I don't have a good mobile device, but, I have a Windows 10 PC. The computer has been updated earlier this year. So, this page haven't been changed recently.

Monitor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078GL93KG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm seriously trying to look back into playing a decent MMO but, the Western Hemisphere is lacking the goods. I'm more exciting to play the Korean MMO's but, I can't speak Korean neither have an identification to prove that I'm Korean.

  • What are you looking for?:

Free-To-Play-MMO with update support and great customer service. Any animated or graphic style format. Something like Animal Crossing. No 2D-Side Scrolling

  • What games have you previously played?:

Tales-Runner, Flyff, IMVU, Mabinogi, Elsword, Fiesta Online, Luna Online, Aura Kingdom, Gaia, Second-Life

  • What is your play-style (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?:

    Casual, Social-Life, Intermediate

  • Any preferred mechanics?:

Marriage System, Offline Mode, Patched Software, Availability To Screen Capture, Customization Resolution,

  • Anything specific you want to exclude?
  • I hate FPS games. I want a customization control option and a good HUD that I can move around. Where they have in-game sales and in-game and website currency sales. I just want to play an open world game where there's tones of things to do and an active GM Team that communicates with their players in-game without on a specific event. Also, it has not to be on Steam and have their own website with a friendly-virus free software for me to download. Another way is how Nexon has their software where I can download it on a different software rather than download the (.exe) file. I want no Rune-scape. I just want a computer friendly game. I seriously don't want an old game to play as long as the community is active and events are always up and running. I'm willing to pay for the game but, I'm not willing to pay for crappy subscriptions.

A friend of mine used a Naga for years and swore by it. It broke, and I bought him one of these as a present. $36. He'll never go back. As an aside, the OMRON microswitches in the mouse make it feel absolutely glorious.

Redragon Perdition

EDIT: Also, keypads can be great if you want to manage the camera separately with a hat button, but you have the problem that you start be almost completely unable to play any game if you don't have it with you.

I would recommend that instead you get used to ESDF for movement instead of WASD. It frees up an extra finger and puts your hand in range of 3 extra keys, as well as making shift more comfortable to hit with your pinky and alt easier to hit with your thumb.

EDIT 2: You could also consider grabbing a mechanical keyboard. Get one with the switches you like the feel of the most. Go to a store and try out all the different switch types and then find a deal when you can. It'll set you back $80-$140 bucks though.

I will cast my votes for TERA and Rift. Rift is 100% free and very well polished since it was a pay-to-play game originally. Their F2P model is one of the best around.

TERA is a great action MMO with a very active community. If you intend to play TERA, I recommend picking up a boxed copy of the game as that will unlock 8 character slots per server and many other perks (see the Founder column) for a one-time fee of (currently) $16.50. If you enter the CD key backwards, you also get a second free mount (entering the key normally gives the Terminus mount whereas entering it backwards gives the Tawny Huntress mount).

You can create an account and play TERA while you wait for your boxed copy to arrive, then apply the codes to your current account. You don't have to create the account with the boxed copy's CD key to get the perks.

Gotcha, well hope things go well for you! I'm the same way with triple A titles which is why I bought a GTX 1060 personally for my computer to last me 3-5 years, with at 5 years being able to run triple A titles on low at least. Though if that's the case with having a lot of downtime at work, I would highly agree on buying a laptop in that case! The laptop you stated does seem decent and should be plenty well enough for some casual gaming, and should be good enough for mmo's. I'd also recommend buying a cooling pad(example) as well for if you're to be playing mmo's, especially if raiding is your interested as raiding can be quite impact-ful on your cpu!

First of all, sorry for the stuff you are probably going through but cool to see you are not let down by it and you don't abandon your hobby.

In the Lotro sub you already got some great answers but I want to throw in what GeigerCounting mentioned.

Maybe something like a keypad would help you, it even has a joystick:

What enr4ged is saying is that the pixel resolution is what effects the FPS, not the physical size of the screen. So yeah 1920x1080 on any screen size is going to be more demanding than 1600x900.

In terms of the FPS you are going to get, as long as the CPU is decent the biggest determining factor will be the GPU. In those models the GPU is the Nvidia 765m. It's a decent mobile GPU but not the top of the line. Here's an article with benchmarks for the 765M, 770M and 780M GPUs. Scroll down to see the gaming benchmarks.

The 765m isn't going to handle some modern games at 1920x1080 with all detail settings on (such as ultra settings in some games). If you are okay with reducing some of the settings, it should do fine. Running at 1600x1080 will give better performance if you want all the frills, but I can't say whether it would still be enough (see for example the Guild Wars 2 FPS numbers on that article). Mostly it's going to depend on what games you play but it is one of the better mobile GPUs out there.

If pure GPU performance is what you are looking for, go for a laptop with the 780M. The numbers at 1920x1080 are much better in a lot of cases. The MSI G Series GT70 20D-064US runs $2000 and has the 780M for example. Although if you go that route, budget some money to swap the 5400 RPM HD out for at least a 7200 RPM HD or even better an 256GB+ SSD.

Yeah, if it was free to play I'd push a lot harder for people to try it, but I can understand not wanting to plop down thirty bucks for a game you're not sure you'd want.

