Bad ass fire!! A whole scene of biblical reckoning!!! The art in this story was pretty fun. I mean at least Ghost Rider and the villain. The other stuff was pretty functional, but maybe the contrast was what made it work. The colorist, Dan Brown did an awesome job. I definitely saved that screen shot for reference for how you draw someone who's totally engulfed in flames and bad fucking ass!! I mean look at the amount of black in the progression of those three panels. That level of contrast between the black and the bright fire just turns up the badassery, which is totally a word.
I love Jason Aaron's writing! This is some earlier stuff, and I thought the dialogue was a little bland. Also I don't need a recap every issue in a 6 issue run. I thought the rest of the story's pacing worked real well though. There were some cool hints for the future too.
Having not read any Ghost Rider other than in our other reading I though it was a good one!
If you want Jason Aaron with epic biblical stuff. Check out The Goddamned. Its about man after the fall and before the flood. Awesome story, awesome art by R.M. Guera they really click and I can't wait for more.
