Here is the recipe for Season 3 Episode 1 (Great British Baking Show : The Beginnings Episode 1 in netflix)

https://www.bbc.com/food/recipes/rum_babas_served_with_48561

You need four baba tins (savarin moulds) or small dariole moulds. They look like these. What I have is these, so I would be using these large donuts tray. Also other noteworthy ingredients

  • sachet fast action yeast
  • dark rum
  • vanilla pod (If you wish to stay true to the ingredients listing. I think I will end up using vanilla essence though)

Other ingredients are easily available, so not writing all ingredients. Please follow the ingredients and recipe as per the link.

We will post pics by next weekend: 13th/14th of April. It just so happens to be my birthday on 14th :-)

I'm pretty obsessed with these baking books:

Bake from Scratch: Artisan Recipes for the Home Baker https://www.amazon.com/dp/1940772362/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_mm6MDbE0P3WBD

Amazon has all of them but I bought mine for a better price at Costco.
