Some non-meds things that have helped me a whole lot:
*making sure I get exercise of some sort at least a couple times a week (I try to move around after I eat too, even just a short walk)
I hope any of these things helps. I also work with my gastro doc and my primary and use medical cannabis, but ultimately for me the biggest improvements have come with the lifestyle adjustments above. I wish you the best of luck!
I didn't have motion sickness until I got gp. It's hard to find Ginger ale in airports but they'll have it on the plane. I use Ginger Rescue mango chewable tabs, they taste good and it settles nausea pretty quickly. I usually take one of those then take a phenergan, and that lasts for a few hours, long enough to get to your layover/destination.

No doctor did. They all give up so easily. Sadly, you have to be your own doctor. I had a lot of problems, gastroparesis being just one of them, and I couldn't get any doctor to take interest in them. I couldn't figure out what was causing them so I started making rounds between all the specialties, pursuing any abnormality I could find. Along the way, a neurology fellow mentioned that my serum bicarb was elevated and said I could have sleep apnea. I pleaded with my primary care physician, got the study, and sure enough it was positive - very positive.
Later I figured out what the connection was. No studies here to my knowledge, though Dr Park describes the connection between sleep apnea and GERD in his book Sleep, Interrupted, a great read. I can trace pretty much everything back to sleep apnea now and that can be traced back to untreated allergies growing up (my turbinates are still huge).
I just wanted to share this brand I use, as I prefer them over the standard blue ones from the hospital. I use these ones because they are a lot thinner and fit better in a purse! They also have a 2 drawstring mechanism to tie it shut and avoid messes. The best part is there’s like an absorbent pad inside the bag that turns all liquids into a gel so that it does not smell. Super great if you are wanting to be a little more discreet!!

You're very welcome! For symptoms I've also used tramadol for pain and Zofran for nausea, though insurance is picky about how much you get per month. Bentyl is also used for pain due to spasm. Research has also show accupuncture helps about 80% of people with some level of symptom relief. I also take peppermint oil capsules 3x daily to help and I really like it. This is what I take: http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Pepogest-Peppermint-softgels/dp/B00016AHRY/ref=sr_1_3?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1419522255&sr=1-3&keywords=peppermint+oil+capsules

Also I recommend reading the book "Living Well with Gastroparesis" by Crystal Saltrelli. It's got a lot of good information.
I was diagnosed with Gastroparis with a CT scan. My GI said we could do the emptying test if I want but mine was super clear on the CT scan along with my symptoms. I had good amount of food just fermenting in my stomach and my colon was completely full from beginning to end. I got a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Everything came back fine other than my stomach looking a bit inflamed.
Right now I’m on the low fodmap elimination phase. I’m working with a dietitian. I was instructed to eat 6 small meals. Never eating a “normal size portion”. That helps with gastroparis and Gerd. It’s super hard because I’m starving and just want to eat. But I always regret it so I’ve learned. I have also gotten a SIBO test and currently waiting on results. I also have been instructed to keep a journal. I really like this one and it’s cheap

Do you binge eat? Do you eat the standard American diet (high sugar, fast food, packaged food)? As I call it Frankinfoods. Do you smoke pot? Have you been chronically stressed (before this happened)? How is your poop (regular, consitpated, diarrhea)? Do you go regularly?
I got this Ninja Professional blender from amazon and it is amazing! None of my purées are ever chunky.
And it’s $45 for prime day!

These are my favorite ginger candies :)
I really have been leaning on Naked juice recently. Specifically the high protein ones. If you have no appetite, it's really important to keep up your protein intake so that you don't start losing muscle mass.
Also, I use Gold Standard Whey when I need a quick meal on the go. Calorie-dense and a lot of protein in a small serving that my stomach can handle. Hope these help.
If you haven't already, check out the gastroparesis cookbook. It's available on Amazon and has quite a few recipe ideas that are low fat and low fiber.

Shout out to GoGo Squeez Applesauce, as it has been a lifesaver for me for years! I get some "Isn't that for toddlers?" from friends and family, but I really couldn't get by without it. GoGo Squeez on Amazon
Maybe try papaya enzymes. They help me sometimes when I'm feeling very full. https://www.amazon.com/American-Health-Original-Chewable-Tablets/dp/B0014291SA
