I was using a Blumfeld battery power timer and pump (amazon) to water. This pump is sitting on the edge of a 5g bucket outside the tent. The bucket has the same nutrient mixture as what is in the res for each plant. It was set to water every 7 hours for 25 second run time. This provided about 100-150ml of water to the plants each time it ran.

The Strawberry Nuggets took 7 days for roots to reach the res, Cookies took 8. I turned off the auto-water pump on day 9. Today is day 11 and they are happy girls.

This is one of my favorite set of tools in my plant nutrient artillery. If you’re not about it, consider using limestone. The main thing is that you add a base, as opposed to an acid.

Edit: Also, check this picture out. You’ll see why you don’t want your pH at 6. https://www.researchgate.net/figure/The-effect-of-soil-pH-on-nutrient-availability_fig2_277669269

Calmag plus is from Botanicare, you're using all GH except for your calmag which is botanicare?

My res is going cloudy when adding silica directly to water, then phing to 7, then adding calmag, then everything else and the phing again.

I can't figure out why and was thinking it might be because I'm using GH silica and Botanicare calmag. But if you're using those two and not having issues it's gotta be something else. Still probably gonna buy CaliMagic like right now since my calmag plus is basically empty

The worst part of it going cloudy is it takes atleast 8 hours to go cloudy so figuring out what fell out of solution is a bitch

Edit- just found that GH does make a product called CaMg+ as well as CaliMagic...

I can't even figure out what the difference between the two is on their website. Just going to buy Calimagic now and hope using GH Silica/Calmag solves my issue

Well i test for LUX and calculate par based on height, spectrum used and lux to come up with the average par. I'm not the most experienced person for indoor grows since all my other grows have had solar power. With LUX and watt meters while the data i collect might be off its still something to go based on for future grows.

Just to pipe in because I see this a lot.. For what it's worth, and absolutely not to discount the solid advice, I think the FFOF being too hot was more a problem back in the days of autoflowers being more new and "unstable" for lack of a better word. Even a ~3:1 FFOF/perlite mix (along with a small part of the AN line) has been getting me a couple ounces per plant under chinese COBs for a couple years with no issue. Again, SloatThritter's got their stuff dialed in, I also definitely agree with the lighting advice. I just wanted to mention that ocean forest isn't necessarily instant doom and gloom or burned plants.

To tack onto that, https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-2-Inch-Count-Black/dp/B001E1Y5O6/ are an LSTer's dream if you are using fabric pots.

I use plant stands designed for cloth pots that allow the bottom of the pot to drain and stops the pot from wicking up any standing water.

You can also use baker's racks or something similar.
