That would work and that is a pretty good dollar per gigabyte ratio compared to other external SSDs but it's not an amazing deal or anything. A more cost effective way to do it is to buy an SSD built for internal use such as this Western Digital Blue SSD and pair it with an external drive enclosure like this one on amazon. There are many different models of 2.5 inch drive enclosures so feel free to shop around for one that looks good to you. Just make sure it supports USB 3.0 (or 3.1 ideally) and SATA III for the best speed. As for the USB 3.0 cable, the one that comes with the enclosure should be fine. The only quality factors to consider when buying a USB cable I know of are distance and ruggedness. Since you probably aren't going to have the drive tens of feet away, the only real factor to worry about is durability, however most well reviewed cables should be good in this regard. This one looks promising. USB 3.0 is a standard so anything labeled USB 3.0 will work to that standard.

PS4 Flight Controls

_____

Keyboard and Mouse support is an issue that’s a lot more nuanced than people may expect. For one thing, you have to point out whether you’re talking about system support or game support. If it’s system support, native console keyboard and mouse support (on the PlayStation side at least) has been around since the PS1, which means that yes, the PS4 does have native keyboard and mouse support. The support issue comes into play with what games support, and really it’s just the fault of developers that most console games don’t have keyboard and mouse support.

A handful of console games have keyboard and mouse support, even some popular ones like Fortnite, Paladins, and Final Fantasy XIV, but most developers just opt not to include it into their console ports. One excuse if seen is that “consoles come with controllers, not keyboards and mice.” The problem with that idea is that it’s not balanced like that when it comes to PC ports, where they’ll have kb+m support and controller support, even though, you know, PCs don’t come with controllers. Another idea is that kb+m support would “give console players an unfair advantage.” However not only does that idea not stem to PC, where you can get an advantage in games by using specialised controllers for racing, flight, and fighting games, but tools like the Xim Apex and Hori Tactical Assault allow people to use keyboard and mouse on consoles, which means that only people who can afford them have that advantage. In that way, allowing universal kb+m support on consoles would actually balance things out by allowing all players to share that advantage, not just the ones who can afford $100+ conversion tools.

Developers tend to show extra love to PC players, and tend to under-support console players. It’s another part of the issue that people seem to view one option as the “better option,” which makes them underestimate or even look down on the “other option.” That’s not the fault of consoles, it’s the fault of people not wanting to treat them like a real gaming platform.

For max performance, this RTX 2080 looks good.

https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Windforce-Graphics-GV-N2080WF3-8GC/dp/B07J5LCQNF/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=rtx+2080+super&qid=1564070172&s=gateway&sr=8-3

But if you want to save a hundred bucks for a little less performance, get a 2070 super.

Edit: The RTX 2070 super is currently out of stock, so the RTX 2080 looks good. Also, it looks like the NVIDIA website has better deals.

Nvida, the preformance is just vastly superior at the current gen, going forward it will be interesting to see what AMD can do.

My i reccomend this laptop? http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/inspiron-15-7000-gaming/spd/inspiron-15-7577-laptop/fncwfs604h

It has the best configuration your looking for, though only an i5, but Linus surely liked it!

NOTE: You will have to purchase an additional RAM stick of DDR4-2400, but its very easy to install

May I suggest instead looking at 8TB drives? It's become really popular over at /r/datahoarder to buy a 16TB WD My Book Duo and harvest the two 8TB WD Red drives inside them, making them essentially $250 each. WAY cheaper per TB than pretty much anything else, and they are really solid drives.

Would something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MBS6JY/

And this : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071G83L1J/

Work?

I didn’t watch the video since it’s pretty long and I don’t have the time for it right now.

Yeah, the laptop has all 3.0 USBs so all good there! Thanks for the information though, I had my eye on the western digital drives.

Are there any that you’ve used personally and or would recommend? As for a USB 3.0 cable, I assume not all are made equally.. any reasonable priced / quality ones you recommend?

Edit: oh jeez please justify me spending $300 on this 2tb SSD. Is this a good deal or am I insane. https://www.amazon.com/1TB-Passport-Portable-Storage-WDBK3E0010PSL-WESN/dp/B07CFY9SHX?th=1

Amazon.ca had some a few days ago, but way overpriced. Like 250cdn. I have one and just replaced the psu fan with a noctua and was just curious what a stock psu would cost if I fudged it up.

Edit: nvm almost 500 cdn lol

Cheap, works decently, easy to setup. I'd recommend these if you want decent bluetooth over the ear headphones that satisfies your wallet.

If it is a simple power strip with a label, that's crappy.

However, if it has some kind of Power Conditioning built in to smooth out the power, then it might be worth something. Would have to tear it down to see how it functions and if it's worth it.

You should be the guinea pig and buy it, do a tear down and see what makes it tick to see if it is anything special :)

I mean, look at this, it might not be hard to reconfigure it to work in a power bar type of form factor.
