Here are two of their comparable products that have a high capacity and lots of ports:

Have you tried plugging your phone/mp3 device into it and playing music?

Still searching for instructions, but here is a listing for it. Maybe you can message the seller and ask how it works.

It looks like a common complaint is that it does not come with instructions. The description paragraph has some very basic instructions toward the end:

> way cheaper in the long run. why would it lower cost in longrun?

Cheaper compared to buying batteries made for the GoPro or other camera. While there are external GoPro batteries for $30, get the same capacity you’d need like 6 of them. So it’s $180 instead of $60 and you have to carry way more gear.

> Anker PowerCore 26800 looks like theres many versions of this thing? whats link?

I have a few of this one.

> what's the 'wh' of this thing? how many hours extra does it give?
It’s the equivalent of roughly 20x the standard battery. Depending on what you’re doing and if you’re streaming, battery is used very differently by the GoPro, but it’s safe to assume you’re probably going to get a few days of shooting out of a 26,800 mah battery if you’re not running the camera around the clock. A single one of the Anker batteries will definitely do the trick for a few day trip. At 5 V, the battery produces 134 Wh (compared to the GoPro internal battery that produces just 6 Wh).

> lose about 15-20% of that capacity in charging losses so older action cams dont have very chargining overall? thats just cos its old tech yea?

The older cameras cannot run directly off of the USB port. When you plug in power to the USB port on them (the 10+ year old versions), it charges the battery instead of powering the camera. So if you are using power through the USB port, you have to have a battery in, and it runs it through the internal converter that charges the battery, which is only about 80% efficient. It’s still probably going to be better than swapping out batteries and carrying a big ass load of batteries with you, but the newer cameras are so much better in every way it’s worth 100 bucks or whatever to get one.
