I play the game almost daily, I think it's fun. The movement mechanics and weapons have a satisfying learning curve.

Competitive warmup is your go-to if you're on PC and want to play with a party greater than you and one other member. You can queue 5 people. We're getting ranked crossplay in the coming months.

>Is the Season Pass necessary?

Unless you host private matches and want to play on a dedicated server or solo queue developer playlist, no. The season pass is terrible value. If you want to play dev list (play new maps early with 2x XP and 20% cr boost) then I reccomend you find someone who has the season pass to host the lobby. You can queue up and play the new maps without having to own the $50 paperweight.

The game should be free to play with a $40-50 season pass that provides extra XP and CR payouts. As it stands, the season pass is basically a ripoff. If you're playing a 10man private match, find someone with season pass and have them host to select maps that are outside of the defaults.

$80 is highway fucking robbery for this game. The cost/benefit model in comparison to other games on PC. $30 is a good maximum to buy this game.

Servers run at 60/30 tick, meaning your client sends 60 updates/sec and server sends 30 updates/sec, which is baffling to me. If you play CS GO and know that 64 tick is fucking awful in comparison to 128tick, you're in for a good time on this 60/30 cheapo bullshit.

The art of Gears 4

It's full of cool concept art and it just shows you they have plenty of ideas to work with but choose to do reskins instead. I wish they'd do different stages of armor just like they did with the Lucha Oscar. Like an IMAGO with three stages of his chitin developing would be amazing.

Acutally, BestBuy.ca is now taking preorders for Gears 3 -- I placed one the other day. Free shipping too. I'm actually planning on returning the unopened copy back to the store once I've redeemed the code (that presumably they email to me).

Walmart Canada is taking preorders as well, just not on the website. You have to do it in person. When I contacted them, they didn't say anything about pre-order bonuses, but I'm assuming it will be the Savage Grenadier Elite... at least, I hope so, he looks so bad ass.

Lastly, Amazon.ca does not accept pre-orders; but Amazon.com does, and they ship to Canada. I placed an order with them as well, and they charged me 8 bucks shipping and another 8 for some export/import fee. Whatever...

And of course, EB Games/Gamestop has always allowed pre-orders. They're the only ones with their their act together from the get go.

But that's a little steep for something that should work as is with the equipment you have. I really hope they fix this audio issue soon as I can't play with friends on PC otherwise.

I would make sure you don't have the Stereo Mix under recording devices enabled, as that could be causing an echo as well.

I would love the Elite, but really just can't afford it. I'm considering buying the strike pack controller modifier- Has anyone tried one of these? I would love to hear some input on it

Have you read all of the reviews on amazon? Is the 90 day warranty true? $150 is a little steep when you consider that the Xbox 1 is selling for under 200 used with a controller. I'd guess the price drops later this year, and definitely next.

It's served me pretty well since July 2014. You'll have some people who swear against Seagate, but the reality is that all hard drives will fail eventually. WD is a good make too, it's hard to go wrong. I believe I paid about $115 Canadian for mine, was on sale.

I've had it for years without fail. It's best to pony up the extra cash because 1 tb is about 80 bucks anyways. So worth the peace if mind.

Thanks for these. I’ve watched them and while I don’t have addictive tendencies, I still bought a few Operation Pack stacks and that x10 Horde skill packs to help get my Horde cards both unlocked leveled up.

It’s true, you don’t quite remember how bad it hurts when you get a box completely full of trash, but fondly remember when you get something really nice.

I do like the G5 skill card unlocks per level, as I’m still salty over it taking over a year to get “that” card for me in G4. I’m not a huge fan over how many dupes I have that are worthless at level 5 now but what that has done is got me to solo Horde at higher difficulties and at least get past a boss wave and quit around wave 15 or so.

I would assume they would. I have had two elite controllers where the left bumper broke and would not work. I eventually replaced the bumpers from an amazon kit that wasn't available when my first controller broke. It was pretty straightforward to replace.
