Usually you have three things:
So I repeat the same step every morning.
At night:
PuriLens works great for me for filling my scleral lenses for insertion. Amazon has a year's supply for $40 - https://www.amazon.com/PuriLens-Preservative-Saline-Twelve-Bottles/dp/B000X98XS4
I'm sorry that your eye doctors aren't working with you until your scleral lenses fit comfortably. I've worn scleral lenses for 4 years now and have loved them - they never hurt my eyes like RGP lenses could. My vision doesn't get noticeably worse as the days goes on like they did with RGPs.
Ask your eye doctors if they can check the fit. There are no nerve endings in your sclera so the lenses should not be hurting your eyes.
Full, but, with the insertion tool, it's super easy.
https://www.amazon.com/DMV-Scleral-Large-Contact-Handler/dp/B00S5LQAUU
those are the tools i'm talking about.. it holds the lens securely, allowing you to fill it, then lean your head to insert it vertically.
I have no experience with the purilens system, so I can't really speak to that. But I've been in my lenses for about a year now and have just been using the unisol to fill my lenses as my doctor suggested.
Also, make sure you get something to clean your lenses, nightly is preferable. I use this:
http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Care-Hydrogen-peroxide-Cleaning/dp/B0076P12W2
This is important for your comfort, the lenses can get kinda gunky and possibly lead to infections if you don't keep them clean, so this is what my doctor suggested as well!
Good luck, hit me up ANY TIME!
For the nighttime eye guard make sure to get 3M tape. I had used some generic from the pharmacy and after tearing it off multiple weeks on end my skin started to get raw. This is what I used
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TXPZ64/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
If he already wears eye glasses get new ones ordered with one lens straight through. Also get good total block sunglasses.
Get baby shampoo or TheraTears lid scrub to help him clean his eyes. All those drops can build up a lot of goop. His eyes will be dry a lot so a lot of eyedrops (Thera tears is what I use) will help. Also for allergies in the eye to help with itching Zaditor was a life saver.
well, when i mean cheap stuff i mean 30x5ml pack around 3€ here in Portugal, which is preservative free as any expensive brand and has the same ingredients "0.9% sodium chloride solution" mixed with water.
I see on amazon even cheaper for those in U.S like https://www.amazon.com/Teleflex-Addipak-Unit-Solutions-Count/dp/B01DZ0DYOA
I use PuriLens with my sclerals. I’m happy with it and it’s preservative free.
PuriLens on Amazon US
PuriLens on Amazon CAN
Yes, been using for years, I like the 15ML ones better, I reuse and haven’t had an issue ever. I get them on amazon too and always get prime shipping. These are the ones I get.
ADDIPAK Unit Dose Solutions - 15ml (48 ea / Box) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XCQY3IY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lQ4PDbJHMEGXG
You could need a better fit, they fogged up when dry and needed a refit.
I wouldn’t store them dry, my doctor recommended this brand of saline
PuriLens Plus Preservative Free Saline Twelve 4-fl. oz(120-mL)Bottles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X98XS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jfl4Ab5NYFF0J
That's a fair point. Using this method does require a separate eye plunger for removal. I used these: https://amzn.to/2RJN8gS and found they had better suction.
This technique helped me get use to lining it up correct on the first attempt and feel comfortable shoving a chunk of glass in my eye every morning. After a few months I was able to use the standard plunger without the bottom cut out for insertion and removal.
+1 for celluvisc. I use it everyday along with addipak saline. I find it to be more comfortable than just saline alone
Last visit at the eye doctor, he said that the celluvisc makes the solution more viscous (thicker) which makes it harder for dust and other irritants to get under the lens. I have heard other folks say it helps with fogging as well.

Possibly better than nice sunglasses are safety glasses by Uvex with Dark Gray lenses, such as these:
Uvex glasses are economical and their lenses are designed to filter out light as needed to meet safety standards. With fashion sunglasses you are never quite sure what they filter out. Uvex Dark Gray lenses filter out close to 90% of visible light until you get down into the orange and red range. About 70% of the deep red end of the spectrum is filtered out and it drops down to about filtering out about 50% of infrared.
I don't know if infrared contributes to discomfort after CXL. If it does, Uvex Shade 3.0 filters out more than 95% of infrared and 90% of visible light except around green where it filters out about 80%. But these are meant for welding protection and you will barely be able to see with them.
Teleflex Addipak Unit Dose... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DZ0DYOA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's a little cheaper then getting it from the doctor. Depending on what you use to deep clean your lenses, you can pretty much find it on Amazon too.
I'm not sure about unisol. My patients have been pretty happy with AddiPacks: http://www.amazon.com/ADDIPAK-Unit-Dose-Solutions-3ml/dp/B00XCQXPMY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1462368558&sr=8-3&keywords=addipak
Not silly--I always wonder why this doesn't come up on the boards more often. Do males/people that don't wear makeup get KC more than females? Not to be gender normative but I wonder.
