I have this one: GD Iron Grip Adjustable Hand Gripper, EXT 90 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IRWR82Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9X4LybS6JDEFF

As you said, it's pricy at £70 but it is essentially 6 grippers, from 25kg to 90kg, and the build quality is superb. The handles extend which decreases the resistance so it'll be easier to transition between levels. Also if you manage to close it all the way at 90kg they send you a custom engraved one apparently lol.

Here are the Grippers and pony clamp I plan to purchase:

It's going to be pretty general unless I know what kind of instrument you play. However, I find that the gripmasters help a lot with individual finger strength. An exercise i would do for this would be 30 reps, then hold for 30 seconds, repeat.

If you want overall hand strength, false grip farmer walks, or anything false grip really.

This is cool and that it's adjustable is great.

I just use a 4LB Hammer that's not used for work just for grip training (so it's not dirty and fucked up).

Would love if the handle was round and wide like your set up. Otherwise, I like keeping this sucker around.

I would say some Fat Gripz, they are $40 on Amazon and if you have Prime you get free shipping. They are a good start for most people, pretty much you put them on dumbbells and the added thickness to hand handles make them much harder to hold when your working out, they are also small and light and easy to take with you if you go to a gym.

I would say the best pull up bar to use would be the one that extends and wedges itself between each side of the door frame like this. The one you're talking about would probably be fine because it spreads your weight across the architrave.

PS I'm glad to hear I've enlightened someone!

The 0.5 is probably a good warmup. Once you get it you can figure out how much more your grip can take. The key the first few weeks is learning the technique and exactly how to set it to get the most leverage out of your hands.

I have heard good reviews on this one:

I hope it is not too late to ask a question, I though of opening a seperate thread. I purchased an Everlast Hand and Finger Strengthener and it came with a fitness guide. I am unable to find an image of it online, but nevertheless I was curious as to whether it is a good piece of equipment to start off with. I may be able to get a picture of the fitness guide soon and upload it to show you.

Here is the link: Best Grip Strengthener and Adjustable Hand Exerciser | 55-154 lbs (25-70 kgs) | Bonus Workout Included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VIGEQXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Qtnzzb95PJJB6

I ended up jumping on the deal as it is $25 on sale

Have you had the chance to read up on the Theraband Flexbar? Years of climbing followed up with years of powerlifting coupled with inadequate extensor training left me with debilitating tendinitis in both forearms. I was referred to a PT and over an eight month period, I worked through a variety of exercises using the Flexbars, working up through the various resistances. As a result, I have been pain free for about two years now. I love them and would highly recommend giving them a go - I continue to use them as both a means of warm up and general rehab. They're crazy durable; all four of mine are in excellent condition after daily use over the past 24 months.

Working in a PT office, we used Powerwebs, which should fit your description and fit your hand.

We also used Digiflexes for the opposing movement.

Hope this helps!

I highly recommend this book from one of the masters of grip strength, John Brookfield

https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Masters-Manual-John-Brookfield/dp/0926888110

It contains a lot of DIY exercsies and just interesting feats to manage.

One of my personal favorites from the book was rebar twirling.

They're SUPER overpriced, they're just ordinary rubber bands. Get some #84 office supply bands. They do the same thing at like 1% of the cost per band. Want more resistance? Use more than one!

u/Scleropages · 3 pointsr/GripTraining

Get some 320 grit sandpaper and sand those babies down. Be conservative at first since you can't put skin back on after you take it off. Keep your hands moisturized with a hand care product like Working Hands.

I think I'm visualizing what you're saying. By revolving handle do you mean one of these row handles?

Basically using using the lat machine to create a sort of a grip machine. I like it. A lot of lat machines don't have two pulleys, but some cable stacks do or the cable pec decks, it would work on those too, right?

Do you have a picture of sketch of this setup because it did take a while for me to visualize this from the description.

I think cable machines are an underutilized source of resistance among gripsters and there's some creative uses like this yet to be discovered. Unfortunately I don't have one to mess around with but I think these could be really useful for wrist levering/pronation/supination exercises because of the even resistance (as opposed to sledgehammers that get hardest at the end roms).

Check out One Move Too Many. It is aimed at climbers but there is a lot of really useful information for treating issues with the muscles responsible for grip.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077YB3RLX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_3R4-AbRFRZR93

It looks like they implement a wrist strap of sorts for the wrists, was hoping maybe the fingers would have a similar effect

Well I decided to go with a Vatiz Adjustable Gripper price was a little better and the reviews seem to be good.