However, I really love modern day/supernatural settings. Some of my favorite book series are The Nightside books by Simon R. Green, The Hollows series by Kim Harrison (especially so because I actually live near Cincinnati, which is where the books take place), The Hellboy graphic novel series, and so on.

So yeah, a game with a modern day setting where I get to spend hours fighting zombies, insane cultists, bloodthirsty vampires, and elder gods? Sign me up! :D

I came here looking for book recommendations for people who like MMO's and Fantasy, so disappointed.

If anyone loves MMOs, especially old school ones like DAoC and EQ, I highly recommend The Sanctuary Series. 8+ parts to it and the first 3 are free.

When I saw the title I thought you were referring to the mobile game, http://www.amazon.com/inXile-entertainment-The-Bards-Tale/dp/B008S3EJSU (can't say how good it is but it has good reviews).

My friend and I were talking about the Bard class recently actually. I thought it was sad that their role of a support mage was turned into other classes like Mystic (TERA). I recently rolled a bard in D&D and it was a lot of fun, and there are ways to spec an offensively oriented bard...would be interesting to see an MMO try it again.

Maybe something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/i7-8750H-Processor-GeForce-Gigabit-Windows/dp/B07DY11M1F/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=asus+rog+strix+1060+ti+laptop&qid=1563007196&s=gateway&sr=8-13

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/new-dell-g3-15-gaming-laptop/spd/g-series-15-3590-laptop

These are what I'd consider mid to high range gaming laptops. The most important factor in looking for a gaming laptop is the Graphics Processor (Nvidia Geforce 1650, etc.). Do not get Integrated Graphics. Look at Benchmarks to make a comparison https://www.notebookcheck.net/

However, IF you don't need to mobility of a laptop, build a desktop instead, you can build a high-end rig for about $1500 if you spend enough time researching the parts.

Also, I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting Intel/Nvidia over AMD. (Sorry AMD fans) There are some games that do not play well with AMD because they use some proprietary software like Hairworks or PhysX and you can't disable it. Intel CPU because some software that requires Intel virtualization can't be run on AMD

Top ARPGs:

BDO

Vindictus

Tera

Neither of these are P2W.

/r/TeraOnline
Tera really only gives you costumes and convenience items in their cash shop, such as field repair kits. You can buy a Founder's Pack on Amazon and apply the code to your account, which gives you tons of permanent benefits, such as 8 character slots instead of 2, and a faster mount for all characters.

/r/BladeAndSoul
Cash shop is mostly costumes and convenience items. There is a premium option that's like a 30-day subscription that gives your characters special benefits for the duration, such as increased exp and gold find.

You know... I'm cheap as hell. Budget stuff is what I do best. This is my current headset and they're great. Cheap, comfortable, acceptable sound quality, muting and volume control on the cord so I don't have to alt tab. Solid head phones. Sometimes I accidentally mute myself though lol. The button is very sensitive. But when I do, there is a small light that shines red when muted. So I can look and know at a glance.

You can currently get a 30 day freebie account on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Eve-Online-FREE-Days-Game/dp/B01HRUYT7K/

I'm a veteran player so I don't fit the "let's learn this" group, but I'm looking to put together a casual collective of solo players who want to hang out and trade interesting eve business ideas without the social overhead of a large corp/alliance. Think startup-incubator, but in eve online.

If exploring space solo without a corp sounds more like what you want, then drop me a message.

I have owned a Naga and a G600. Both are fine. But honestly I am using this $30 one now for the past year and it works great.

We selected Peter Newman for the book as we consider him to be an excellent fantasy author.

When we arranged for the cooperation, we wanted to get support in outlining the lore for the game and thought that working with an author to create a proper book alongside it would be killing two birds with one stone.

You are right that Albion is not very lore heavy. That's definitely something that we can and should improve on. As a result of that, we wouldn't call the existing lore "canon" in the sense that we see it as set in stone.

So about ~1 month ago I bought myself a new chair for my desk and I went with this one.

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049UCECE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There were some questionable reviews, so I was skeptical, but I honestly really like the chair.

The Secret World has an amazing immersive storyline and every ability is available to every player. It's only $15 on [Amazon] (http://amzn.com/Secret-World-Online-Game-Code/dp/B007VTVKG6/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1369285771&sr=1-1&keywords=the+secret+world) right now.

You could get a mouse with number keys on it like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G600-Gaming-Mouse-Black/dp/B0086UK7IQ

And play almost any MMO without mastery in piano key smashery.

u/thumbtackjake · 1 pointr/MMORPG

This. I've had my G600 for a couple of months now and I love it. Before that I used a Razer Naga for a few years, but wasn't really wanting to spend that amount again (buttons had worn out and was developing issues). You can find it on Amazon for ~$30USD.

u/grey_sky · 0 pointsr/MMORPG

It was $40 on amazon just last week. I've been debating picking it up for the past month since the announcement of b2p.

I haven't played ESO so I dunno if its worth the burritos or not, but looks like amazon has the box version for far fewer burritos: http://www.amazon.com/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-PC-Mac/dp/B0081Q58AW

u/john_doe_jersey · 2 pointsr/MMORPG

You can buy it on Amazon for $18 and get 30 days of game time. They make you set up a sub before you can log in, but they don't charge you and you can cancel it right after you're in game.
