G305 master race. If you end up liking the shape and have a claw and/or fingertip grip, it is pretty close to endgame. Once you get some Lithium AAAs (and perhaps even some 3D printed parts, mostly the battery cover and the shell), then it's hard to find a better mouse, at least with the combination of features like the G305 has, like the low weight and wireless.

From my personal experience of using the mouse, though, I would recommend doing at least two "mods", both of which are optional, but recommended (one more than the other) for various reasons.

Firstly, the sidebuttons mod. I don't really think this makes a huge difference or anything, and I didn't even bother doing this close to a year into me owning my G305, but you can put a little piece of folded paper in-between the sidebuttons PCB and the little plastic enclosure that holds it in place, essentially pushing (and keeping) the sidebuttons more towards the outwards of the shell. This means the sidebuttons PCB (and the switches soldered on top of it) is pushed closer to the plastic buttons that our fingers use to press down the sidebuttons clicks, and it makes the sidebuttons have less pre-travel and makes them feel more crisp.

The second thing I would do - which I haven't seen anybody explicitly mention - is to get a small (about 1/4 inch) circle cutter (from Amazon or something), like this one that I got, for example, and replacement mousefeet (which are just generally a thing to consider, due to slightly better glide etc), from which I'd recommend Tiger Gaming's Arc mousefeet (because while Hyperglides are an option as well, they are both glidier than the Arcs (and to the extent that I found them uncomfortable and slippery after using the Arcs for a while), and more expensive), and then making circular cut-outs into one end of all the mousefeet (with the exception of the middle bit), so you end up with something like this (ignore the G304 written on it; it is a G305, but I ended up sanding my old G305 shell to make it "shiny" and got a replacement G304 shell from AliExpress). I messed up cutting the top left foot, so it tends to accumulate dust faster than the others ('cause it has more of the plastic shell bit for it to grip onto), but it is very easily fixed by just blowing on top of the screws. I also rounded the corners a bit with small scissors, and I have not had any scratching or anything due to the cuts. I would, however, recommend going over it slowly and deliberately, to avoid making a bad cut somewhere.

Now, why did I do this to my mousefeet, beyond just a simple "I can just open it up easily and keep the same mousefeet forever hurrdurr"? Well, this leads into one of the biggest (and more or less only) issues the G305 has, in my experience. Since it uses the HERO sensor, it is a bit more sensitive to dust (than for example the PWM3360), and I have had occasional (albeit rare) spin-outs in the past because of this. Of course, just blowing onto the sensor can help a bit, but I occasionally (especially because I'm legitimately addicted to opening electronics at this point) just open it up whenever I'm watching a video or something, and actually gently wipe down the sensor with a microfibre cloth. It's helped me keep the sensor much cleaner, and I haven't had a single spin-out since.

With all that said, great choice, and I hope you enjoy the G305 as much as I have. It's a great little mouse, both out-of-the-box, and for how much (easy) customizability it allows.

Mechanical is great. I highly recommend either buying a mechanical key tester https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboards-Cherry-Switch-Tester/dp/B07GL3J683/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=mechanical+key+tester&qid=1555259949&s=gateway&sr=8-7 or better yet, going to a dedicated computer store like Newegg and test out the keyboards yourself.

However, if you're planning on getting a mechanical, I'd recommend a Coolermaster or Ducky. Far better build quality than Logitech ones but costs more money.

Mechanical keyboards lasts longer than membrane ones and feels better when typing.

It also depends on the type of switch you're looking for.

  • Blue Switch - requires force to push down and has a tactile bump. It's really good to let you know you've pressed a key, but using it for a long period of time can tire out your fingers because it requires more force to push down than a membrane, red or brown key. Generally seen as the best for typing. Also makes a lot of noise so beware of using these keys in offices or at home if you have family members who doesn't like the noise (but oh so satisfying).
  • Red Switch - Are linear keys that goes straight down with no tactile bump. Generally these are seen as the best for gaming since there's nothing slowing you down. You can perform micro-key inputs by knowing how far down you have to push to trigger a key and resting your finger just at that point.
  • Brown Switch - Are inbetween Blue and Red switches. Doesn't require force like a Blue Switch, but has a small tactile bump to let you know when you've triggered a key unlike the Red switch. Also doesn't make a lot of noise. If you're new to mechanical keyboards, these are generally the recommended ones so you can have an experience of what you like.
  • Romer G Switches - These are Logitech ones and are essentially Red Switches. Mechanical keyboard enthusiasts don't like these, but I've used one for about 3 years on my old g910 before it broke down and they're not bad for gameplay, but I mistype so easily with these.
  • There are also other switches like green, black, silver, etc. These are essentially Blue/Red/Browns with different force requirements to push down.

