Damn that's was fast! My shade is never on but I'm glad it worked out for you! lol
So what I've read and my experience with it aren't the same, the suggested use is using a very fine liner brush to pick up "a rice grain" amount and either applying as concealer blending with the same brush or dabbing over your face and blending with a large blending brush or sponge (for this I think you would need to have well hydrated skin) as well mixing with a moisturizer/sunscreen/etc for a lighter coverage.
How I've been using my tiny sample pot is taking small amounts (more than recommended apparently) and dotting on the areas I want to conceal/even out then blending with this ancient but super soft kabuki brush but I don't buff in circles because that feels a bit rough on my skin rather drag the brush gently to make sure it blends with my skintone (though my sample pot isn't quite my shade right now so this will be less work for you).
To conceal I use this flat blending brush to lightly layer, since my skin is dry I don't follow up with powder to set but YMMV.
I think Sephora has a video on the product page on how to use if you want to check it out!
edit: If anyone is in the NC50 range there are STILL 2 in stock for $25 as well there's a bunch of KA stuff reduced since it's the last couple of items in stock including blushes, for the rest of us still waiting for our shade to drop consider signing up for price notification on camelcamelcamel.com :)
I surprisingly held back when it comes to makeup/skincare, since I just found some good Winners stuff last weekend.
BUTTTT I did take advantage of KKW Beauty’s sale, I got the Classic Palette, the new version of the Cream Highlight Stick, and the new version of her Cream Contour Stick. I heard that they have a tonnnn more product in them than the dual sticks?
I spent a lot on tech, finally got my hands on this Nintendo Switch!! Also got Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee, Mario Kart, and Rocket League!
For PC gaming, I ended up investing in a good pair of headphones: GLOWING RGB SteelSeries gaming headphones, I’m sooooo in love with them. Also got a new RGB keyboard and mouse combo from CoolMaster, and a wireless charging pad/headphone stand because I love dual purpose things lol.
Also got a surprisingly large amount of cute home stuff from Forever21’s Cyber Monday sale.
As you can see I’m all over the place lol.
I found it on Amazon for 4.99 with free shipping on orders over CA$35 I'm not sure if it's worth it but if there's other stuff that you want from amazon, it may be worth a shot since you've practically looked everywhere

or on ebay approx. C $7.56 and shipping is C $5.71)

I tried my best to help! Good luck!
I ordered from some Amazon! I was a bit skeptical but figured even one solid brush out of the group for $15 would be worth it, and I'm SUUUUPER pleasantly surprised, I love them all! (I did also get the eye set from the same brand, all good brushes too - but these ones were the winners in my eyes):

Makeup organizers for SURE. There are some really great budget acrylic ones that I've found, and you can also get some file sorters like this one to help keep palettes organized!
Also, not really makeup related (although could be if you like to dress up your vanity!) but I thought these were super cute. A little on the pricey side but I tend to use gift cards on things that I wouldn't normally buy for myself either because of price or lack of necessity haha.
Link is below. It even comes in a pack of 3 for better value. I haven’t tried the cosrx ones, but I’ve tried these Stridex ones. They didn’t change my life. They are like Holy Grail status on the Skin Care Addiction subreddit tho. Also recommend searching amazon for the cosrx pads if you like them! There’s lots of Asian beauty items available.

