Sort of- I found one site that sells ones like Im looking for but they are 775$ http://www.bjsoffroad.com/Katzkin-Seat-Covers-Kit-1983-1991-Fully-Customizable_p_943.html
I guess thats not the craziest price but its better than the 2000-2500 quote I got from multiple upholstery shops. I got some super cheap amazon seat covers in the mean time for 40 bucks
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PNEIYW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
they are defintely not that nice- but they look better than the super ripped leather and they were cheap. Im not trying to do some 75000 dollar resto I just want nice seats.
I literally just put this one on the jeep as there's only like 1 other place you put it without having to make a custom bracket.
The bracket actually works pretty well for the placement of the antenna. I really didn't want to drill into the cab, which you don't necessarily have to, but it does provide for much more stability. Just align the bracket up a few times and use a sharpie to mark the hole and you should be fine.
Keep in mind that you should have an antenna at least 1/3 of its length past the jeep roof to get a good reception. With this bracket a 4' tall antenna works great.
Get the spring as I have known multiple people that have ripped their antenna off, offroading.
Also the bracket does not have a stud to connect the antenna cable so you will need that as well.
This is everything I purchased that works great:

Can't afford one myself, but I have always wanted to try something like this: https://www.4wd.com/p/smittybilt-overlander-roof-top-tent-2783/_/R-DSBP-2783?ppcfon=1&gp=1&ef_id=CjwKCAjwgqbpBRAREiwAF046JVv5_Iz17jltMEIdfUUqVY6X_1fncSZmmoXzYp-VJrEf11DZnGxJ7hoCNxQQAvD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!7836!3!329483539653!!!g!626107908701!&s_kwcid=AL!{7836}!{3}!329483539653!!!g!626107908701!&ecmp=s:google&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping&emlprox=out&ppcfon=1&gp=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgqbpBRAREiwAF046JVv5_Iz17jltMEIdfUUqVY6X_1fncSZmmoXzYp-VJrEf11DZnGxJ7hoCNxQQAvD_BwE

I know that there are plenty of different ones like them and probably cheaper, but super cool concept.

Another cheap "modification" would to invest in a hammock: https://www.amazon.com/Camping-Hammock-Lightweight-Portable-Hammocks/dp/B078ML2RRX/ref=asc_df_B078ML2RRX/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241954553915&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17063929545985747477&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016243&hvtargid=pla-421385221163&psc=1

I have a similar one that sometimes I hang out in the parking lot from a post to one of the rear roll-bars and can take a quick snoozer on my break. Would probably be fun to use while camping.
Hey guys, this is my new 2013 jeep wrangler sport. Not sure what I am going to name him just yet. I got an awesome deal on it. It already came with so much stuff on it. This is my first jeep wrangler so not sure if the name for some of the parts will be correct.
2.5 in lift sitting on 35’s
Winch
Snorkel
Front bumper
Upgraded sub and amp
Back jack
Running boards
Here is a list of mods I want to put on in the near future:
-Smittybilt xrc textured fenders
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EOZH9S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
-Smitybilt xrc rear bumper (will my spare tire fit on this it’s a 35??)
https://www.amazon.com/Smittybilt-76855-Textured-Bumper-Receiver/dp/B003EOTTUG/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1543072620&sr=1-2&keywords=smittybilt+rear+bumper&refinements=p_89%3ASmittybilt
-Better headlights
-headlights and taillight guards
-winch cover (the one it came with is super faded)
-black grille inserts
-black hood clasps
All this is running me under 800 dollars
If anyone has any better recommendations for any of the parts listed that would be a huge help! Thanks everyone.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XRXTX32/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 These are them, about 10x brighter than the stock halogens. I haven't wired up the DRL's yet but the halos are on when the low beams are it looks really nice. Super easy to install as well, took me like 20 minutes to get em in. https://i.imgur.com/Ue4DlWe.jpg
What to buy in order
Absolute first thing to buy is a fire extinguisher from Amazon. You can get a mount for it, mount it somewhere you can quickly get it
2) winch
3) air compressor.
This is what I suggest
Smittybilt 2781 5.65 CFM Universal Air Compressor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004K25GMG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_NF0ADbPPPVFC2
I'm not a smittybilt kinda guy, but that one is good. ARB makes a good one for more money. When you offroad, air down to 15psi
4) tools
Buy this first
TEKTON 3/8-Inch Drive 6-Point Socket & Ratchet Set, Inch/Metric, 5/16-Inch - 3/4-Inch, 8 mm - 19 mm, 47-Piece (Case) | SKT15301 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P6RJXJ9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_3K0ADbPSAB4NG
That'll get most of your minor stuff fixed
Then, get a torx bit set. I have 2 sets from harbor freight.
Then, when budget allows, get this
TEKTON 1/2-Inch Drive 6-Point Socket & Ratchet Set, Inch/Metric, 3/8-Inch - 1-5/16-Inch, 10 mm - 32 mm, 84-Piece (Case) | SKT25302 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P7WLYFH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ML0ADb04NMYX3
Get a 36mm socket for the axle nut
All that, plus various other hand tools (torque wrench, repair manual, rtv adhesive) , and you'll be able to fix everything on your jeep. I keep all that stuff in my metal box in the rear of my wrangler at all times.
5) get some ammo cans and fill them with various spare parts such as U-joints or what not
6) bottle jack or high lift. I prefer a bottle jack
Torin Big Red Hydraulic Bottle Jack, 6 Ton Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CO86EG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TO0ADb8MSFCNM
And carry at least 2 jack stands with you at all times
7) if you don't have lockers, this is the part where you start saving up for lockers (and/or Dana 60 axles)
Edit : just seen you have a Rubicon, you can skip number 7 😎
I have these ones (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WM3WDXA/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and they're great.
Super bright and clear as day. Everyone that rides with me is always impressed.
http://imgur.com/GGM7nhh
Yeah, I have the Sunpie head lights and fogs. There have been some mixed reviews on them, but they have been really good so far over the last month, requires some splicing, and the high beams flicker a bit, but overall they've been great for the price.
SUNPIE LED Headlights Bulb with Halo Angel Eye Ring & DRL & Turn Signal Lights for Jeep Wrangler JK LJ CJ Hummer H1 H2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WM3WDXA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Seu6xb5FJ43ZW
It's not a long trail 3.4 miles but it is a lot of fun as you drive on the rocks and there is one optional part you can play around on that goes almost straight down that the Jeep tours scare people on. Easily the best 4x4 trail in AZ and a top 10 in the USA. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/arizona/broken-arrow-4x4-trail
Now that you have a 4x4 in AZ go get this book and it has broken arrow in it. https://smile.amazon.com/Guide-Arizona-Backroads-4-Wheel-Drive-Trails/dp/1934838195/ref=tmm_other_meta_binding_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1523235879&sr=8-5
If you have a GPS the traxs are nice to have to but not required.
U-drive 4pcs Black Steel Fender Flare Fit 2007-2016 Jeep JK Wrangler https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G1GRQBM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_vjOYGX8tr5i1t
I got these and they fit perfect and are the best priced ones I have found. The price is for all 4.
Definitely go with the 4 door, especially if you are car camping and towing as the longer wheel base of the 4 door is safer for towing.