It's also important to note that Logitech doesn't use standard keycaps, so if you do want to replace them, you'll have to buy directly from Logitech. This isn't really important unless you want to switch them for something else.

Also you can skip RGB/LED if you don't care about the lighting. The LEDs should lasts on average 5+ years but your mechanical keyboard can last much longer than that if it's a good brand.

For example, I have a Ducky Shine 3 that's like 6 years old and despite all the LEDs being burnt out (it has bad blue LEDs), it still works like on day 1. I've just replaced the keycaps with new ones and use that at work.

Yeah, I have that one. Heard it's a common problem with that model... i hope it doesn't happen to me, and if it does I hope it gets replaced with HERO model on which the issue was apparently fixed.

If you're out of warranty period, I head getting better switches helps, but you need to know how to install them. Also buy replacement mouse feet if you plan on a switch mod, you'll probably break the feet if you aren't super careful. (Products I link to here are 3rd party, they are NOT Logitech and are also merely examples of what you can get. I heard the switches are good replacements for the cheap switches used in the 903, but for the feet I simply linked to a set of feet with good reviews - remember to look around for better deals!)

Also, I heard sometimes the issue is caused by static electricity, so if you turn off your mouse, unplug from USB and take it off of the Powerplay for 30 seconds it solves the issue for a month or so.

> The difference between this and similar products is that you can replace it as the product ages

That's what they said about every battery ever made. They're all extinct, or rare and expensive. The only batteries you can always get are AA batteries. Reinventing the wheel is not innovation. We don't need another incompatible battery type.

> Rechargeable lithium ion AA batteries are both inferior and expensive, and don't output an acceptable voltage.

Electronics can and do use whatever voltage they need, from whatever power source they need. Most sophisticated electronics use multiple voltages, and they use DC-to-DC voltage conversion circuitry to achieve that. It really doesn't matter much what voltage your battery is in most cases, but especially this case.

If you don't like lithium ion AA batteries, then why insist on lithium ion? NiMH is probably better for this application anyway. In any case, if you really need lithium ion AA batteries, Kentli seems to have been superseded by Tenavolts:

The G302 is still being produced and you can order one at https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Daedalus-Prime-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00OHJY7C2/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=g302&qid=1556841817&s=gateway&sr=8-1 . If you're gaming and playing an FPS, I would suggest the G Pro or G502. But if you really enjoy the g302 shape, I would say you cough up extra money to buy a G303 from ebay. It has a great sensor which is evidently superior compared to the g302 and the shape is the same. I currently use a g303 and love it.

u/lanceh90 · 1 pointr/LogitechG

The Logitech G Pro Wired is, well, wired. It is based off the same design as the G305, which is the wireless version.

The Logitech G Pro also comes with the latest HERO sensor of 16k DPI. This model is called theLogitech G Pro HERO.

The Logitech G Pro Wireless is a special esports gaming mouse that is wireless and uses the same HERO sensor. However, it has a completely different shape.

TL;DR: It is wired.

The G933's I'm using haven't been too bad - really the 2 biggest gripes I have are that I can't seem to charge them while using them (they restart every 5 minutes if I do this, even if the battery is full...) and that when I first turn on the headset, I have to manually pair them to the receiver. That said, if you're not all that worried about lighting and whatnot, the pair of headphones I had before, Turtle Beach's Stealth 450's were awesome. 15 hour battery life (I often only got about 12 to 14 hours), I could charge and use them at the same time, they still have the Sidetone feature (being able to hear yourself with whatever you're listening to), easy 40 foot wireless range, they sounded pretty great, and were fairly priced considering the average price of wireless headsets. If my G933's were to die in the near future, I'd honestly probably pick up another pair of the Stealth 450's.

(Old comment I know but just wanting to pitch in) Love the 700s. I too charged mine for the most part of a year, ended up buying the Eneloop Charging pack and now I never charge this damn thing! Makes having a swappable battery Wireless mouse so much easier.

I bought 3 of these g700s while they were down to 40-60$ and well in stock before what ultimately happened now being scarce and expensive. Probably never gonna switch from this mouse unless they come out with an exact replica like they did with the G700s from the G700.

