    Features:
  • ULTRA HD DISCREET DESIGN DASH CAM: Top image sensor captures beautiful 2160p video even while driving fast. Signature low-profile design allows the V1 to be a well-hidden witness to the road ahead. Supports high-endurance micro SD memory cards up to 256GB in memory size.
  • 170 DEGREE ULTRA WIDE ANGLE LENS & WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE: The 7 layer glass lens opens up to capture a sweeping view of your surroundings. The superior WDR technology allows the camera to perform optimally in any lighting situation by adjusting the exposure to create balanced images and footage.
  • SUPERCAPACITOR & PARKING MONITOR: The dash cam uses a supercapacitor which can withstand extreme temperatures from -20 to 176°F, that prevents the risk of overheating, extends the life span and reliability of the camera. With the parking monitor feature, the dash camera will automatically turn on and record a 20 second video when the car camera detects vibration OR select to record 24/7 by capturing frames to make a 24/7 time lapse video. Need smart hardwire kit to activate the parking mode.
  • WIFI CONNECT: View, save, and share dash cam recordings wirelessly on your mobile device with the use of an app interface.
  • LOOP RECORDING AND G-SENSOR: Video can be recorded in 1,2 or 3 minute intervals. When the storage limit is reached on the memory card, new recordings will automatically overwrite the oldest recordings. When the built-in gravity sensor detects a collision, the current video is locked, ensuring important footage is kept protected. Locked videos will be kept safe from being overwritten.

I currently have these:

https://www.amazon.com/NINEO-Headlight-Extremely-Conversion-Adjustable/dp/B06XBZB74X/

They work really well, and I love the instant response when the brights are activated. They're some of the brightest lights I've used in a car with reflector housings, and I've been really happy with them.

If you get these, just make sure that they are lined up correctly in the housing so that you have a good beam pattern. They have a great cut-off line, almost exactly like stock, so that you don't blind other drivers; you just need to make sure that it's seated correctly and doesn't twist around when you install it. They also don't trigger my "light bulb out" warning system, which is really nice.

Though, while I'm currently using the ones above, I ordered this set from DDM Tuning:

https://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Categories/LED-Bulbs-Accessories/HeadlightsFoglights/Saber-55W-ProX-LED-bulbs-Coming-Soon

I'm still waiting for them to arrive, so I will update this post if they are better. The website says they aren't out yet, but I contacted support and they told me that they're ready and sent me a pair; they just haven't updated the website yet.

Welcome aboard! I love that grill style, I wish they were that fancy on the 2018's. My car is under warranty and has the UVO assist. Plus my insurance has roadside care. I don't think I've changed a tire in the last 15 years. You might check your insurance and see if they provide roadside assistance. (It's pretty standard in full coverage packages these days.)

Now, if you're specifically looking for a donut you can get a kit for about $200 from amazon. It's your basic small driving radius spare and a jack. Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/Kia-Soul-Spare-Tire-Kit/dp/B006VW0V2S

G'luck and welcome to the family!

I just did these 3 things to my '11. What I went with was a Kenwood dc9703s for the head unit. It works great, the only downside I have is that you have to plug your phone into it for carplay to work. It's not a big deal, but just one of those things.

https://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/navigation_multimedia/ddx9703s/

For backup camera I went with a cheapo from amazon that goes in place of the license plate light. It has worked great up until about a week ago when the picture stopped transmitting. Either the camera has kicked the bucket, or maybe a connector came loose. Up until that happened it has been great.

https://www.amazon.com/FEELDO-Special-Hyundai-Veloster-Genesis/dp/B073ZDHQWL/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=kia+soul+backup+camera&qid=1554471941&s=gateway&sr=8-5

To run the camera, you will have to run a video cable from the camera, and a signal cable to the head unit that you hook up to the reverse light. You can tap the reverse light wire for power if you only want it to come on when you go in reverse.

For a remote start, I just went to Best buy and had them do it. They put in a compustar remote start which does its job just fine, so I have no real input on that.

If you are doing rideshare, you either need to invest in a water proof seat cover or an upholstery cleaner, hot water extractor type. This is the one I own:

Carpet Cleaning Machine | Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner 5.5 Foot Hose https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T31O22Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Ry4HDbJ8A82VZ

Since your rear seat is already dirty like that, I'd just get the upholstery cleaner. Should pull that stuff right out. Keep doing it until the water returning to the cleaner runs clear. The upside is your car will smell really good after this. I use a soap from Target that's meant for pet stains and it works wonderfully in the car.

Thanks, man. I'm currently using a Rexing V1, and have been pretty happy with it. I'll definitely give the Blueskysea a look.

I have the OEM all weather mats on my 2015. They should fit your 2016 as well. They stunk (rubber smell) for a week or two, but after being in the sun, it finally went away. It wasn't too awful, but slightly noticeable. They're great for the price, and they're an exact fit for the car - which was my main reason for getting the OEM ones.

Hey cruise control guy here. My understanding is that the computer system is preloaded with all the required software for any OEM features and it should work like plug and play on your PC.

I have also had an Avital remote starter installed in the car which comes with keyless entry as a feature. I already had it as a feature, but the Avital allows me to lock it without the lights or horn going if I want to be stealth about it. Like when you don't trust someone near your car but don't want to be obvious about it.

Also congratulations on your new Soul!

Thanks! I only replaced the headlights and daytime running lights, I haven’t really figured out a way to get to the fog lights and just left the turn signals alone. The daytime running lights are good, and the headlights are pretty similar to the halogens, but I do think I should redo my headlight because they keep triggering the warning that my headlights are low after about a month. I’ll get better pictures later today.

If it's just skin oils then plain old soap and water should help. Use a car soap though, dish soap will strip wax.
