PS2 version. It's really good and has high replayability. If you end up liking it on PS2, then you will probably end up buying the Vita re-release and appreciate the graphics and added content more. If you don't have any other games on your plate, I definitely recommend buying it and playing it now. I'ts $20 on Amazon.

If you just want the to play the game, you'd need two things: a copy of the game (of course) and a PS2 to play it on (Japanese import or chipped).

You can get the game from Play-Asia:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-43-49-en-70-1bmv.html

However YesAsia shows the game as "out of print", so if Play-Asia has trouble getting hold of a copy you can try Amazon Japan:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B000F9ZBXM

There are however a few problems with ordering games from Amazon Japan: first, the site is in Japanese. You can fix that by simply clicking the "Click here to see in English" link near the order button. Second, Amazon Japan doesn't ship games internationally. You can get around that by using a proxy service like Tenso: http://www.tenso.com/en/

Be aware though that the original game is obviously Japanese. To use the translation patch Masa45 posted you would need to make an ISO of the PS2 DVD and then run the patched ISO through an emulator or burn it back to DVD and play it on a chipped console. Well I presume you'd do it this way. I never tried this myself actually.

I experienced heavy strain with my New 3DS - that thing just isn't all that comfortable to hold. I bought a grip like this one and I haven't experienced and discomfort since. I highly recommend getting something like this if you play a lot on your 3DS.

Do you care about the graphics that much? A couple of things about the graphics annoyed me a bit on the PS2, but nothing killer. If you don't care, go for the original.

That said, $30 for FFX for the PS2 is grossly overpriced. It was released as a Greatest Hits release. Amazon has for $16.69 new. Used it hangs around in the $10 range.

The documentary, Art of the Game: Ukiyo-E Heroes is fantastic. Available for streaming through Amazon Prime (and probably other platforms). I have a print of the Star Fox one. :)

I also found that Star Ocean: The Last Hope for the 360 was on sale for $11.55, great deal. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LGFPSY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Well lets hope they have a Limited Edition like they did with the first one, even though it was a total fiasco that could have been avoided. If anyone doesn't know what I am talking about IF is publishing their games on their own and they stated that there will be 1000 unit of the limited edition and one per person on Amazon. They also stated that it would not go on sale till 12:00 PM western standard on release date which was the 26th. (For those on the east coast that is 3:00 am for us.) Anyways it sold out in less than 4 minuets after posting time on Amazon because well the one per person rule was not implemented. I personally got one and it is being shipped to my house still but re-sellers are selling their copies for upwards of $500. I Just hope that they fix this before they think about releasing another limited edition of theirs.

Here is the product page if anyone is interested or did not know about it.

like right now? I am in college, taking a class...i don't think it will be good for me to run out of the classroom right now. No matter how much i want to. But I will definitely look into it.

If PS2 is an option, I'd recommend trying out Mana Khemia. It's about 40-50 hours long, depending on how much of a completionist you are, and it's really fun.

I know it's not on PSN (sadly, it probably never will) although it is also for PSP.

Mana Khemia 1 on Amazon PS2

Mana Khemia 1 on Amazon PSP

Both are about 20$

This song isn't actually in an RPG, that I'm aware. It just sounds like something you all might enjoy. I can't find a youtube link.

Here's the Spotify URL link.

Just so you know they did end up making Composite cables for both PS2's and they are fairly cheap. So you can play your PS2 games with your HDTV if they have a composite cable slot. I have a huge ps2 collection so I will not be re buying all my games.

Off-topic sorry, but about your monitor choice.

I was planning into getting this one:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B078HWN5CX/?coliid=I25PAKSVSS6W30&colid=1AD3CL1Y5L7IH&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Wondering if worth extra 200 CAD in yours.