If you are going to play ETS2 or ATS, get an SKRS. This is the one I use, and it is amazing. Pricey, sure; But it is amazing quality, and it really adds to the experience: https://www.amazon.com/Shifter-Replacement-Logitech-Thrustmaster-EasyJakeBrake-Windows/dp/B07DVW2WYK/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=skrs&qid=1573415326&sr=8-16

Looks like they do fit, there are reviews for g933 ear pads that state it fits their g935

Sort by recent reviews. So just find the best g933 pads I guess

u/funklahoma · 1 pointr/LogitechG

Not sure where you live, but I'm assuming since you said USD it's in the states. Amazon currently has the earpads, seemingly the same earpads even made by Logitech, for $15 with 8 good reviews.

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G633-G933-Earpads/dp/B01960J1YU

Upon looking at other options, Brainwavs sells these replacements for other large headphones and in the questions and reviews sections, a buyer confirmed they fit on their G633 headest. Though they are a little more expensive at about $22.

I had this issue with an older keyboard and I fixed it easily with the product below.

hope it helps !

This was an adapter (Micro usb female to Micro male Adapter Converter extension) I found that fits perfectly and it is a secure connection that does not rattle when shaken.

This is the charging cable I use with the G502 Lightspeed: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077BY313R/

Adapter + USB magnet = around 3.45 g

G502 + adapter + USB Magnet - PowerPlay = around 115 g

I'm still using my G700. I like the button placement. The only thing I'd change is to put a charger on it like the Microsoft Sidewinder x8 like this version( https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-3HA-00001-SideWinder-X8-Mouse/dp/B001FA1SIM )

did you buy it from here? Because it clearly does say it's from logitech if you did http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-920-006385/dp/B00N3OELPU/ref=sr_1_1?srs=2528918011&ie=UTF8&qid=1457421168&sr=8-1&keywords=g910

But if you bought it from another reseller there then it's clearly not from logitech.

G602 is nice. especially if you will play MMO and LOL. the 900 is top of the line obvi but I cant see spending that much on a mouse.

I suggest the Logitech g502. probably one of the best mouses i have ever used in my life. Another suggestion similar to it is the Logitech g602 which is the wireless version of the g502. I have had my g502 for nearly 2 years and it still acts as if it is brand new. heres a link to it https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Proteus-Tunable-Customizable-910-004074/dp/B00IRHE892
and here is the g602
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Wireless-Mouse-Battery/dp/B00E4MQODC/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1481129635&sr=1-1&keywords=logitech+g602

I was in this same dilemma until the reviews came out.

That 4.something score at least assures you that RMA hell is unlikely, that issue with the buttons touching is huge, I really wouldn't want to buy that with or without a revision honestly, I don't really like that design choice, and the G305 is essentially the same mouse but cheaper, you can even get down to almost the same weight using lithium batteries, and also note that the G305 is extremely efficient, you may think you don't care but this is quality of life, it can go on for months, you could offer me a powerplay mat for free that I wouldn't want it because it just doesn't matter on this mouse.

And I found that the shape is indeed a bit too small and it does fatigue me a tiny bit, but to me it is very tolerable, this shape is actually mostly fine to me since I have a fingertip grip, and I am already used to gripping anything really, this just isn't the most comfortable mouse I have ever used, but I didn't rank comfort as a priority when I bought it, I just wanted a reliable light mouse.

Thinking about Corsair K55 still has macro buttons and media keys plus I can get it for 20 bucks on amazon =)

Or this one it has Macro, Media Keys w/Vol. Scroll wheel. Reg price 59.99 I doubt it has great quality controll but I will give it a shot. https://www.amazon.com/Backlit-HV-KB378L-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B01AVQT95Y/ref=sr_1_83?keywords=gaming+keyboard&qid=1571948947&s=electronics&sr=1-83

u/Zaxster99 · 1 pointr/LogitechG

I believe it discontinued, the MX Blue version is very rare.

A good alternative is the Corsair K70 Lux with Cherry MX Blues, it has some of the same features such as the media keys and a volume wheel. https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-K70-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B01ER4B8S2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1526935730&sr=8-3&keywords=corsair+k70+lux+cherry+mx+blue

I have this Turtle Beach wireless headset and it's quite good. I managed to find a Warehouse Deal for $67, fortunately.

The 602 is currently $37:

It was $25 for black Friday. And may be cheaper again for Cyber Monday.
