  • DEFINE YOUR LEGACY WITH CLOCKWORK PRECISION - Archer Watch Straps’ Seat Belt Straps feature heavy duty solid stainless steel buckles and hardware, available in flawless Polished Stainless or handsome Matte Black finishes. The versatile length will fit wrists ranging from about 6" to 9" circumference. Any excess length can be easily tucked away. They come in 18mm, 20mm, and 22mm width options to accommodate a wide range of watches. Measure your watch’s lug width in mm to choose the correct size.
  • SYNCHRONIZE YOUR STYLE - Get a new look in no time. Once you’ve removed your watch’s original strap, you can swap between straps in seconds with no tools or engineering degrees required. Our seat belt straps complement any wardrobe and are great for all styles of watches, including analog, digital, military, and diving watches.
  • BOND, JAMES BOND - MI6 Classified and Confidential: Inspired by the original striped watch strap worn by OO7 himself, our Seat Belt Straps are up for any adventure you are. Honzuki no Gekokujou (Ascendance of a Bookworm)
Ascendance of a Bookworm: Part 1 Volume 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q32HSFN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XWt6CbJCY16SA

The first volume was just released digitally by publisher J-Novel Club, but there are many more volumes to come. Series is really well written and a breath of fresh air.

Also I really liked:

-Didn't I Say To Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life?!

-I Shall Survive Using Potions!

Both series are by the same author, and honestly, Survive Using Potions! basically reads like it was made from a rough draft of Make My Abilities Average using unused ideas because many elements are quite similar.
But both are really fun reads with wit, adventure, and a healthy dose of humor.

Make my Abilities Average has about 5 or 6 volumes released at the moment with more to come. Survive Using Potions! was released more recently and only has 2 volumes so far, but more incoming

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years (SoL, basically “Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid in isekai form)

Average Abilities (Adventure, SoL, a humorous twist on the OP protagonist story)

So I’m a Spider, So What? (isekai, humor, starts as humorous and develops a shockingly complex and dramatic plot; the lead is female but it doesn’t really factor in the plot much so far)

I Shall Survive Using Potions! (humor, SoL; a very funny and feminist take on isekai, by the same author as Average Abilities)

All of these are licensed in English, all of the digitally and some physically available to purchase

(Edited links to show Amazon instead of NU)

Edit 2: thought of a couple more that need to be mentioned

Obsessions of an Otome Gamer (otome isekai, romance, drama; one of the better LNs I’ve read; inspiring lead character who takes charge of her own life and pursued her newfound passion for the piano, a real treat if you played/play an instrument)

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (otome isekai, comedy; absolutely hilarious story of a reincarnated “Villainess” character trying to prevent her disastrous fate, but is actually a lovable idiot. A must-read)

u/Cho_Desu · 1 pointr/LightNovels

The Violet Knight -- recently released, a josei light novel (I don't know how dark it is)

My Favorite Song: The Silver Siren -- a shoujo light novel (what I've read of it, it's a fun and lighthearted fantasy adventure)

You also might be interested in the light novel for Alice in the Country of Diamonds, if you liked that manga/VN.

I'm mostly into litRPG so that's what my recommendations will focus on.

everybody loves large chests was already a great webnovel but the author also published on amazon. you can still read it for free on royal road if you want. it features a truly evil monster as primary character who was never human to begin with, so it's quite a different take on the litRPG genre.

life reset is a VR based litRPG with the focus on the MC having been turned into a monster character against his will and ending up stuck in the VR world, with emphasis on city building.

Awaken Online is also a VR based litRPG but the main character kinda turns into a big villain. sort of.

Dodge Tank combines an interesting post-apocalytpical but very futuristic 'real' world combined with a VR world.

The Land/Chaos Seeds transportation litRPG with a bit of a contentious author who has a tendency to shove every fun idea he has into the story at the expense of actual story progression, but if you like the idea of city building litRPG I'd certainly still recommend it. there are plenty of other aspects that make up for it.

https://www.amazon.com/FAUST-1-NISIOISIN/dp/034550206X/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=faust+nisioisin&qid=1575127210&sr=8-1

That's not quite what it is... Faust is the collected works of a pulp literary magazine called Mephisto (correct me if I'm wrong) that used to run in Japan. Most of the authors who contributed to it, like NISIOISIN went on to become very famous. I'm pretty sure Kodono of Boogiepop fame was already famous. You can also see how some of the short stories they published in it served as prototypes for later much more famous works. Faust is ultimately a very important piece of LN History.

We only got the first two volumes of it, but it's amazing they even tried publishing it in English at all, given that at the time almost no one knew what light novels were. I can only hope maybe Vertical gives it a shot some day. But only after they finish Zaregoto.

u/Tanzzii · 2 pointsr/LightNovels

Thanks, I guess I will read them once I finish reading my current collection. Wanted to purchase the box set but they seem to be out of stock for season 1. If you plan on buying the rest, I would recommend the box set, seems like a good deal (well at least here in Canada).