Anyways, I like this eyeliner:
https://www.amazon.com/Best-Waterproof-Liquid-Gel-Eyeliner/dp/B01541UOCI/ref=sr_1_17?crid=32FCORIYT052E&keywords=tatoo+eyeliner+pencil&qid=1571875865&s=beauty&sprefix=tatoo+eyel%2Caps%2C186&sr=1-17
Also, I don't wear mascara a lot because it's too much of a pain, but I find Blinc mascara works pretty well as long as you don't mind that it's a "tube" mascara and you have to pull the tubes off with water at the end of the night.
Thanks for the reply and I think I get what you're saying. Are you using a small or larger tool to remove/put them in. For putting them in I use the larger plunger (THIS ) and then to remove them I've been using this Smaller One. So are you using the edge of one of these to help break the suction of the skirt?
Have you looked into a night time eye mask? Something like Wahah Dry Eyes Relief Eyeshade Goggles for Sleeping Well, Block Air Leak into Eyes, Relief Dry Eyes, Eyeshade for Men and Women https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V222SDY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_njKODbY994JFA
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001118WVQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Boston 2 step is what I use. Red cap to clean it, rinse and then put in contact case with the blue cap conditioning solution. I'll use the protein remover that comes in this kit every couple weeks or so too.
I understand what you mean with waste regarding the unidose tubes, but it's currently the best way to avoid contamination as others have stated. I am in the U.S. and I use this product - which is almost identical to what you use, but with different branding and casing. You can always recycle the tubes IIRC.

Edit: Adding on - - - I have also used Purilens in the past and that was over kill. I used to purchase six, 4oz bottles at a time, but I kept under utilizing it by a landslide by the time it expired. Container states to stop using it 30 days after you originally break the seal. If I didn't I would start to notice that as time went on and I continued use of the saline, my sclerals would start to get cloudy towards the end of those 30 days. That's why I switched. Best of luck!
Turns out I lied, the bottles feels like 500ml, but they’re 2x350ml. More then enough for a month!
Avizor Ever Clean Without Preservative Cleaning, Disinfecting and Total Protein Removal System - 2 x 350 Millilitre 90 tabs - 90 Days https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007KJ1M9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GBy0Cb61P2BWX
I like this mascara off Amazon
i dont know if this can be used with sclearals, but i love it for my RGPs https://www.amazon.com/Clear-Care-Hydrogen-peroxide-Cleaning/dp/B0076P12W2/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1481571913&sr=8-1&keywords=hydrogen+peroxide+lens+cleaner
shoot, looking on google, it doesn't immediately sound like this should be used on sclarel lenses.
Get a contract lens remover/plunger and use it to pull it the lens by the edge of it when it's in your eye. That's the easiest way to pull it out.
https://www.amazon.com/DMV-Ultra-Hard-Contact-Remover/dp/B00OJWNY1C
I bought some sticky labels specially designed for this kind of thing. They are like sunglasses for your over-bright LEDs. I didn't get these due to my KC, just don't want various LEDs on devices lighting up our bedroom while we're sleeping.
They are called LightDims - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BZBBITE
I'm ordering some
Sensitive Eyes Plus Saline Solution
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EALX660
-Use for rinsing after daily cleaning and before insertion
I assume before insertion means 'filling' for insertion.
Comments on amazon don't outright state they use for insertion, but several keratoconus posts say they 'use' it, so that buffered my assumption.
I've been trying to unisol for weeks now locally, finally remembered to google it and found it's discontinued. Used the stuff for years now.
What works the best for me and sucks but you have to do it is you HAVE to look down into the center of the lens. You cant look sideways like with other contacts. If you dont honestly just forget it. It took me so long to get used to it and it fucking sucked for a week but now i get it in 1-2 tries.
Even if it hurts you have to do it or else it just wont work! I have the best contact eye clamp in the business from years of KC and even that didnt help until I learned to look down at the lens while inserting
Also to save on fluid if you dont already:
PuriLens Plus Preservative Free... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X98XS4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's what I use too, it's a little less expensive on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Teleflex-Addipak-Unit-Solutions-Count/dp/B01DZ0DYOA
Have you tried one of these?
suction cup contact lenses remover
https://www.amazon.com/PuriLens-Preservative-Saline-Twelve-Bottles/dp/B000X98XS4
I have the DMV Ultras and they're a bit hard to work. I find putting a drop of saline solution makes them work instantly. If you have Scleral lenses, you can also try to use suction cup on the edge of the lens. The torque pulling from the edge allows the suction cup to break the lenses' seal with less force than trying to pull them out from the center.
