I highly recommend Buck O'Neil's autobiography, I Was Right On Time if you want to learn more about the Negro Leagues. Follow that up with Joe Posnanski's The Soul of Baseball to learn more about Buck himself. If anyone else has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

Also, I wish he had answered your question about the Jazz Museum. I was going to ask the same thing until I saw your question. As a big fan of jazz, the museum was sort of a bummer. It should be just as impressive as the NLBM, given the history of jazz in KC. I hope the new director can turn it around.

a few months back, i installed a bidet, this model, on my shitter at home.

it's a little hard to "aim" at first, but i can't tell you how much i recommend this over regular old tp/butt wipes. i never realized how nice it was having a confidently clean butthole.

You and truly all Royals fans owe it to themselves to read More Than a Season. It's really great to get some insight into Dayton and the behind the scenes of the organization. Your anecdotes are spot on with the book and who Dayton is as a boss and a human being.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I think I'm going to try some pulled pork next. Have cooked pork chops, burgers, and ribs in it so far! All pretty tasty. Still working on the temperature issue. It generally runs about 30-40 degrees hotter than what it says so that hasn't helped for a beginner, but adjusting the temperature to account for that seems to work fine. And this is the one I got for the record. https://www.amazon.com/Masterbuilt-20072115-Bluetooth%C2%A0Smart-Digital-Electric/dp/B00TJ1OZR0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467475427&sr=8-1&keywords=masterbuilt+30+inch+bluetooth+smoker

I'm a big fan of Ben Templesmith's art style, and this standalone I remember really enjoying, though I haven't read it in years so I couldn't say if it holds up for me or not.

Hmm, you'd have to invest in a ceiling mount as well then I guess - you'd probably get away with mounting it in front of the fan if you've only got space for a 75" projection. I've got one of these probably ten feet from the wall, waist high, and the picture has to be 130"+

Heck, a friend of mine in Washington State recently told me he was able to get some off Amazon.

If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend reading Ryan's book. It helped me understand a lot of what I was dealing with internally. Absolutely couldn't put it down.

I just finished reading the book, "The Only Rule Is It Has to Work" (Amazon). It's about two baseball writers who get the chance to help run an independent-league baseball team for a summer. It was an interesting read, but was ultimately a little bit of a let down. Of course, the authors couldn't put half of their stat-based ideas into play. They were not the managers- they were basically advisers. They had to get buy-in from the actual manager and the players to implement ideas. Sometimes they worked, and sometimes they were left frustrated when their suggestions were ignored. If you're a fan of baseball, it's worth a read.
