Mindfulness in Plain English is, in my opinion, the best guide to mindfulness meditation available. It is very easy to read and straight forward. It is also is quite thorough and covers most everything you could possibly want to know. Also head over to /r/meditation which is a great resource in learning. Good luck!

Most will be created by
design graduates who will utilise Adobe suites... Illustrator and photoshop.

No reason why you can't use a less technical program for simple visual information.

All depends on what your end goals are. I personally like the homemade Microsoft paint style pieces as long a they show thought on how best to display the info that makes it easy for the reader to understand.

A decent book that is usable for non designers... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Infographics-Pictures-Communicate-Audiences-ebook/dp/B008CG2T30/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1410982607&sr=8-13&keywords=Infographics

It is and I barely understand it, this book does an amazing job of laying out the policies after WWII and how we've gone into nutty denial in maintaining trade deficits .... I HIGHLY reccomend it for anyone interested in this topic or global economics in general. Like I said I got a good healthy understanding of the background from this book but halfway In I got pretty lost, but Im not tremendously smrt ;) still highly reccomend it...

It would be nice if we could see the numbers a bit more clearly... And a lot of this should be obvious, since it costs a lot less to provide utilities and resources to 10 families living in one building than 10 families living in 10 buildings, all 1/4 mile apart. The problem in America is the actual cost of a home doesn't accurately portray how much it actually costs to live there, so people think their big home in the burbs is such a good deal compared to the comparitively tiny urban counterpart, and then they don't know why the suburban municipalities often don't have enough resources to construct improved utilities, public works projects, etc. I recommend reading The End of the Suburbs by Leigh Gallagher if this topic interests you.

Upon your recommendation of that piece of literature I decided to see what it was going to cost me to indulge. Turns out Amazon has a kindle edition for free (at least on the Australian portal) :D

I know what I'll be reading tonight!

I believe many of these graphics are from the Atlas of Middle Earth. It is a great book if you want to geek out on maps.

I believe the consensus answer is that the western US states are dry due to the rain shadow of all the mountains between the Pacific coast and the Rocky Mountains...

But you do have a point. The presence or absence of forests and woodlands do change regional climates. Woodlands, somewhat like large bodies of water do reduce temperature extremes. Read this book -- it tells the story of how the deforestation of New England between 1620 and 1820 MADE the stones rise to the surface (cleared land freezes, so stones rise from frost-heave, woodland soil doesn't usually freeze). No Europeans in New England: few stones, lots of trees. Europeans move to New England: clearcut all the trees, farm intensively, more and more stones appear at surface, 200 years later, farmers create 250,000 miles of stone walls in New England. Then the farmers packed up in the 1820's and move to points west (mostly towards the Ohio River Valley by riding the Erie Canal). Remaining Yankees get jobs in mills, or fishing or whaling...

Today New England is again full of trees (they do come back if allowed). But the all the stones and stone-walls make the whole region unsuitable for large-scale agriculture.

Um, Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie did not use that overdone version of the logo. Just look at the cover of the movie. http://www.amazon.com/Batman/dp/0790729652

If you think this is interesting, you should read [Thinking Fast and Slow] (https://www.amazon.com/Thinking-Fast-Slow-Daniel-Kahneman/dp/0374533555).

For more detail, see "From Altoids to Zima:The Surprising Stories Behind 125 Famous Brand Names". It's a funny read, and the author could use some book sales support, having lost 70% of the family income this month when Newsday killed his wife's science column after 27 years (see end of post). So buy a book, already.

This seems terribly inaccurate for some things. 6gbp for a GB of CD's? That's roughly $10 for less than 2 cd's...

Your website's PC

PS4+Star Wars Battlefront

Xbox One with Gears of War

>TOP 400 PC GAMING THAT ARE ACTUALLY INCOMPLETE AND COSTS 600$!!!

The GTX 950 alone is 200 bucks. Also you don't even have an OS, you don't have a monitor and your PSY is really shit tier. A shit PSU can break your other PC parts I would never suggest someone to get a Bronze level PSU. Oh and also you don't have peripherals but I'll let this one slide because you can get cheap ass keyboard and mouse for like 10$.

Stop the bullshit with cheap PCs, it does cost a decent ammount to get a PC but it's miles better than any console because you can do so much more than just gaming. I think you can get away with a 600$-ish build with OS and monitor and everything and play some modern games but saying it's cheaper than a console is utter bullshit.
