You could have made your own zero suit by sewing one, it takes zero effort to buy a spandex zero suit from amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/Miccostumes-Womens-Samus-Cosplay-Costume/dp/B07N8TZ5XQ/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=zero+suit+samus&qid=1557085834&s=gateway&sr=8-13) and wear it.
It's like those people who "cosplay" D.Va by wearing the exact same bodysuit instead of making their own. Cosplay usually revolves around making your own costume, people who cosplay usually don't have any appreciation for people who just buy body suits as their entire cosplay.
