/u/Darrkman's (sorry ahead of time lol) recommendation is spot on. The Spigen case he recommends is definitely very nice looking and provides good protection. While it was not asked of you, I still will have to recommend
This gadget as well. 64GB model obviously. Super cheap, but feels like I paid a lot more.It snaps in place into your USB port securely so you don't have to worry about disconnects, and it is extremely portable.

I'll skip the often said and repeated great features you probably know of (e.g.camera). Multi-Window is an awesome feature. I love the chat-heads functionality that FB Messenger has, so being able to replicate it with other apps is a plus. The IR Blaster is an awesome feature. If you pair it with this app you'll find that you'll be hunting around your living/dining room a lot less for that one remote. Screen recording on the device is smooth as butter at 60FPS, 4K/1080p quality.

You'll hear a lot of complaints regarding software performance and it is a serious issue right now. That ultimately depends on the type of user you are though, and how you will use the S6. If you like to root and you opt in for the S6, hope you have an older firmware. If you do, cancel any OTA's, and look up the procedure. There is very little development for this phone. In some areas there is literally none. If you will not root, update ASAP, the performance will be greatly improved. When Android M is released for the S6 the supposed RAM and software issues will supposedly be fixed. I don't have the source for that statement though, so take it with a grain of salt. I could go on longer, but I don't want to write a college assignment sized amount of content here and I'm lazy as hell.

tl;dr: Get it if you love Samsung devices, and do not mind a possible caveat in RAM management. Do not get it if you like being able to fully customize your phone.

Caseology has a variety of cases that you might like. They are still on pre-order as of today so I can't tell you how they really fit. I've used caseology in the past and the cutouts and fit seem pretty well done.

I would recommend a standard TPU case if you want something simple or cases like this or this that are slightly thicker but offer more protection. Kind of the middle between an ultra thin snap on and an otterbox.

Snap on cases are thin and only offer scratch protection at best.

Caseology... however, doesn't seem to have cases for S6 edge, so if you are going to get an edge maybe something like this will work.

If you're like me and want protection but not wanting to lug around a brick, then check out these new dual layered cases that seem to be the trend nowadays.

I like to use the Spigen tough armor with a tempered glass screen. I've had it like this for about two years now and have not damaged it. Spigen has a good reputation and I definitely recommend. The cases are pretty sleek normally (unlike the oversized otterboxes) and feel great in the hands. Linked below.

First off, welcome to the family. This phone is freaking awesome with customization and how fast it is. Don't even get me started on the camera. Anyways, I bought this case and it has caused me no problems. It protects the phone pretty well, makes the phone less slippery, and it doesn't cover the edge what so ever. What's really nice is that the top and bottom of the case is lifted a little bit so when you put it face down the screen won't hit. I personally think it makes the edge contacts light up better when someone calls or texts you. http://www.amazon.com/Speck-Products-CandyShell-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00U2WHRNO Enjoy your phone!!

Yeah I've had a commuter on my past two phones. I like them, but they are a bit bulky. I also feel like they may have gone down in quality. My first one on the Droid Charge was rock solid and the plastic/rubber didn't peel away or crumble. The one I had more recently seemed like they lowered the quality of rubber or plastic they use because it didn't feel as nice at all. At least not nice enough to justify the cost.

What I'll probably do it get a nice one I like, and get something like this

Awesome, good to hear! I found a [metallized] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QU4NADY/ref=pd_aw_sbs_107_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=517QWm%2B7mOL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C100_&refRID=0SCA4GMYYZ40ZXF43M70) version of it that looks pretty sweet, I think I'll get one of the two. Is it easy to pop on and off?

u/abqnm666 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS6

Yeah your best bet would be a 3.5" hard drive enclosure with external power supply. Something like this. That's just the easiest one I could find, but they're available from places like Best Buy too, and countless other places online and off, as they're a common, inexpensive part.

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I have been using phone-specific docks for years, and this was the first foray into something else. I was not looking forward to it, but it turns out to be okay. My phone has never fallen off, and I have gotten pretty good at using it.

Here's close to what I bought (my exact one seems to be out of stock):

I actually just got mine fixed! I ordered this lense from Amazon: EShine® Back Rear Camera Glass Lens Cover Ring Replacement + Adhesive for Samsung Galaxy S6 G920 (ALL CARRIERS)+ EShine® Cloth (Gold) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YGHLLOW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_Q-Noxb5R6BCCG and this glue:New Replacement Battery Back Door Cover Adhesive Tape for Samsung Galaxy S6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z5O73CO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_QaOoxbMWHS0PZ
I went to my local phone repair shop and they did it for $25 in ten minutes.
You could also try doing it yourself but it's pretty hard getting the back of the phone off. Good luck!

I'm not sure what your looking for in this post, but it sounds like you just need another case. I've been pretty happy with this one for about $15

Not quite the same, but I have this one and it was pretty nice. The little kickstand is a nice touch for me since my phone is gold. It doesn't add much bulk either.

I cant say for the S6 but i just bought a replacement battery for a family members Galaxy Grand Prime off Amazon that was sold by Samsung

After a cursoury search it looks like this is an S6 Battery from Samsung but i'd just double check the details to be sure

don't get the one off Amazon sold by samsung! There's mixed reviews and it didn't work for me. So I bought this one after a friend recommended for me and it works great

Like someone else said, my s6 came with one too. I lost it so I had to get another one.

I've been going to the local amusement park a lot this season and I wanted to be able to watch movies while in line (they look great on the phone) without worrying about running out of juice so I picked up an Anker battery that can quick charge my phone 3 times. This one was slightly more but it came with a quick charge plug to charge the battery (or phone) with. I also bought an Anker quick charge v3 and v2 car charger. I've only had them for about a month but I've been very happy with them so far.

u/S-Aint · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS6

Yep, I bought one for the wife's van and liked it so much I decided to buy one for my car. We both have the S6. Her's with a case and mine naked and the wireless charger works perfectly on both phones!

I have an S6. I installed Package Disabler Pro and the battery easily lasts a day. Google Now is enabled with voice activation.

I use Swiftkey as a replacement and much prefer it over the default.

One other problem I had was that text messages were waking up the lockscreen. Then pressure from my pocket would start doing whatever to the phone. A pincode would have corrected it, but I decided to go to Textra instead.

Now that I have PDP on the phone, I really love it. I picked up this case for it.

u/MiddiePSU · 1 pointr/GalaxyS6

I have the EX.

The little lips on the back protect the camera when the phone is laying on a flat surface. In the past 6 months, I haven't had any issues with the phone collecting additional dust or anything around the edges.

It also works fine with my wireless charger.

u/drwuzer · 1 pointr/GalaxyS6

The plug. I picked up a couple of these, they work fantastic - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OVD3FEU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 The cables they come with are pretty crappy though, I use these monoprice cables - http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=9965&seq=1&format=2 I haven't found better cables than these.

u/_Mayhem_ · 1 pointr/GalaxyS6

I use the Alpatronix BX410 case, which has a built-in 3500mAh battery. $34 via Amazon.

I also have a shatterproof screen protector, but the case comes with a thin plastic one.