The cost of the roof tent (nevermind the additional hit on gas mileage due to drag) is better spent on the JKU and one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MNBLY4
Push the passenger seat forward and fold the passenger side rear seat down with the headrest pushed all the way to the floor and leave your pad inflated in the back with a sleeping bag and pillow and enjoy a great sleep any time you need it on your way out West.

I've just driven across the country in my JKU and the convenience of simply climbing in the back whenever I got sleepy can't be overstated.
Yep! It works beautifully with all the stations and HD Radio here in flatland Texas. Here’s the link Rydonair Antenna Compatible with Jeep Wrangler JK JKU JL JLU Rubicon Sahara (2007-2019) | 13 inches Flexible Rubber Antenna Replacement | Designed for Optimized FM/AM Reception https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BDFQDVJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_8OB0Cb0BX8PHT
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B5WJHSI/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I went with these Truck-Lite and I love them, they do have their flaws like every other ones, but I love them.
D30 Front Axle? Here's a good start: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f282/front-axle-u-joint-removal-67699.html
They link to Stu's site, which shows you how to pull the axle shafts http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/d30/axle-1.htm and how to replace a ujoint http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/ujoint1/u-joint-1.htm
There's a great trick (with pic) for removing the hub/shafts: http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/problems-replacing-wheel-bearing-hub-28951/
Spicer 5-760x is more durable than the stock 5-297, under $24 shipped with amazon prime: http://www.amazon.com/Spicer-5-760X-U-Joint-Kit/dp/B009X1XDZG
Over on rockauto, search "DANA HOLDING CORP Part # 5760X Spicer" $21.89 plus shipping.
to compare, $29.99 on qtec: http://www.quadratec.com/products/52302_102.htm also to verify fit.
Short version: unbolt and pull the entire hub/shaft, press out old one, press in new one, put it back together.
Edit: Just remembered matt at bleepinjeep has done a few vids on ujoints: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aE9aNHFehqw
Very nice, looks just like the one I put on mine. Works like a champ for me, even out in the middle of the forest.
Yes, either this specific H13/9008 halogen bulb, which has good reviews from Jeep owners or this specific [complete headlamp replacement.] (https://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_8000.htm)
I would try the bulb first since it's cheaper and it puts out more light than stock. Just make sure your headlamp lens is clear. If not, you need to polish them, perhaps with a kit.
This is a great book I recommend that I’m using and gives you over 100 trails and gives you all the info on them and location and rates them from easy, med, and hard.
Guide to Arizona Backroads
Yea it's a handheld. Midland 75. Opted for his one because I didn't have to run power. Also I can take the unit off the cable in the jeep and plop on a battery pack and stubby antenna (all included) and use it outside the jeep if needed. But the install was straight forward for me. Put mounting hardware together, place between spare carrier and gate, run coax through gate along the rollcage under the glove box. Hook up the radio and plug into cigarette lighter. Pretty simple. Just takes time. Fishing the wire through the gate took the longest, but wasn't difficult. Followed this guide, but using different radio, so no need for power splice.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UTQUAK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (still waiting on this to arrive, but antenna works without it.
Also be aware that you should get the antenna tuned. You can buy the meter and do yourself or find someone with it. Locally cost me $20 and about 10min of my day.
Hope this helps you with your install.
Eh, some cheap ass chrome LED bulbs I got off Amazon for like 50 bucks. I just wrapped them with window tint because I kept getting bright lighted since they weren't aimed worth a shit.
I'd highly recommend these instead, DOT approved and everything:
2017 New design 5''x7'' 6''x7'' Rectangle Osram High Low Beam Led Headlights for Jeep Wrangler YJ Cherokee XJ H6054 H5054 H6054LL 69822 6052 6053 with Angel Eyes DRL (Black Pair) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XRXTX32/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_t9hTzb7V5CAHG
I have them in an unopened box because I barely drive my jeep at night anyways. But, they're plug and play, and ready for whenever my lazy ass decides to install them. Lol
You might be going through what I am now with my TJ. Good chance you have a front u-joint going.
Willing to bet steering feels a little stiff (more feedback than usual) despite proper levels in the power steering system and seems to ease up when straight.
Got myself a pair of these today via Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009X1XDZG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Heads up if you have Prime, order the "single" twice instead of the 2-pack. For whatever reason they'll allow two singles to ship for free but not as a two pack.
XRC (Smittybilt) flat fenders. Extremely easy install and they're well made metal fenders.
Here are the links.

