Thanks for your interest! If you want to read anything else, here are some links.

My novel, The Devils That Haunt You, is available on Amazon.

Short Fiction:

"Biyanî" The Tishman Review - April 2017, p.112 This is probably the best I've ever written, and it has been nominated for the 2017 Best of the Net Anthology.

“The Walking Woman” Driftwood Press - Volume Four, Issue One, p.72 My first accepted story.

“Be Good for Goodness’ Sake” The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature.

I have another Christmas story coming up in December with Edify Fiction, and the Hemingway piece will be print only from Medusa's Laugh Press.

To shamelessly plug my professor in post grad, I recommend his book. Breaks down the novel line by line and is a pretty good read. Essentially TSAR, like a lot of Hemmingway's work, is how the trials and tribulations of man (Jake's lack of a penis, Romero getting beaten up by Cohen and the overall destruction of Europe following the war) can be overcome through personal discipline and upstanding behavior (courage, kindness) and by embracing God and old values (pay attention how many times Jake goes to church or prays, the overall religious ecstasy of the fiesta). Jake realizes he would never be happy with Brett even if he wasn't injured, and the sun also rises.

Two best Hemingway Bios IMHO:

Papa Hemingway: An absolutely intimate and honest account by a great writer who was actually there with him

Hemingway: A Life Without Consequences: A damn near day-by-day chronicling of his life

Ms. Dearborn's book might be excellent as well, but if you haven't read these yet, start with them. By the time you finish A Life Without Consequences, you'll be able to get the new book in paperback at a considerable discount.
