaptor or any high power charger really, otherwise it won't work.

For the road & travel,

I got myself a HP X3 Lap Dock, sort of a dumb terminal you can plug your Note9 and use the screen and keyboard
LapDock -

if you're into wallet cases you can't go wrong with AMOVO's wallet case, it's detachable which is still really good as a standalone case, and the wallet is really nice too. I love it. It's easy to get the S Pen out and the magnets don't interfere at all. and the detachable case part works with wireless charging.

I've been using a Spigen case that came with a screen protector and it's worked awesome. I've had it on for a month and a half and it's still bubble free, best of all, it's made for the Spigen case.

Both work great without a lot of bulk. I also really enjoy the official Samsung cases specifically the Rugged protective cover. Nice to have a kick stand when you need it.

Here is the one I have. It's by Spigen and they've been excellent! This one is a bit thicker than I'm used to but it also offers more protection than what I normally purchase. Description says you can put two credit cards in the back but I've only used one. Based on the build quality and the excellent protection Spigen has offered in cases lighter weight than this one, I'd say this case will be durable and offer a significant protection. The camera cutout is really deep.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GZRB7YJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It protects just enough to where a typical fall will pop the protector off but keep your phone unharmed. I have not seen anything get inside the case when i do my weekly cleaning. The best part is most people don't realize I have a case on the phone, it is that thin!

u/DGhattas · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

This thing is great. Literally the easiest screen protector application I've ever done, even with this curved screen. And however they make it where there are no bubbles, it's great.

I use the Spigen Kuel A200 magnetic mount on my phone in the car. Like the Note7 and S7 Edge I had before my Note 9, this mount is capable of supporting the phone in my car through 99% of my driving with the exception of extreme bumps WITHOUT any additional magnetic material added to the case or phone. There is enough force from the magnets to the magnetic material already in the phone to support it. The mount does come with magnetic stickers (well, I guess ferrous stickers) to improve the magnetic force, but I find them unnecessary. Also these stickers interfere with wireless charging which I use a lot.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0109JIQ0W/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

edit - I didn't go through lots of mounts or anything so I can't say if other magnetic mounts work well enough. This one worked on the first try back with my Note7 so I never had to try any others. Also, I use very thin TPU cases which will play a role. My case is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FT86KVB/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I really like the AmFilm ones. They come with a guide so perfectly aligned installation is easy, they have a warranty so they will send you one free replacement when/if it breaks, and they are inexpensive. I have had them crack a few times, but I feel like it's still cheap insurance to protect the screen.

u/Meeko6983 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

I've used phones with and without screen protectors. I can say with confidence that if you do not use a screen protector you WILL get microscratches at the very least. Depends on how vigilant you are with making sure you don't drop it or letting it come in contact with surfaces or debris that can scratch it.

I've been using this screen protector since October 2018 and it has been excellent: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXLSTJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_aCd1CbQ7WDZCV

I've used DeX on my Asus Zenscreen Go (MB16AP) just fine. If you want to power the setup, you'll need something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078W4RXGR

That being said, the Asus screen is less than stellar. Kind of washed out, and doesn't get very bright.

I much prefer using DeX on my HP lapdock.

I have been using the midnight black one for the past 6 months with a dbrand wrap on the back of the phone and a Dome Glass protector. No issues, just a little slippery if anything, but it has saved my phone from my son dropping it when he's watching videos on YouTube. Price isn't bad either.

ArmorSuit Screen Protector

Bought this one last December. Still on my phone and still looks amazing. It's a film type screen protector so it's not as strong as tempered glass but definitely keeps scratches off. Fits almost any case since its it's only a fraction of a millimeter. Ive already switched out 3 cases and havent had a single problem. It comes with lubricant so once you spray the screen you can adjust the film while it's on the screen. And the lubricant easily allows you to squeeze out bubbles. The only problem I encountered was that the edges wouldn't stay down but I was able to get them down while the lubricant was drying.

Looks nearly invisible and creates 0 problems with touch sensitivity and S pen. I still have the second film it came with and I havent had to use it at all. 5/5 stars in my opinion.

i use these. although you have to change them fairly regularly. the curved edges of the screen tend to make the corners vulnerable to cracks. they are pretty cheap and ive had my note 9 for about 7 pr 8 months and im probably going to change it out for the 3rd time fairly soon. the cracks seem to develop at the very top and bottom of the screen.

they arent great but id rather have a cheap screen protector get scratched or cracked than my actual scree.

u/similar_observation · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I have the same issue near the home button. This screen protector is just about a month old.

Now, I've heard some folks claim that the protector is not glass. This is not the case. I've actually cut myself trying to remove an old cracked protector. I can confirm very much that it is glass and a laminate component to absorb damage like a car's front windshield.

I guess I can keep dumping $10 for replacements as long as they'll replace it. If not, I kept the jigs and can use Chinese knockoffs. I also have a decent UV lamp, which does a better job than the 30 second timer on the provided lamp. BTW, you can buy the components individually on ebay and aliexpress. So it doesn't math out correctly why this kit should cost $50-60 per set.

Lets do the math in retail prices:
