I think the interest in KAP for the reddit community is best served elsewhere: I had hoped activity here would grow, KAP is a joy to me and I seek to share it but visitors to the subreddit are few and those that do are not really in to KAP at all.
I'll leave you guys to have fun and enjoy what you learn from your experiences. Over the last 4 months I have shared the best of my work with you and it's been ignored.
Kite flyers you may be: photographers you aint!

and there are many, many more: KAP is remarkable for its open presence on the web- frankly I'm staggered to hear links are hard to find!
I just got back from the beach. It flew GREAT! I actually order this one
but it's the same maker and dimensions as the rainbow conyne I linked.
I was using a home made picavet and a GoPro. Not sure of the totally weight, but I definitely feel like I can make it lighter. But even still, the kite had not trouble at all getting it in the air. I was able to control it really well too, bringing it down right above my friends heads, slowly and steady, at one point. And I haven't flown a kite in years.
I'm just getting into KAP, but for the price, I have absolutely no complaints.
I will say that this was at the beach, so it was quite windy, but no more windy than on any other day.
I'll post some video of my flight and my picavet in a few days.
I ended up getting the one I linked (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M56CJS8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It does work but I'd suggest getting a larger one. It takes quite a bit of wind to lift the picavet and even then it's not perfect by any means. May be ok at the beach in a strong wind but elsewhere it's not going to have enough lift.
I actually have a similar question, I have narrowed it between a flowform ~$200 and the Into The Wind Parafoil 10' Although this list weekend I saw someone flying a fleet of power sleds that looked very stable but I have heard they aren't reccommended for KAP? any one with experience with Power Sleds?
I got this with that kite and it works wonders for me https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GHG5OBU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
