Yeah, we definitely encountered the astaxanthin problem. Source I'm using currently is this one which seems good, though it's not powdered so isn't the one we'll eventually use. Hope that helps.
Good quality MCT oil should be tasteless. I use this from Amazon and find it fine, although I guess everyone has different tastes!
