> I think it's going to be an adaptation of the musical.
It's confirmed the musical will be adapted and coming out in 2019, apparently. But...
>I don't think the novel would translate well to film
The novel is set to be produced as a mini-series by ABC, and Salma Hayek's is attached to it (to produce? I forget). I think the novel would translate well as mini series most of all (I said the same thing about Anne Rice's vampire books and she agrees).
> I don't think there's a strong interest for film reimaginings of Wizard of Oz.
I disagree.... Theres like a new oz movie/show every two years or so. So far we've had:
The Wiz Live! last year.
Emerald City coming out next year.
Season 3 on OUAT onward has featured the wicked witch heavily as apart of the main cast.
Oz the great and powerful
Lost in Oz
Witches Of Oz
Legends of Oz and that's just a few off the top of my head.
The Wizard of Oz is both classic and public domain and well known. People just cant stop doing reimaginings of it.
Just fyi, $500 is cheap for a lens. Professional lenses come in closer to the $1500 range.
Canon 24-70 f/2.8L - $1,599
Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM - $1,798
Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E - $1,897