I got these, they aren’t the best headlights out there but they’re a HUGE upgrade over my stock ones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XRXTX32/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_15HSBbF72H0C3
Most of what you'd see in that price range is no-name Chinese steel bumpers such as EAutoGrills(EAG), Restyling Factory, etc. There's a ton of them on Amazon or Ebay. I have no particular complaints about them; the welds aren't the cleanest but they're typically as beefy as you'd want and hit the functionality for value mark.
You mentioned no preference on style, but I think you should make the decision to either protect the fenders or leave the open wheel look. Narrow it down from there.
Note that a steel bumper will add 55-80 pounds forward of your wheels, and a steel cable winch another 80 pounds. All that weight will definitely cause the front end to sag. A couple of pucks from a leveling kit helps, but the real fix for that is upgraded springs. Keep those in mind if you're thinking about the total price of a steel bumper and winch.
It's a cheapie from Amazon, seems pretty sturdy tough and looks cool. Also the fog lights came out of the old bumper, they just bolt right into the back of this one.

Thanks for the great advice, I like the Firestik antenna in red but still not sure about where to mount it. I'm still running the stock back bumper with a Genright tire carrier (basket style) so I need to hit the forums to see where others have mounted theirs.
As for CB's what do you think of this one? I like that it can be portable if needed? http://www.amazon.com/Midland-75-822-Channel-CB-Way-Radio/dp/B00000K2YR/ref=pd_cp_e_0
They're angel eye lights that I honestly bought off of Amazon. I love them to death: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XRXTX32/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gifNAbN46TC7F

Looks pretty darn close to my E-Autogrilles 51-0357.
What model/year Jeep do you have? Do you want a “full size” CB or can you do something a little lighter?
I leave my doors off a lot, so I went with a plug n play setup that will allow me to pull it off or lock it up every time I don’t use it. I have this Midland CB hooked up to a 3ft Firestik and have had no issues with it.
I fixed the link. Thanks for the response. Am i correct in understanding that size doesn't matter here And that I can use the same for Axel and driveshaft joints?
If you live anywhere that it is hot or sunny, gotta start with tinting the front windows and windshield. 20% to match the factory, llumar air 80 on the front. Or if you don't want darker windows, you could do that air 80 on all the windows. Cuts out UV light so that it doesn't enter and get trapped in the vehicle. I noticed at least 30 degree difference with the windshield and 25% on all the windows (I had no tint). Also I imagine it'll keep the interior of my jeep from wearing due to the sun since I park outside all the time.
also get a stubby antenna like this
i'd also consider some rear storage solution to hold stuff like recovery straps, flashlight, first aid, whatever. The 4-doors have more options for that
I got this one from Amazon last week. Haven’t seen a reception difference. $20
I picked them up off of amazon.

This one?
These Headlights are surprisingly good for the price I Also Wired the Halo LED to a fuse that turned on when the Key is On/Running the Jeep. You'll have to adjust your headlights after but there a little t15 screw that allows you to do that (Left for lower, right for Higher, on my 2015 Sahara I can access this screw without taking the Grille off)
