The one I got is totally unmarked, I found it on a selling website called Mercari. It was cheap but strangely has a really high quality feel. I don’t have any real experience with cameras and photography but I’m pretty proud of this picture. I’ll poke around and see if I can find it anywhere.

Here’s a link to a really nice one thats a lot better than what I have, for $30

This one is $6 and not amazing quality, but it can produce some beautiful pictures.

After some digging, I found the one I have, for $18 which is more than what I get it for, but it’s really nice and has a high end feel.

If you are set on this method that's all fine and dandy, but I got a macro lens for ~200 that does fine work. Made for Nikon. It's not really a single purpose lens though. It is a 70-300mm with the ability to work as a macro lense by flip of a switch on the lens. It has a motor so it autofocuses if you want it to but in macro I find it easier to just do it yourself. It's basically this but I don't know for sure that this is the exact thing. Several friends of mine use it as well. Have used it in many environments and it works really well for the price I paid.

That's awesome man, glad it works out for you =] Most likely though, that lens will not have achieved the magnification I needed to fill the entire frame with a 0.2mm aphid.

The only consumer lens I know of that can do that is this canon for $900

I didn't make it, I modified one already available on Amazon for $17!

The thing on top is a built-in LED light to help better see subjects when shooting in the dark. It has a flexible neck to move it around. I can also stick it inside a small hole I cut in the top of the diffuser to stabilize it better.

I don't know about OP's, but this is the set I'm very happy with: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ABST1UQ/ . An important thing to consider is their CPU contacts, which allows the extensions to communicate with CPU lenses.

Sure did! I got the clip-on lens from Amazon and it is called an Apexel clip-on macro lens. Here’s the link- Apexel Professional 12X/24X Advanced Macro Lens for iPhone 6/6plus 6plus/6S Plus SE Samsung S6/S6 Edge S7/S7 Edge HTC and Android Phones & Tablets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IMV2QL4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_mt0pDbZJ9YEVH

Canon t2i, Pentax Vivitar 28mm @ f/8, ISO 100, 1/100, 49mm reversal ring, on camera flash with a paper envelope as a diffuser, second curtain. Handheld up to a window across the room. I used lightroom for the levels.

Its one of those small swiss army knives that are thrown in as a bonus when you buy a big one.

I'll post the 'after' one tomorrow.

The Canon 50mm 1.8 STM. Surprisingly sharp for the $100 I paid for it!

I'm using it with these extension tubes.

Sorry I'm still new to photography, I only got my new slr in new year. I meant a macro attachment, just clips on to the end of your lens. Cheaper option for some practice before forking out for an expensive lens. Here's one below:

I've been messing with a similar extension tube + zoom lens + reversed lens setup. You can get a face-to-face lens adapter for fairly cheap.

I can't imagine trying to hold it by hand, this setup is difficult as it is.

Have you tried something like this?

It kills on contact. I've used one similar on my two, and it works well.

No clue how I missed that. It’s the Meike.
