I use this book to find out which different variations are worth more. My collecting largely involves 1988-2010 items so this book covers most of it and you can see how the cars evolved across those years. I don't find any of the new models to be interesting, also I like finding ones that I played with as a kid as opposed to finding new stuff. But everyone has their own likes/dislikes and you should collect what you want to collect, not try to match what everyone else does. There are plenty of resources, also use the Wiki to search different things and try to find your niche on collecting. Best of luck!

About once a week I search Amazon for "Hot Wheels" and filter by price ($5-7 for Premium/Pop Culture/Retro Entertainment/id, and $12-15 for Team Transports) and by Prime. You have to look at the pictures, not the description. I've always gotten what was pictured unless it was a generic photo of the whole set. In that case, you don't know what you'll get. You have to take the time to look through the search results. That's just the way I do it. Somebody else may have a different method. I've had pretty good luck, the cards are usually in better shape than the ones I find at my local Walmarts, but sometimes they ship in a bubble envelope and those get pretty bent up.

Prime $12-15 Team Transports

Shouldnt present too much of an issue but be sure to prime first. That will really show off any issues.

You can also try and clean it out with a dental pick. $8.00 on amazon That could really get into the panel lines and clear it out.

This is the drill I use.

It's a monstrous 8V and it works perfectly, in fact I like that it's slow so I can control it better.

Sure! I just got it yesterday. I'll be posting pictures of it soon.

> Myself being a BIG Ferrari fan, I certainly agree.

Do you have Edward's ferrari book? I highly recommend it if you're a variation chaser. Link

You're really going to want rotary tool like a dremel. Power drills don't spin fast enough to make good use of the bits.

You can also use a pair of flush cutters to snip those off. You specifically want flush cutters, may be labled as flush side cutters, and not regular side cutters. They cut lower than the regular ones and fit into the space better.

The tool should be available at any craft store for <$15. Do not cut axles with the flush cutters as the metal is much harder than the base metal an can damage the tool.

The metal on the base is rather soft so these work fairly well. It take some finese to do it with out having to clean anything up though.

Thanks! I use some paint pens! GSI Creos Gundam Marker Basic Set (6 Markers) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009AFN0S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9qmsDbBKTQP2B

Those are the ones I use. Take some getting used to. So practice on some junk castings first 😆😂

I got it at target, they come in blind boxes! So awesome! The packaging is hard plastic, and the car comes out and rolls too! I think I’m gonna get the whole track set soon.

There's this stuff called Tamiya panel line accent color that's great for this. It naturally flows into casting lines. It's also less dark even in black and also pretty forgiving. If it goes wrong you can wipe it away.

The other option is the super fine Gundam markers. You can use them to draw in the lines but unlike the stuff above they're really unforgiving. If you go outside the lines you can't really correct it.

Hot Wheels made a Retro Entertainment version, which was a larger casting than the forthcoming mainline. Apparently "1:50 scale" though if you consider the Animated series Batmobile would be HUGE if it were real, probably closer to 1:64 than the mainline

Uhh, they did? Pretty sure I picked one up. It's at home, but I definitely own a Hotwheels bat mobile that looks like the one you're talking about. I could be wrong, though.

Edit: Like this one?
