These are cheap and work wonders. Highly recommend them. Makes the cymbals not as shrill and you can still distinguish the music. Big fan. Glad you had fun. Sorry you missed rotting out and knocked loose!
I've heard that this is pretty good. Order it and give them a receipt or something to let them know it's coming soon. Wrap the receipt in a massive box so they think they're getting something big.
Radio Silence by Nathan Nedorostek and Anthony Pappalardo
Pretty cool book that covers a lot of scenes/bands from different cities.
Check out the Full Metal Coloring book this artist did, it’s awesome! Full Metal Coloring Book https://www.amazon.com/dp/1533006733/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2MEXDb3ZNYWSZ

Keep them on your keychain or whatnot so you always have them. They work fantastic, unlike the crappy foam ones they stay fit in and just lowers the volume while not muffling anything. I have had the same pair for a couple of years now as long as you keep them clean they last quite awhile.
Take care of your ears! Once you fuck them up you generally don't get a second chance.
There's earplugs that are attached to strings. very similar to earbuds. Here's an example. Babypin that to your shirt and you're good to go.

The watch community swears by Polywatch to buff out scratches on plastic crystals. You oughta check it out.
Or do what I did to avoid it from the start and cut a piece of a phone screen protector the size of the flat part of the crystal and stick that on.
There's a short mention of in Blue-eyed Devil (http://www.amazon.com/Blue-eyed-Devil-Michael-Muhammad-Knight/dp/1570271798) of what happened to the non-Pete Wentzs after Vegan Reich and them being "kung-fu practicing, vegan, Shiahs" in a group called Taliyah al-Mahdi. Back in '07 they still had a message board up, and some of the content was public, they had basically cooked up/reverse engineered Islam into this highly abstract Abrahamic ethos, then from that core grew out more specific doctrines/beliefs and called it Ha-Shlam (this point is a little weaker, I don't know Hebrew, and it's been 7 years since I read it).
The crazy party, to me, is that all of those sites are gone. Gone gone. I couldn't find Google cached versions, wayback, nada. It's not common for the internet to forget.
Seriously? That new song isn't Across Five Aprils (at least not as I knew it) and it literally is not Steven Taylor. Brandon Mullins' scream is not to my liking, the song doesn't have near the complexity of the songs off of "A Tragedy in Progress", guitars riffs aren't great, it doesn't build, and it's so pop-like (and repetitive).
Steven Taylor went on to form a band named "A Tragedy in Progress" where he continues his awesomeness.
