I use a product called WhiteFoam Clear Retainer Cleaner, basically its a foam you put in your tray after you brush your teeth/ trays. I have been using it for 4+ months now and I am seeing a difference. The best part is that it works under the attachments to whiten as well since it has hydrogen peroxide. In about a month I will be getting the first round of attachments off so I will see if there is any color contrast from where they were but I am optimistic.

Spry mints are frequently recommended on here and by dentists. Xylitol is good for your teeth: Spry Natural Peppermint Xylitol Mints - On-The-Go Oral Care Sugar Free Mints - 240 Count (2 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IN6RQVY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lBe0Db63H04FJ

I use silicone teethers. They can be washed more easily than chewies (top rack of the dishwasher if you want to be thorough) and come in a variety of shapes.

My favorite is this gray whale from Bumkins although I also like these ZoLi bunny ears. The latter is great when you really need to seat those back molars.

In addition to most of the tips already included in this thread, I often use the GUM Proxabrushes (amazon link below, but most likely available at any store that sells dental care products). They are like mini pipe-cleaners and I find them very helpful when trying to brush off build-up that forms in hard to reach spots on your trays. This doesnt prevent the trays from staining per se, but I have found that if there is any amount of plaque on your tray, the plaque will always take the color of the staining agent, making them appear to be more stained than they are.

This is the one I bought and it works great; There are many on Amazon like it. I use 1/2 tablet of denture cleaner (I use target brand) in the ultrasonic cleaner morning and night.

Yep, it works pretty well. :)

I got whitening gel syringes from my dentist. I usually use them right before switching to a new set of trays, but have found that they don't impact the aligners in any way. Just make sure to clean all the gel out of the trays. I just use a toothbrush with warm water and anitbacterial soap.

Heres the exact WaterPik that I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CU9VF2Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This one contains the pocket pik, it's the only attachment I use on it really. You can buy the pocket piks separately too:

https://www.amazon.com/Waterpik-Dental-Water-Pocket-Replacement/dp/B001NIZ5V2/ref=pd_sim_194_9?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001NIZ5V2&pd_rd_r=DAF5M4AETBY4W5V96HKD&pd_rd_w=JVU33&pd_rd_wg=09pZS&psc=1&refRID=DAF5M4AETBY4W5V96HKD

When you use it, only use 2-4 pressure on the water. Like I said, I like to put some mouthwash in the tank to help kill the bacteria down in the gumline.

As for it being similar to the AirFloss, it may be, I haven't used that device. But I'm pretty sure WaterPik has a patent on the pulsing water technology for flossing, so either way the WaterPik is arguably better.

I should also note that I use the WaterPik more than any device I own for dental health, mostly because I can literally feel it cleaning those areas where I previously had plague build up, especially in the areas on my bottom teeth that have extreme crowding that floss can't get into.

I wouldn't do it overnight every night, but I've used it every once in a while when my teeth were sensitive and I know others who use this after whitening with the trays. The tooth mousse recommended is also a good one as well, they use it on me after IPR in the office. Neither stain the trays:

I get mine from my ortho and they’re the actual Chewies brand. Those are my favorite but I’ve also used these and they’ve been fine:

I bought [something like this] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009W1RL2I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_UF7JAb6K0V3KX). It's a lot skinnier than a wooden/emery file, so I can file around the elastic hooks pretty easy.

Here it is on Amazon. Got mine this Prime Day and I love it. Never was a big flosser to begin with as I found it hard to shove my hands in my mouth so this is awesome. It's neat seeing particles and what not fall into the sink as it runs!

I got the Colgate ones at the start of my Invisalign for eating out/travel and they've been great (and cheap). Colgate Value Travel Toothbrush, Soft, (Colors might vary) (Pack of 6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003A4HSIA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kamKyb01CDR2G

Then again, I've also used the GUM ones that you don't like and found them to be alright, so YMMV.

To be honest mine is a no name unit most likely mass produced in China and rebranded 100 different ways.

It even has generic in the name! I bought it in 2010 and it’s been going strong ever since!

No, I actually bought it because it was the only sugar free and alcohol free mouth wash I could find but it's specificity targeted for people with dry mouth. Have you tried a dry mouth rinse before? Might it's worth a shot? You could check out the Amazon reviews for it https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/reviews/B003O93LNM/ref=cm_cr_dp_mb_show_all_btm?ie=UTF8

So my ortho actually complimented me yesterday on how clean my trays still were as I took them out in her office. I’ve just been using these cleaning tablets I bought on amazon: Retainer Shield antibacterial cleaning tablets and when I’m about to pop my trays back in, I squirt one pump each of this whitening/breath freshening foam in each tray: EverSmile Whitefoam. When I’m out and about I just use a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Oh, and don’t forget to brush your tongue!! My breath/trays smell HORRID if I forget to clean my tongue especially before going to sleep. I hope this helps!!

I got this one off amazon and works very well and it portable.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076D2H413?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I actually pretty much quit manually flossing now. Just use this 99% of the time
