We got the Motorola MB7420 for the modem and then the Google OnHub Router from TP-Link. We've experienced considerably better WiFi coverage and a better quality of service overall.

If you don't mind a quick and dirty DIY job buy one of these (there are models with more sensors if you need them) https://www.amazon.com/Fortress-Security-Store-Wireless-Detectors/dp/B00A1D907U/

and one of these -
https://www.amazon.com/OBi200-1-Port-Adapter-Support-Service/dp/B00BUV7C9A .

It's super simple to setup the system for google voice for the obi. Afterwards you run an analog cable from the obi to the security system and program the security system to call whoever. My setup was around $160 total and it's rock solid.

[Germans in Louisville] (http://www.amazon.com/Germans-Louisville-American-Robert-Ullrich/dp/1626196540) just came out a little bit ago. An amazing amount of effort went into it from 20 something different authors. I haven't had the time to get into it, but went to the presentation when it was released. It looks quite interesting.

I bought this off Amazon when it was on sale a few years ago. The convenience of having it with me all the time and not having to worry about finding a gas station with an actual functioning air compressor was worth every penny.

I highly recommend getting one.

Mr. Splitfoot. Best (fiction) book I've read in years. Bellevue for nonfiction.

$30, Natural Gas Leak Detector Detection Alarm:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PWC6V3Q/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_U\_kvJ5CbDY2N317

Read instructions for yourself but natural gas is lighter than air (it rises), so placement of the detector is important.

I live on a road that connects to Chenoweth Lane and really fear a widening. There's always foot traffic along the road, even a crosswalk so students can walk to Chenoweth Elementary. If the road is widened and it looks more like a speedway than a lived-in area, cars will act accordingly. If you all are interested in how traffic patterns affect our behavior, I really recommend this book: http://www.amazon.com/Traffic-Drive-What-Says-About/dp/0307277194

It's called a panama hat. Essentially a straw fedora. You can find some pretty cheap one's online (like this one), but you could also try target. They often have a decent selection of hats for under $30. Look in both men's and women's as some of the more basic women's panamas could work as well.

A few of my friends were sharing this on FB this morning, so I'll reply with what I said there:

For those who are wanting a quality OC "pepper" spray, this is what the guys who teach force-on-force for a living recommend: https://www.amazon.com/SABRE-Pepper-Spray-Tactical-Clip/dp/B072BHBPC3/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512056431&sr=8-1&keywords=sabre+red+1.33

Ladies, please PLEASE decide right now that if someone's going to attack you, you are going to make them pay dearly for their choice. Fight them kicking & screaming the whole time. Make them suffer. If you aren't willing to carry a gun, carry OC spray like what I listed above. If you don't have a CCW, I can show you some non-firearm options.

First start your cast iron cookware bubbling with some peanut oil.

Whisk an egg white and make a wash.

Blend flour, corn meal, and seasonings to your taste.

Finally acquire the chicken. Get your running shoes on, get you one of these: https://www.amazon.com/CHICKEN-CATCHER-CATCHING-POULTRY-TURKEY/dp/B01MZ06EMB and roll around St. Matts, Nulu, and the Highlands lookin for coops.

Now combine the ingredients in the obvious fashion, fry till golden brown, and enjoy.

Never heard of this. Is this the one? I'm definitely going to check it out.