Amazon preorder for Crest of the Stars ebook volume 1 just came up for June 9th, it literally got license rescued a couple weeks ago. They promised three-in-one hardback omnibuses starting early 2020, by the way, with Banner of the Stars for sure to come after Crest has finished. (Alternatively, you could get a $5/month membership at J-novel for weekly legal translations. Here is the free volume 1 preview ).
Don’t know about the other one, though.

u/MyrMindservant · 1 pointr/LightNovels

All You Need Is Kill

Mardock Scramble is a pretty good cyberpunk novel.

Seconding recommendation for Crest of the Stars, but the new translation is not quite ready yet. Volume one is only getting released next month and then you can either wait for volumes 2 and 3, or pay for subscription at J-Novel Club website to read the ongoing translation. Or you can wait till all 3 volumes are finished and binge it then.
Banner of the Stars translation will start after they are done with the Crest.

By the way, all titles mentioned above are regular Japanese novels, rather than light novels. It's pretty rare for pure sci-fi to be published as a light novel.

As for magitek/science fantasy, Owari no Chronicle is quite good. It's only available as fan-translation, you can find it at Baka-Tsuki. And there's an informative review at MAL.

I might be biased because I just read "The Good Student" yesterday/today and it left a huge impact on me, but I think you should start with that. I am sucker for romance stories, so I loved it. Only 11 chapters (160 pages) are out yet and a new chapter is out every sunday, I think. You can read it in 2-4 hours tops. Here is the link.

Read "The Faraway Paladin" afterwards. First volume is licenced and available in e-book fromat. You can buy it here.

Or you could read my favorite comedy WN , "I got reincarnated and mistaken for a genius".

Alterworld is like Zhang Long, except better in every way, shape, and form. It's slow to start, but the cultures and worldbuilding within the virtual world are amazing to read!

This is where I am getting a bit confused.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grimgar-Fantasy-Ash-Light-Novel/dp/1626926581?pf_rd_p=2a1ede3d-5f20-4bc3-967c-b478710315d3&pd_rd_wg=aUaG3&pf_rd_r=JPYDSB60ZGMNRJQ6G5DK&ref_=pd_gw_cr_simh&pd_rd_w=5vaN0&pd_rd_r=16909f17-ecec-4567-9f85-0c1d86a7b119

Its got light novel in the title but its labelled under the manga series and when you "look inside" its got the manga pictures. Is it just the website being confused? Its got the same amount of pages as the light novel listing as bookdepository does.

Thanks for your help!

"The Silver Siren" is a pretty good fantasy world-travel story, quite addictive. It was originally a web novel too.

u/SaveSaer · 2 pointsr/LightNovels

The original Gundam's novel adaptation - Story of the original anime series rewritten to be a more concise and gritty sci-fi narrative. Make sure to get the newest edition, as the earlier release was translated before the anime made its way stateside and the translated character names don't match with what most people are familiar with.

Alter World is probably one of the highest quality ones out there since it has an actual physical print in Russia also available on Amazon digitally in English with a high quality translation. You can read a synopsis here. The translation speeds not to bad about 1 to 2 full books a year as well.

u/pinecone316 · 3 pointsr/LightNovels

My bad, I was thinking of "Necromancer Awakening"

Have you looked into the "Play to Live" series? Its quite a bit darker than LMS but its one of my favorites. http://www.amazon.com/AlterWorld-Play-Live-Book-1-ebook/dp/B00LYJOII6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1421864024&sr=8-3&keywords=play+to+live&pebp=1421864028692&peasin=B00LYJOII6

Most people who start it end up finishing the entire translated series in several days.

u/BadLincoln · 1 pointr/LightNovels

You can actually kindle app on pc it has all the functionality that it would on e-reader. Here is the link for Volume 1 on amazon. I also recommend it.

All You Need Is Kill is nice.

Ame no Hi no Iris has robots, so that's probably sci-fi. Really good, anyway.

German Amazon

I guess you could make an acc on German Amazon and purchase it there?

u/lamientable · 3 pointsr/LightNovels

D. Rus' Play to Live series has pretty epic battles centered around capturing and protecting player guild castles starting from book 3 on.

If you can ignore the occasional typos, the World at War series contains nice large scale virtual reality battles, but with guns instead of magic. The MC's company/guild does try to earn the top spot from an underdog position though.

The Spineward Sectors series isn't really virtual reality or fantasy, but sci-fi, and the battles are with starships, but from what I recall I would call them large scale where the MC has to try and hold his spot as Admiral.

u/2oobi · 1 pointr/LightNovels

Spice & Wolf - Love story between a merchant and a wolf deity in a medieval setting.

DanMachi - Hodgepodge of gods from various mythologies acting as catalysts for adventures in a fantasy world.

Goblin Slayer - Edgy but unconventional story of a man who simply kills goblins.
