If you want earbuds, I recommend the Edifier P185 https://www.amazon.com/Edifier-P185-Headphones-Earphones-Microphone/dp/B01C7XBGXW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1543090794&sr=8-3&keywords=Edifier+P185

or the koss portapro https://www.amazon.com/Koss-Porta-Headphones-Black-Silver/dp/B00001P4ZH/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1543090821&sr=1-3&keywords=koss+portapro

These things are really good in my opinion but don't block out too much sound if any. The KZ ZST https://www.amazon.com/ZST-Colorful-Banlance-Armature-Earphone/dp/B01N3U9SJG/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1543090934&sr=1-3&keywords=kz+zst

is really good as well with good sound isolation, but might be a little too sharp in the sss sounds. Theses are some subjective recommendations, but I hope it helps. You could find some of these cheaper on aliexpress or on ebay if you don't mind loose packaging.

You can't go wrong with either one of these:

  • 1More E1001-SV1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones

  • the Audiophile Elite

I own both, they're fantastic and under $100. The latter option is amazingly good if you are on a budget. TBH I thought they were going to suck due to the price range, boy I was wrong. The construction is solid, they sound pretty good and I would dare to say, maybe on par with my ATH m40x if it wasn't for my sound card.

The first one is still under $100 and is a moderate bump, superior than my ATH m40x and now my main ones . The sound is rich and crystal clear, less bass heavy yet moderate for the music we listen to.

Definitely, for years I had the Etymotic pair I put below and had zero complaints about them. Recently I switched to the pair of Alpines I put below based off of a lot of positive recommendations and while the sound quality is definitely superior they are a bit hard to get in your ear. Your other option is to just buy the cheap one time use ones you can get in multipacks from CVS or any other drug store which might be a good place to start if you've never used them before. Hope this helps!

Don't buy earbuds or anything bluetooth if you value quality of sound or your ears. Earbuds will damage your eardrums and potentially your inner ear structure if you use them for too long and bluetooth headphones sound like dogshit.

I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40x headphones and they've been the absolute best investment I've ever made. I'd even recommend bumping up to the M50xs if you can afford to do so. They're over-ear and sound absolutely stunning. You'll notice tones in drums and bass that you have never noticed before. They're studio quality and pretty durable. I bring them everywhere with me.

TaoTronics Bluetooth Headphones. I use these when I work out, they're fantastic. They sit really comfortably in my ears and get super loud. Plus they're magnetic, so they stay wrapped around your neck when you're not using them. If you're looking for something cheap, these have served me well for months.

what I use when I'm out/at the gym, good sound quality, good noise cancellation (which is a plus for the gym) and they're pretty sturdy and have survived any wear and tear thus far.

One time around 4th grade my mother bought a Christian cd that had a lot of rock Christian song on it. One of them was an Underoath song. I listened to it a TON. I was never able to get on the internet because we lived in the middle of bum fuck egypt and had dial up. Shortly after that my family started watching a Christian rock music program that was on like every sat night. They had a lot of TDWP and Underoath so I just couldn't wait for sat night to stay up decently late and watch it. After watching that for a while there was an old Christian college in my town that had an Amphitheater. My family went to a free concert of what I am assuming to be locals. There was a pretty heavy band there. I loved them. My parents kept wanting to leave but I think I talked them into staying. Needless to say I fell in love <3

EDIT: I found the CD! http://www.amazon.com/2005-17-Christian-Rock-Hits/dp/B0007VF296/ref=pd_sim_m_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=08242T67DEZJ3CM8DF3R

Not sure if you spend much time on this sub, but we've been waiting for Silent Planet's album Everything Was Sound that comes out tomorrow. You can listen to the first single here. Their first album, The Night God Slept, is also definitely worth buying(Amazon link and sample). They're still somewhat small-time, although hopefully they'll start to break out soon.

I, and some other people here, use Downbeats earplugs. $14. Great protection. And they still let a lot of the sound in and make the show sound great. It's not muffled like a standard solid earplug, it just kind of mutes the roar. Also they are basically invisible, so if you're self conscious about wearing them (you shouldn't be), there's that.

I've had one pair for years and they are still going strong. Very much worth the money. The #1 thing I regret about my showgoing life is not wearing plugs when I was younger. I'm only in my late 20s now and my hearing is pretty bad. Don't go to another show without them.

u/rascalmonster · 1 pointr/Metalcore

I wear them anytime i go to a show. Normally the sound quality is just fine, doesn't ruin anything for me. i hear everything fine, it's just not as loud.

i wore some like this last night at a concert, everything sounded great

Tennmak Pros! Extremely solid chi-fi offering with a removable cable that increases longevity. Comes with foam tips too!

They are a tad on the bassy side, but still provide excellent clarity. For this price I haven't heard anything better.

AudioTechnica ATH-M50x. It can be found for $100-$110 during sales. I have been using them for four years and they sound phenomenal. I have the regular M50 which does not have the detachable cable(only difference)

Check out pretty much any reputable headphone review site and you will see them listed as some of the best headphones you can buy for the price.

I’m not sure what your budget is, but if you can’t afford a good pair of over ear now save your money for a good pair. You’ll be real disappointed to buy a $50+ set and it sounds like some shitty skull candy earbuds.

Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs, Blue Tip with Clear Stem, 1 Pair Standard Fit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G0PPTAK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_d1a1DbMBV3GTW

Been using these for almost a year now. They work great and they’re reusable

I used these for the last show I went to. They were awesome, sounded really clear and my ears were absolutely fine afterwards.

I use these HIFI Elite Super 66's for work and they sound great, are blutooth, and are decently priced.

I use just a standard Crosley Cruiser Portable and a lot of people don't like them cause they're "not the best" apparently but mine is fine, it gets the job done, plus it's pretty small so it doesn't take up a lot of room. The cheapest ones are on Amazon and have a ton of different colors.
