Koji Kondo is a pretty cool frood, specifically his works on Wind Waker and Super Mario Galaxy. For movies, Michael Giacchino is king.

The best advice I can give would be to grab an Spaced Repetition System program. I've heard Anki is pretty good, but I use Surusu because it's web based. You can start filling out kana cards, and later use it for sentences. for kanji, I'd recommend Heisig's Book, as well as Reviewing the Kanji, for the premade flash cards of each chapter.

This fellow has some interesting things to say about language study, but is also a try hard marketer and language extremist. Take with a grain of salt.

Terrible coffee! We do get infinity amounts of it though, which is nice. I actually calculated that based on my current daily consumption of sewer coffee I've effectively increased my salary by ~5,200 USD.

It's funny you bring this up actually, I'm also browsing /r/coffee right now looking for people's thoughts on this.

Not NSA but your statements of my career grandeur are appreciated.

So what has been new/good/interesting in your life since we last spoke, friend?

Happy new years you nerd!

Pretty much all my days off/holidays involve hanging out with my family, or playing videogames, or both. I got some cool pony toys and such, and the best book ever. Calvin & Hobbes is my favorite comic of all time. I feel I kind of suck at giving, I'm not overly creative and I was quite limited this year. Mainly because of the amount of money I spent on the wife already earlier in the year.

You might want to check out this guy and his book aptly named the Code Book. I can't speak for it's authenticity and how accurate all the information is, being just an amateur, but it is quite interesting and gave me a nice overview of different secret message writing techniques. Worth a read.

They're about a few different people that take on the mantle of the 'Incarnations'; including, but not limited to: Chronos, or father time; Mars, the god of war; and the three sisters of fate, just to name a few :)

Edit - Linky to amazon page.

Well I started with Python, which there is an ABUNDANCE of tutorials for. I also used pygame. The tutorials for pygame are slightly less common and useful, but I initially learned the basics with a book.

I use a logitech (similar to this one). It's not great, but it's cheap and it works absolutely fine for basic voice chat.

Again, wait until we finalize a roster though. I'd hate for you to spend money on something and not be available for the actual game time or something like that.