It looks like you have nice skin so you probably don't need that much foundation unless that's the look you're going for! The colour might be too cool-toned and pale, too. What about just wearing a tinted moisturizer or BB cream or whatever, and some cream or liquid blush? Maybe have the blush cover a wider area, placed a bit more like where a spray of freckles would be and blended out. If you have really dark circles under your eyes (can't tell) maybe use just a little bit of yellow-toned corrective concealer in the middle, blended out well so there isn't that white 'u' effect. The blush could overlap it some. To me you look like a perfect candidate for Glossier-style makeup 😊 Some people's faces can take tons of makeup and still look natural; you look like someone who doesn't need much at all. Not sure what your brows are like but I'd make them on the darker side with a liquid pen like this https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0025X0PCS/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A3BMTK3TFIAEPB&psc=1 .
I bought this brush set from Amazon after hearing the youtuber Thataylaa talk about it, and I like it. I have also slowly added individual Elf and Real Techniques which you can find at Rexall among other places when I feel like there's a gap in my collection. I love my Elf and Real Techniques brushes, so if you want to start out by making a little list of what types of products you need brushes to apply, then going to somewhere like Rexall and looking through their sets and individual brushes to fill your needs, that would be a good way to start.
I recommend the Bed Head Curlipops one! I have this one and it's great. My hair is thick(ish) but the hairs themselves are quite fine if that makes sense. This one gives me such nice curls and I always get compliments when I use it!
I'm Chinese with thick hair, and I LOVE mixed plastic + boar bristle brushes like this one. A lot of regular paddle brushes get broken because I have a lot of hair to brush through that is prone to tangling easily, and brushes like these ones have enough resistance for my thicker hair and never falls apart on me. The one I have is actually from Kardashian Beauty which I got on sale somewhere random for really cheap, but anything with mixed bristles should work. These brushes also make my hair look sooo silky and smooth. I will never use anything else. :)
Jerdon JGL9W Tabletop Tri-Fold Two-Sided Lighted Makeup Mirror with 5x Magnification and 4-Light Settings, White Finish https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0000AFUT3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MEvhDb14ZPWFP
I bought this one from Amazon and I’ve been really happy with it so far. The different light settings are very helpful.
I've tried quite a few gel moisturizers and Clinique DDMG was my HG for years, but I've recently switched to this!
I haven't found it anywhere in stores, but it's always on Amazon for about the same price. I find it's a bit more moisturizing than the Clinique, but still dries quickly and isn't greasy. I'm dehydrated-oily and I love it.
If you don't have them already, Amazon has The Balm products like Betty/Mary/Cindy Lou Manizers, which are priced like $10 cheaper than at Rexall, and have free shipping because they're over $25.
I really like this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Dr-G-Gowoonsesang-Brightening-Peeling-120ml/dp/B007TFW0B6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511223607&sr=8-1&keywords=dr.+g+brightening+peeling+gel&dpID=31y043MaCsL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
It is probably the only skin care product I've used that actually makes a difference in how my skin feels. (Side note: I experimented with Sunday Riley Good Genes by using it every day for a few months just on one side of my face, because I wanted to see if the difference in my skin would be worth the money. It made no difference at all; but maybe that's a good thing, given the cost!)
I got this set last year: the metal ball tipped tool is really nice. It does not have a roller ball so it is easy to clean. You can use any under eye cream you please and the metal feels so nice and cool. It would be easy to carry in your carry on baggage with a few samples of eye cream. I got it on sale so it was about 1/2 the cost listed in this Amazon link but maybe you can find it at Walmart or for cheaper elsewhere.
https://www.amazon.ca/Real-Techniques-prep-prime-Make-up/dp/B01JINOUZ0/ref=sr_1_50?srs=7664334011&ie=UTF8&qid=1527538277&sr=8-50
Hada Labo is my holy grail and it's also one of the most popular and recommended ones on both r/skincareaddiction and r/asianbeauty.
You can get it at Asian stores like Ocean's or T&T or order online for cheaper. It's foaming but it has a low pH so it won't strip your face. The foam is so soft like bathing in clouds. Highly recommend and it doesn't hurt that it's cheaper than Sephora brands.
these from amazon are amazing https://www.amazon.ca/BEAKEY-Blender-Foundation-Blending-Flawless/dp/B01F36JEXE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1536609711&sr=8-3&keywords=sponge+blender
I remember seeing it for $24~ on Amazon about two months ago but it has obviously jumped a lot since then. Use camelcamelcamel to track the prices on Amazon. https://ca.camelcamelcamel.com/theBalm-Mary-Lou-Manizer-2-20-Oz/product/B0065I8MC4
A lot of people seen the trio sisters palette on clearance at Rexall for $12. I haven't gotten one personally since I never seen it in the GTA area
I have this mirror off amazon, only 40 bucks and does all the things
Here
But when I got it, there was still prime shipping and it was a couple dollars cheaper!
