I wrote some tips for someone wanting to see Billie Eilish this year, I'll paste it here -
My real advice though is not to even worry about getting to the front, especially with how crowded Billie will be. Last year she wasn't close to as big as she is now and her crowd was MASSIVE, almost comparable to a final act so this year it's going to be even bigger. Getting to the front and staying there is a much bigger test of endurance than you would think. My first year there was about 5 years ago and Eminem was a final act. People got there 2 hours before the park opened (About 9AM) RAN to the stage he was performing at, and stayed there until he came on (I think 11 PM). It was CRAZY hot and by the time he was coming out there was a sea of people passing out, being crowd-surfed to the front, getting heatstroke, I saw someone pay $100 for a half drunk water bottle because once you are in the crowd, you are IN THE CROWD. There is no escape.
That being said it's a blast, but unless you REALLY love Billie, I would stick with your friends and float around. Maybe get some binoculars.
I'm curious about this too. I have a CamelBak that I brought to Shaky Knees last year and had no issue bringing it in but I see Music Midtown says no multi-pocket bags and technically this one has at least 2 zippered compartments... I'm just going to take it and hope for the best. Having that constant source of water is a life saver at these things.
Every year, the requirements for backpacks have changed. I bought this bag 2 years ago bc it fit the dimensions. Just bring a small-ish bag and be prepared for them to poke the shit out of it.
Lotion execpt it's not
Hair Brush, except it's a 5oz flask
Boozebrella except ...well actually the name says it all
