I love this book by Sali Hughes 😍
It has the basics as well as general beauty advice like how much to tip your hairdresser & where to start with eyebrows 😁

Also, Avon take returns! They're stuff isn't the best but for experimentation it's great! You could try, say, all the different types of foundations (like cream-to-powder or liquid) see what you like & then send it all back 😈

Edit: forgot my reccs!

Foundation: L'Oréal infallible porcelain (best pale foundation ever!) with an Avon beauty blender.

Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (it's liquid & great for under eyes but if you need coverage elsewhere use cream concealer)

Eyeshadow: Makeup Revolution palettes

Blush: MUA single powder blush (amazing pigment & £1)

Powder: Collection loose powder

Brows: Sleek Brow Stylist

Mascara: the cheapest!!! Cheap mascara is life 😆

I just ordered a lorac skinny palette from Amazon for £15 including delivery. It's a lovely neutral palette and the quality is amazing imo it beats any sleek or MUA hands down.

Here's the link in case you are interested http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KYJDWDY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1415815491&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40

If you're pale and cool toned, NYX blush in taupe is great (except that it builds up a coating quite quickly so I keep having to scrape off the top layer!). Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's one of the products Boots are stocking, but you can get it on Amazon.

I have heard good things about Sleek's contour kits too, but the only ones I've seen in store to swatch looked a bit too warm for me.

You can get Wet n Wild's Fergie eye primer on amazon for about £5. People on MUA rave about it all the time, I've just got it and it seems pretty good to me :)

I had this suggested and I LOVE IT!

I love a Korean cleansing oil available online. This stuff melts everything off. I typically use a simple cleansing wipe then follow up with this and rise with a warm wash cloth. So so so nice

I don't know what percentage alcohol that one is and Superdrug doesn't bother to list any product information behind a basic description. I would recommend 70% for sanitizing make up. There are plenty on amazon.

I have this soap and elf daily spray as well

I had the same problem a few months ago, check out the thread here for suggestions.

I decided on the Illamasqua blush up brush like u/Skittlepower mentioned, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative though W7 have a similar brush. You can find it on Amazon here & I think Fragrance Direct sell it too.

Multipack! These ones to be exact. I was so happy that I went back and bought another set for my sister.
