From what I’ve read possession is considered ownership in NC. I’m 20 and open carry all the time using this just make sure you don’t carry anywhere with posted signs, courthouses, schools, funerals, parades, places that sell and serve alcohol there might be a couple others I think. Google will answer a lot of questions.
note - some people advocate for usage of new crush washers where applicable. I always reuse the same crush washers and have never experienced issues.
