That certainly does sound interesting, for fiction. For a non-fiction account, I'd be more curious to read the following, which I probably will at some point:

I'm not sure how much of that is accurate but it should make for a fun read, and interesting to fact-check (if feasible).

I urge you to explore this aspect of your reality without getting too concerned over what exactly is going on, because it's really really easy to jump to conclusions and get stuck in a reality that may not be true.

Also, you should check out the work of Carl Jung, specifically his notion of synchronicities/meaningful coincidences. Jung also wrote an excellent book on UFOs as he was well known by the time the first UFO flaps of the late 40s/early 50s. It's called Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Sky.

And lastly I recently read Dean Radin's Real Magic which is pretty much the most up to date book covering the most recent scientific research into if our minds can effect reality.

Possible spoilers, but I'm pretty sure this was the exact plot of The Loch by Steve Alten.

I recently took a cross country flight and was reading "The Lost Continent Of Mu" by James Churchward. Fascinating book, but I was particularly struck by how he allowed his own bias into his descriptions of the perfect society of Mu.

There are many things he made clear he didn't know, but he was sure to (multiple times) let the reader know that among this great society of equals, the WHITE MEN were the rulers.

Read that a last sentence a few times. And now you know how 'history' works. He's discussing a society that generated the sum total of ancient art and mythology by interpreting dead languages from literal stone tablets... but he still couldn't imagine a society where men ruled as true equals.

There's an excellent book from an academic perspective dealing with the harmful bias in science against (the overwhelming number of) stories that don't fit the established narrative. I'm partway into it and highly recommend, it's called "The Flip" and features a ton of stories of scientists who have their entirely world views rattled (and are afraid of going public) after their own paranormal encounters.
