You got it, and thanks for the compliment! Here’s some photos of it:

Forgot to mention - the other side has a map of South Vietnam painted on it, which shows cities and battle sites. Albert Ettinger wrote a novel called “Doughboy with the Fighting 69th”: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0671782436/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XiN1BbJGZYZF4
No idea if they ever got this to him, but it ended up in South Carolina and I found it at an antique shop and immediately bought it. Think it was like $55? I love unique items and anything with a story. Here’s the text:
To: Mr Albert M. Ettinger, in appreciation.

As someone who is well experienced in milsurp and WW2 re-enacting, KO-Cho-Line is the best product to use. Neats foot oil is outdated and inferior. Lots of products use organic material that can cause funny smells to arise and even cause the thread used to stitch the leather to decompose. Some products can cause the leather to become oily and nasty.
Just this week I took an original MP-40 sling that was found fitted on a K98 that looked like it was ready to decay away to nothing and bought it back to amazing condition with Ko-Cho-Line.

personally I don't put anything on mine unless it is about to be destroyed and then I use a product like Pecard antique leather dressing, but you are better off just keeping the humidity between 50 and 60%, below 50% and leather dries out and cracks above 60% and things can rust. I have had leather come back to life just by having it in the proper humidity range. Thanks for showing your items.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^ it's expensive but you'll thank yourself. They're expensive for a reason :)
I would use something like this for your awards and smaller items:

My only issue is that it can't hold up a mask if you don't have a helmet on it. It makes it too front heavy.
I can’t find anything to nail down a date, but those aren’t jets. The patch is reproduced and those are geometric figures, I’ll find a link.

Try Home Depot or Menards. I haven't bought it in years. I used to use it at work to dissolve adhesives. We called it cancer in a can. Maybe it's not sold anymore?
edit: this might work. I've never used it to know for sure.

Definitely possible. It could also be a "generic" Transportation Corps device but don't count that as a definitive answer because this outside my area of "expertise". The Googles have failed us so you'd have to look at book on DUI to get a definitive answer.
